She ate your ear?????🤯2

But how will you be able to listen without an ear??????3

The EAR of corn!…..silly rabbit!….and I was going to make black beans, corn cut off the cob, diced tomatoes, onions, peppers, etc and have with baked pita bread triangles….some days you have to be quick around here with leftover food!3
-
Tea is tomato pasta dish - made up as gone along!3
-
Connie - that black bean dish sounds pretty fantastic. Maybe I'll find an ear of corn to make it a reality in my kitchen! (no one to grab the last ear most days)2
-
I really like the black bean salad and no one else really does so I get it all to myself!
Some days John and I make dinner out of our daughters leftovers!…her family drives her crazy at mealtime with what they will eat…she would be happy just sharing our meals because it is the food she grew up on!…our son would eat anything…probably eat what PAV brews up!…3 -
I found two small boneless pork chops in the freezer…I diced them up and dug the wok out of the pantry….throwing in some frozen stir fry veggies, extra broccoli, diced peppers, onions, and garlic….making some white rice as I haven’t had time to eat today and I need some food…210 calories a cup but I have plenty of calories left!4

Summer sweet corn here in Indiana is like a religion. It is so so good. I have it at least once a week when the corn stall at the farmer's market is there. Just amazing. I roast it in the oven in the husk at 350 for about 45 minutes. A little butter... a little salt...3

Taber corn is the best

Dinner tonight is lean ground beef patties with grilled peppers, onions, and mushrooms….maybe a slice of provolone on top and call it Philly Steak!…I think I saw some hot dog buns to use as a roll!…..might just have a salad with the meat and no bread….oh, the decisions….3
-
Sounds good, Connie. I could make something like that with my veggie sausages! (would, ideally, have a salad on the side - or maybe some little potatoes??)
I had to look up Taber corn. Is it really that good? Flavourful? or just really sweet?2 -
I miss eating sweet corn, but it just doesn't agree with me any more. (sigh) But yes, as a native Hoosier, there's nothing like fresh sweet corn.
Tonight is our fish fry night, which is various things such as fried fish and fried shrimp, hush puppies, and french fries with green beans. As usual, some people get more of something and less of something else, and I wind up with six shrimp and a cornbread muffin, which is fine with me.6 -
I had peanut butter on toast. In my defence it was organic palm-oil-free-unsweetened-100% natural peanut butter...on good granary bread,,, but yeah. Not the best choice I could've made. Never mind.
I was doing an hour long group turbo ride at 20:25 so I needed the carbs....and man, it was a BRUTAL ride on a mountain course so I was really glad of them. And the 3 Haribo Gummy Bears I sucked as I pedalled....3 -
Chip shp chips here … don’t ask. Went to footy to watch son, ended up caring for a head injury! Hope lad is doing okay!5

Bleeding heck gushers! I thought you guys not longer allowed bottles in the field???!!! How about mushy peas instead of chips?😹2
-
Garfield you have to fuel your exercise so not sure why you're concerned. You don't climb the Alps on cauliflower! Or else the ride may stink!🙀😹3

Sounds like a perfect choice for what you were doing!!!
I, intelligently skipped supper tonight. It worked out okay because I went to see a movie and they were having a $5.00 beer night - normal price $8.00 - so I had a Wellington Helles Lager and Reeses Peanut butter cups! Not that is "Not the best choice I could've made." ... but Never Mind.
Hope lad is okay too, Atki. It wasn't your lad?2 -

I am just NE of Indianapolis.
Farmers Market starts Saturday actually, but it's not corn season quite yet. So will have to wait on that a bit longer. I love the weekly market. I go every Saturday if I am able to do so. The produce and meats are just amazing and I have my favorite farmers. The blackberries from the Mennonite's stand are always the best. And I always allow myself one treat from a bakery. One place has croissant cinnamon rolls... but I only get ONE treat. Otherwise I will buy all the bakery goods, run out of money for the healthy stuff, and then eat all the bakery goods. Not a good situation.5 -
Athijade I miss going home to indiana so much….I used to road trip solo twice a year but the past few years I haven’t gotten to….not sure when I will get to again…I grew up S. of Indianapolis in Seymour….I still have a working farm there that I own with my cousins…my best memories are long hot lazy days at my grandparents with my cousins in the summer…times were so much simpler….playing outside all day, running in the cornfields playing hide n seek, catching crawdads in the creek and walking on the railroad tracks….and of course eating fresh corn and tomatoes and cucumbers with every meal my gramma made for us!5

Prewashed radish packages from the supermarket? Previously frozen? 🙀😘1

Wouldn't think so - unless the reefer on the trailer was malfunctioning!2
-
For me tonight - the salad I was supposed to have for lunch and a suggested serving ( ) of the President's Choice brand Eggplant Parmigiana. Wish me luck at stopping at a suggested serving!6
-
You can do it, Laurie. 😊
The plan for tonight is chicken Caesar salad but depending on what time I get home and how tired I am, it may be minus the chicken.2 -
I didn't do it - but my calories for the day are still good.4

I made whole wheat spaghetti with sauce last night... but the sauce had ground beef, diced zucchini, and diced mushrooms in it. So I call it a win.
This morning though I am not feeling great. Really fatigued. Sipping on a Sprite and nibbling on Cheez Its because my stomach doesn't like me. So not a healthy breakfast, but it's all I can stomach atm.5 -
Hope you felt better the rest of the day1

In honor of mother’s day, we went to In N Out where I indulged in one of their fabulous 🍔burgers. I had a double single (one cheese) and 1/3 🍿order of fries. It cost half a day’s calories but I only do it a few times a year so ....
Tonight it’s non fat yogurt with a sprinkle of Raisin Bran. Not many veggies were consumed today 🥺

Elder Son took me out for lunch and we split an order of onion rings and each had a slice of a deep dish pizza. We brought the rest of it home, and Son and Girlfriend have each had a piece for dinner. I will have a piece myself once I feel hungry again.
Boyfriend thinks I look slimmer through the midsection, so I must be doing something right.5
