Great time hiking a 1.2 mile section of the Appalachian Trail in VA yesterday. What my steps lack in numbers was made up for in rugged terrain. LOL
How fun--and a great workout too! I live in Richmond, Va.

Reflections:
I need to remember to weigh in tomorrow morning, it slipped my mind this morning. Hopefully I'm down because it was up earlier this week. Also, goal for tomorrow is to run early in the morning, around 5:30/6am, depending on wake up time. Also, mow lawn, meal plan and grocery shop. We have a heat wave on it's way to us, and I want to get everything done early! My only hope is that it isn't stifling too early and that my weekend doesn't fly by as quickly as it usually does! I hope you all start off your weekend well!1 -
@erikNJ I can request your weigh in to be changed to Friday, if that's what you'd like! I saw your post and completely forgot to respond! Happy Friday!
@brandi_84 the berries were great, my plain yogurt was just too tart! I'm hoping I find a happy medium!
@murdog3t I hope you can relax this weekend! I am glad you have been able to reconnect with your patients! Fabulous job staying on track this week while working!
@HASWLRS I hope you find a happy balance with all the things you are doing this weekend! Enjoy it, as you should, and then focus on having another great week!
@DaffyGirl88 no worries about the double posts! I am sure @brandi_84 will have it figured out! Fabulous work this week while also being able to enjoy time with your daughter!0 -

Previous: 179.1

I had to triple check my weight and double check the scale was working right this morning. A number I did not expect!6 -
Thanks, guys. I skimmed through the posts again. (This morning I have to do laundry and make a breakfast casserole to take with us). Yesterday was another self sabotage day....why can't an "over" day just be "over"? Why does it have to be "so far over" that you are just eating for the sake of eating???!!! But yes, I am going to enjoy the overnight on the lake with my BIL, (who I see at work) and my SIL (who I have seen briefly for 5 minutes since the end of March).2

Starting: 188
Week 1: 186.5
Week 2: 187.3
Week 3: 188.2
That gives me a gain for the month. No excuses, just the fact that I have been taking it too easy the last couple of weeks and not making myself get up and exercise in the morning to burn off the extra calories I don't want to give up.
I have been tracking everything, everyday (even on weekends, now) so I cannot deny where the weight is coming from.

@brandi_84 *hugs* I totally understand what you mean. I had to give myself a little reality check because i kept trying to let myself splurge on an iced coffee for work. It definitely wasn't helping my pocket, and in the long run it will not help my weight loss. I hope you can motivate yourself again this week and get yourself back in action!0 -

Hi Brandi, It is a big step that you are tracking everything. I am doing the same, and though I do not like what I am seeing at times, it does feel like a step forward. And I feel like things would be a lot worse if I wasn't tracking. It's really helping me identify some of my problem areas. Anyway, what you have logged is barely a gain; it's probably even gone by now. I am in the same boat with not being pleased with this month's effort. But we still have almost half the month left--plenty of time to turn things around! You are so close and can do this.1 -

Reflections:
I ended up not running this morning... I am kind of disappointed about that, but I have nobody to blame but myself. I did do a rough meal plan by searching keto recipes, and planned out my shopping list pretty well. Ended up getting all but two items.
For the most part I tried to ease myself into keto, but I knew I wouldn't reach the goal with a pre-planned sweet treat-chocolate delight that my mom made yesterday. For dinner we grilled outside, pork chops with veggie(asparagus, red onion, green/red bell peppers) packets. It was delicious with the marinade I made for the pork. I am excited to try new recipes that I have printed out!
