Thank you all for your wonderful support and motivation! So good to have acceptance. I really don't want to let anyone down and I know rationally that humans cannot just shed weight like crazy or we risk some very serious repercussions. I told hubby it's because I thought about indulging this week in a pound of Cadbury mini-eggs (why are they only available during peak diet time, I ask?) and had to send him to the store so I wouldn't risk bringing home the bag. So, rough week staying committed and I was in my feelings reporting my 'meager' loss to the group. I am now off to get in some major steps to get over the pity party. 'Pull yourself up by your boot straps and git to work' I say!

I was wondering why all the Friday weigh ins were being posted today and was confused about why MFP was reminding me to weigh in. I finally relized it was actually Friday.5

Week 3
P/W: 205.6
C/W: 205.6
**Any ideas to break a plateau??? I have tried more carbs, less carbs, changing up my exercise.
There has been no movement in going on 2 months
@mooreshelly09
I don't know what to tell you. I've been really strict this week along with exercise and I have been gaining. I try to remind myself that it is normal when getting back to heavy workouts. But if I don't see the weight come off in a few weeks, I may seek professional advice.1 -

@annabananamc I understand. Just be sure to weigh in tomorrow.0 -

I notice a lot of us are around a maintain or small losses this week. We just won back to back weeks in the challenge cause we all had big losses. It’s natural for the body to do this. It is very hard to keep having big losses week after week after week. Especially coming after the Christmas/New Year holidays where people tend to not do well with health.
Keep working at it. The weight will drop with consistency, even if the losses are small
I needed to see this today. I haven't weighed in for the week yet - will do so tomorrow - and even though I have been tracking/weighing all my food and working out, I don't "feel" like any weight came off. This is the week that will make me or break me. I need to remember that not all weeks are big losses and every small ones add up. I cannot get off track just because of what I see on the scale tomorrow morning. Its just a moment in time!4 -

Thanks @brandi_84 it's been difficult to get to 140.0, I keep getting close but just can't get there. It won't be happening next week either as I'm going to FL for the weekend to visit a friend I haven't seen since pre-COVID. I expect there will be a lot of wine 🍷 or margaritas involved. 😉
Have a great weekend everyone! 😊1 -

well, it was better after peeing all day, but still not ideal for the week. May this coming week improve!

@annabananamc It wasn't really much of a gain. I'm sure this coming week will be better.2 -

Thanks Brandi for the encouragement! This week ended on a down note, but I'm already bouncing back and more hopeful for next. I feel pretty stuck so thinking I need to mix something up - weights, or longer workouts or SOMETHING

***sigh***
@maryc11 you are down 16 pounds for the month, that's an average of over 5 pounds each week. That is absolutely nothing to sigh about!
For reference, I started my weight loss in November 2018 at 246.0 and it has been a very up and down journey. I had months with a 15 pound loss, months with a 2 pound loss, and some months with a gain. I am in the mid 160s now, and I am grateful for all I've learned along the way, no matter how slow things have gone at times.
Trust what you're doing! Weight loss is not a straight line. And I can guarantee you have lost these 16 pounds faster than you put them on. Keep doing what you are doing, and you are headed on the right path.
Also, I've found in the past, losing too fast in a short amount of time (2014, 70 pounds in 5 months) makes it almost impossible to develop good habits and learn how to maintain. That is why, by 2018, I had gained all but two pounds back. This time, I'm losing much slower, and I'm learning how to indulge on special occasions
