You should post a current picture of your gym. You have worked so hard on it. I hope your foot is still feeling better today.
@Beautyofdreams
Good job on the weight. I think it would be so amazing to get one of those scans done.
@red1185
I am glad things are starting to feel better. You have been under so much stress and stress affects weight. Hopefully now that things are coming together you will see a downward trend in your weight.
@TheresaM787
You may have some thumbs down but you crushed those steps and the bike. I like to track those days I go over cause it definitely can tell a story. My dietitian tells me that my food diary is the most important data I have in my weight loss journey. Going over was well worth the lovely family day you had.
@iradi8
I hope your mom feels better. It’s such a helpless feeling when a parent is sick.
@rwood566
Great job on those early morning gym sessions.

Lots of steps yesterday. I had fun doing the river clean up with my grandkids. I had to walk near geese which I am terrified of so it lead to the kids having a good laugh at Nan’s expense. We went up and down banks and had to walk back through the park to get back to the car so I gave myself a check for walking. I earned lots of zone minutes yesterday which makes me happy. The kids have been here all weekend. My daughter needed a break, the kids were missing us and us them. It’s been a great weekend. I am pretty tired still so I think I will call today a rest day. We are going to the garden center after we drop the kids off and I want to set my balcony up today. Off to feed the kids.
Have a restful Sunday!5 -
@lindamtuck2018
Look at all of those steps on Friday 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Glad you got some of your physio completed. Please don't poke fun, in my house you constantly hear, "If it's not written down, it's not getting done." My memory is shot. Unless I write it down: be it on paper, or set up a reminder on my phone or my new favorite have Alexa remind me, it doesn't get done.
Lovely to hear that you took your eldest granddaughter to do community service. I love those service projects. Yes, that definitely counts as a walk. I hope you were able to capture the moment in a video or picture. It's nice to reflect every now and then.
Thank you that's a great idea. Yes, I agree with your dietician, the food diary is an extremely important part of this weight loss adventure/journey/lifestyle (I need to settle on just one noun).
@rwood566
Congratulations on you TWO pound loss! That's amazing Roger 🎉🎉🎉
Yes, we just started learning to play D&D a couple of months ago (thank you Stranger Things). My son and I take turns being the Dungeon Master.
Another great exercise day!! Why do some people feel it's fine to litter or that society's rules do not apply to them? I really like the do something nice for a neighbor day.
@rlaskey2
Terrific steps Rachel and taking a nice walk and lunch with your husband 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Sports resumed and so has the busy lives 😆 Yes, I agree. Kids need to get that energy out. I make mine cycle at least three times a week.
@Poobah1972
You and Lynn are putting together a proper gym, forget a home gym, it's a proper gym 🤩 I'm sorry you were feeling grumpy yesterday afternoon, you can always vent here - sometimes it helps just to type it out. I'm glad your foot was feeling a bit better. Hopefully your new knee brace comes today or tomorrow. Amazon?
@Beautyofdreams
Oh Deb that's so good to hear!! I know you were worried about that 🤗 Please take it easy while your graft is healing. I know it isn't easy for you to rest while recuperating.
@lmf1012
Great step count Joni👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@red1185
Congratulations on having only 8 work days left 🎉 I'm glad that you're therapist was able to help and things are better between your roomie/best friend and yourself. That must be tough to have someone in your space, I'm glad you are working through it and found a second outlet with your coworkers. I know it's frustrating when the scale goes up, or doesn't budge 🤗 it WILL go down again. Keep at it, you got this!
@iradi8
Crushing it Sloan!! Amazing step counts👏🏻👏🏻
I'm so very sorry to hear about your mom being in the hospital. I hope she feels better soon 🤗
@roz0810
Keep going, you're doing amazing 🙌🏻🙌🏻
@Z10Rtza
Impressive list of steps!! Way to go 😁😁5 -
Hey guys! Been a stressful week with work but I'm still kicking! Lol
Megan ill report my steps tonight, sorry for the delay!4 -
Good news from Saturday....
The Elliptical is all assembled and ready to be used by Lynn, until I loose another 20lbs which is proving darn near impossible lately. But whatever. 🥴
It's a 300lb monster, that made the entire day a workout putting it together. Lynn and I feel we accomplished much together though, so that's is fantastic!
And here's a little shot of the Dumbbell stand (Can't wait to get a second unit... Doh)
Sunday April 16, 2021
Blood Ketones 1.4
Blood Glucose 101
GKI 4.01
So I um jumped on the scale a day early for a sneak peak... And I'll have to be darn luck not to put on weight for 2 consecutive weeks. Seems insane to me that this would be possible. But whatever. I'm dealing with it. Life goes on...
Fiancé gave me a nice shave, complete with a facial scrub and moisturize treatment. Yes she spoils me, and I love it. A little later I'm getting my hair cut too... So I'll be all sexy fine. lol
In other news.... It's our 16th consecutive Sunday Fast? Getting to the point where that's just a silly number.
I better go pass the vacuum in the exercise room and touch it up a bit... Today the shelving unit is coming out of there.
Happy Sunday All!TheresaM787 wrote: »@Poobah1972

