    I just found myself drooling over your brioche French Toast. I haven't had decent brioche since I as in Northern France, years ago... Anyway, it is helping that I've started focusing on getting movement in earlier and earlier. Glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day!!

    Look at all of those high step counts! When I saw your post, I immediately thought of Rocky Balboa running up the Museum of Art steps in Philadelphia 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    @rwood566
    Cheers to the movement today! The 4-mile walk and the arm exercises with a 15-pound dumbbell 🎉🎉🎉 Plus a low calorie day. You were on a roll.

    Please don't be so hard on yourself. If you heard someone here had a similar experience, you would be one of the first people to support her/him. Those are great suggestions that you had, talking it through with your BT and phoning your friend, to possibly meet him before he leaves.

    That holiday a day calendar sounds like a hilarious way to make lasting memories. It's too bad that it wasn't a sock donation, it could have freed some house elves.

    I actually expected worse results after taking our youngest son to a soccer tournament in Kansas City, KS. The team's choice of restaurants were pretty disastrous with the healthiest vegetable options were the choice of potato salad or coleslaw sides but I didn't want to be anti-social and at least the BBQ was really enjoyable. At the end of the weekend, our team came in second in the championship game (we lost to a team that's ranked 187 in the nation for this age group) and I got a few more steps in than I might otherwise so all in all still fun. Anyway, I'm glad to be back home so I can get back to some sense of normalcy. I rowed for 10 minutes to get back in the swing of things - I need to work on extending that to 15 min but I tired quickly this morning so something to work on.

    Hi all, here for Monday check in.

    Now hit 30.2 pounds gone so far!!

    I'm starting to move closer into the amount I lost first time round, I vaguely remember it being in the 35 pound+ amount. I'm finally making progress into the amounts that seemed so out of reach to me last year. Granted, I still fluctuate like everyone else.

    Thinking about it, the sense of reward I'll feel when closer to goal weight, knowing I started from a place that was harder by 42.4 pounds (3 stone) at 259.4 in comparison to my previous highest weight (217 pounds) is rewarding prospect to look forward to rather than feeling so bad about where I could be now instead if I didn't gain so much. I wish I could find photo evidence of my highest weight now and then, but no luck so far.

    Still got some of the bakery items left, but my plan is to still have small chunks through the week if I fancy it. I have no idea on calories, but in the grand scheme of things it isn't something that will derail me long term, so need to remember to be gentle to myself with such food.

    I did just over 20 minutes of weights at home this morning. It's hard to know if it makes any difference and whether I'm doing it right, but will keep at it.

    It's one of my friend's birthday and regular virtual pub quiz on Thursday so may end up having some homemade alcoholic mojitos on a virtual meet. I very rarely drink, I don't think I've had alcohol this year so far, if I have I can't remember.. I can take or leave alcohol to be honest.

    If the weather improves I may be able to get out on my MTB this week, but it's rained a lot recently.

    Have a great week everyone, loving how active and supportive we all are!

    I am impressed you still biked. It would be so easy to brush it off when you got little sleep. What a wonderful Mother’s Day you had!

    @rlaskey2
    Jiggs dinner is salt meat or riblets boiled with cabbage, potatoes, carrots, turnip, potatoes and parsnip. I prefer riblets but we can only get the meat in London. I soak the salt meat and change the water twice but it still causes me to retain lots of water. Another thing I would add to the pot if it was available would be turnip greens.

    Hi all! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Mine was busy and fantastic! The kids and hubby sent me on a scavenger hunt for some gifts spread out around the house, it was fun. They gave me new workout clothes I desperately needed. Today my nieces are here so it should be a fun filled busy day. This is also my son's last week of preschool, graduation is on Wednesday.

    Steps
    5/8 2300
    5/9 2404

    Awesome steps and exercise. Don’t be hard on yourself about meeting your friend. You are working on that area with your therapist so that’s a good thing.

    @TheresaM787
    Great plan for the day!

    @Z10Rtza
    I am with you as I am up almost 5 pounds this morning. For me it is related to the sodium in last nights supper. I was slightly over for the day but I don’t think that was a factor. The scale can fluctuate 5 to 6 pounds a day. It can come down to what and when you eat, drink, exercise and sleep.

    Congrats to @roz0810, @missysave0612 and @rwood566

    Grats to the team for 1st place. I have a bone to pick, though. Last Wednesday @lcfa5317 logged in with an 8 lb loss. Were they overlooked or exempt or did I misread it again?

    I know this is not my department anymore but seen as I entered those weights in the spreadsheet I thought I would reply. Based on previous weeks reported weight, the 8 pounds appears to be a typo. I just rechecked the last few weeks reported weights in the chat. Sorry for any confusion.

    Insight Timer, the meditation app, is having a live event tomorrow at six (I think that is pacific time) about breathing to reduce anxiety. https://insig.ht/e/jWeLjNnh9fb
    I am not sure how the whole thing works if you don't have the app? Maybe the link above?

    I keep forgetting to answer a question you asked awhile back about veggie burgers. For some reason it popped in my head to ask my daughter the other day and I just noticed the note I jotted down. She said the ones they like best are the Hillary’s World best vegetarian burgers. My granddaughter also likes the president choice veggie burger. For a fast food one she really likes the Harvey’s veggie burger. I have had that one and it is really good. Do the have Harvey’s in the states for some reason I think it is a Canadian chain? Hope this helps and sorry it took me so long. I have a terrible memory.
