murdog3t and anyone else who does IF, how do you do it without being ravenously hungry? Or, how do you IGNORE being ravenously hungry? I'm asking because I have considered trying it many times but that always stops me. Last year when I had to fast for my *oscopy I thought I'd die!! That or freeze to death. Are you cold? Stupid question, how could you be with this heat right? :o So I guess I'm looking for any helpful hints or lessons learned that have helped you with your journey. Thanks!
I don't specifically follow IF, but I generally only eat between 7am and 2pm during the week, which would be 17:7. I wake up at 2 but don't eat until 7, 10 and about 1:45/2, but then that's pretty much it for the rest of the day. I think it works like that because I try to have filling food, like my greek yogurt, something with a lot of protein in it. We are all wired a little different, so you would just want to find your happy place. As long as your calories are lower and keep you full... it doesn't matter when you have them. :) plus, make it something you can enjoy! :)

👋 it’s was hard at first but it’s what I prefer I have been doing it for 2 yrs now ( not always keto but always IF) I get cold but I just put on a sweater hehe 😉. The hunger subsides eventually. I get hungry around 2 pm but try. (Big word) not to eat till 3 or 4 . Some days window is longer some days shorter. ( especially on Saturday) If you try it your body will tell you when it’s time to eat. Try this next time you get hungry try having a big glass of water (sometimes your body is thirsty not really hungry) I also believe it helps with inflammation and so far this 2 years not even 1 cold ( knock on wood) I did get a headache the first few days 2 yrs ago but not so much anymore unless I eat way too many carbs . Dr Berg & Dr Mandy , Thomas DeLauer, and Dr Ken Berry on YouTube have loads of info

    Have a great day

    Reflections:
Today was a bad day all around... I had a tooth abscess come on suddenly, my jaw is in severe pain, I left work 3hrs early and had to go to the dentist. Forked over way too much money for a surgery I am now having a week from Monday-all four wisdom teeth yanked out at once... I'm extremely emotional because TOM is coming, I cried while eating salad because it hurt that bad, and I find out the dentist office closed at 5 and NEVER SENT MY ANTIBIOTIC PRESCRIPTION IN!!!!! I am just ugh... over today!!! And now, with absolutely ZERO relief from my tooth, I am out of work tomorrow. 😑

Outstanding job on the weight loss! This is a little silver lining to your bad day. A tooth abscess is so painful--I am so sorry to hear this, and hope the medication brings you some relief.

I felt good about yesterday because after dinner, I cut my serving of strawberry shortcake in half so I could stay under calories. And it was really all I needed; I didn't feel like I was missing anything.

The area around my eyes is really swollen at the moment because of a poison ivy reaction. I'm very sensitive to it. However, I got some prednizone yesterday from doctor and it seems to be helping a bit already. I haven't felt like exercising, but I think I can do something today. I bought some hand weights the other day.

@erikNJ thank you so much! I will be picking up my antibiotics shortly and hopefully some relief will be on it's way! It's a real bummer, but I am glad that I will eventually get this mess taken care of!
