Great time hiking a 1.2 mile section of the Appalachian Trail in VA yesterday. What my steps lack in numbers was made up for in rugged terrain. LOL

@DaffyGirl88 wow wow wow! What beautiful scenery! The Appalachian Trail is on my list of places I want to see/explore!!!1 -
I am on my first break at work and I have made it pretty far with my water already. Made a bowl of nonfat Greek yogurt and berries this morning. Not the greatest, but on my way to a *hopefully* successful low carb day

@cmhubbard92 Those berries look fantastic!! And you definitely should check out the AT, it dips into CT so it's not far from you. I've done several small increments in VA, WV and ME. The longest I've done was 5 miles, which is 10 out and back, and the prettiest was just 1 mile in ME that went to a waterfall that you can swim in. The water was WAY o cold for me but my kids and husband had a great time.1

I am sore today from my non-walking based exercise yesterday, but in a good way. I really should do more of this. I was doing some strength workouts on my back porch, but then the heat wave hit. I don't really have a great place in the house to do them, so I tend to avoid them.
@HASWLRS
I love that good sore from a good workout. I have been avoiding exercising outdoors as well. Even the dogs don't want to be out in the heat. Hopefully, the heat wave won't last too much longer.1 -

I got a new 48oz nalgene today, I have stuck it in the freezer and now have two two 32oz and the 48oz bottle to take to work with me. I also made my oven roasted veggies for work tomorrow. I am looking forward to them! They smelled great! I am going to bed a little earlier tonight after not getting the best sleep the last few nights!
@cmhubbard92
I hope you had a good rest. Roasted veggies sound delicious. The fruit and yogurt bowl looked awesome. I have been having cereal more lately as an excuse to eat more berries.0 -

@DaffyGirl88 I have never even been to that part of Connecticut! Maybe if our vacation in October ends up being cancelled, we can go explore there! That is so exciting! I am happy you have had that experience!1 -

Thank you! I did sleep a little more last night. I am hoping tonight is a little bit better! I love fruit in my cereal! Mostly bran with strawberries and banana!1 -

I'm ready for the weekend! I was on-track for most of the day. I think once all of the "junk" food is out of the house, I am going to focus on low carb/keto, and focus on fueling myself better! My lunch was really good today (salad with hard boiled egg and bacon, a little oil and salt and pepper). Breakfast needs to be adjusted just a little, I need to add cinnamon or cocoa to give the yogurt a little flavor, in addition to the fruit ok, enough of my rambling!2 -

After 9 hours at work, decided to have pizza for dinner, and I would have been okay if I had stuck to one slice. Bit I tried to have one and a half slices, and my calories didn't work out. So, I sabotaged the whole day and ate more, and more, and more! Why??!! I must say it's getting harder and harder to have seven good days in a row, which also means loser weight is getting harder and harder! We are spending Saturday night at my BIL's cottage, so those two days will be fun, but high in calories (in both the solid and liquid form!) Today there is a staff BBQ at lunch and I wasn't going to go, except statements didn't quite get completed yesterday so I will be there, and have been asked to pick up the salads on the way in! So today might be a wash as well....we will see.4 -

7 days in a row is really hard to do. I am very jealous of those that can do it. I however find it too hard personally and need a break on the weekends.
Don’t feel bad about enjoying treats in life (as long as it doesn’t become daily).
Especially in 2020, that time spent with family is really good for mental health, which is just as important as physical health.
Enjoy your weekend and get back in the swing of things on Sunday or Monday!1 -

Pizza is just so hard--just like pasta! It takes very little to go over the calories. You've been doing great overall, so a day here or there isn't going to throw things off.2 -