I believe it is in fact closer to a real gym then a home gym. So thank you Theresa. Well the 3xl was a no go, So I still have to order new ones. I know 4xl is available, 5xl not so sure. I guess I'll figure soon.

Since I had COVID my memory is terrible. I am having a mri of my brain on Wednesday. The big joke around here is there even a brain to find. 😂 I think I need Alexa to help me. I got lots of pictures. I actually got one at the moment the goose chased Hayley. Going to post them on my fb so the memory pops up every year.
@littleflutterby
Sorry it’s stressful. Try to find a way to unwind. Hugs!
@Poobah1972
Your gym is looking awesome! Lots of hard work on your guys part to set it up. That scale will move with a big whoosh. Keep doing what you are doing. You are doing so well with your fitness. Do you think you could get your fiancé to come to southern Ontario to cut my hair.

Life feels like it is getting back to normal which and good and bad. Bad because I am out more and are tempered to eat out more and I am getting lazy with cooking and preparing after all the meals I have made. I did buy the protein shake mix that I tried earlier this week so hoping that will be good for when I am feeling lazy.1 -
Not weighing in officially due to my break but I am up 3 lbs. Today, I will start getting back on track and hope that gain will come back off. Overall, I feel less fatigued and mentally refreshed and ready to jump back in. My goals for this week:
1. Check in daily
2. Track accurately
3. Macros P-105/ C-115/ F-40
4. Water 90 oz
5. Row 5x/wk
My thryroid studies have come back as normal which is what was expected. I can't repeat the parathyroid studies until August. Like I said above, the fatigue is little better. I am not sure if it is due to the new medicine that I am taking for menopause or from the diet break.1 -

Thank you for posting about how you walk to the dentist and to get tea. You inspired me to walk to UPS this morning. It's about 1.75 mile roundtrip. Usually, I'd just take the car, not today though. Thank you.
Have you seen the challenge for this week? "Ladder Up: One up yourself every day--- Track your steps, calories or reps of an exercise that challenges you. Each day try to do just a bit more than the day before. Keep raising that personal best!" My plan was to use steps for my ladder up, but today was a personal best of 12,800. The only reason, I was able to get that high was because we didn't have plans today (shocking) and from the following extras:
1- while I was folding laundry, I was stepping from side to side
2- instead of sitting while chatting on the phone with my sister, I was pacing the floors (earned 3,000+ steps, we chatted for almost three hours)
3- walked to UPS (about 3,500 steps)
4- short walk around the block with my hubby (about 2,000 steps)
What are you going to choose?3 -
Just a reminder if I do not have your steps by tomorrow(Monday) evening I will have to zero them out so I can post the results ...I just need a few more of your steps

Thanks to all who commented about my mom. She will be in the hospital for a few days, I think. I'll be going there early in the morning and spending the day.
@Poobah1972
Your gym is looking great! I love that elliptical. Very nice.
@lindamtuck2018
I agree with your dietician. I don't think I could do this without my food diary. I need that information so that I can make good choices (most of the time, lol). I love the time that you spend with your grandkids.
@TheresaM787
Same here. I have to write things down because there is way too much stuff in life to remember it all! Lists are my friend:) I love your motivational quotes:) The challenge sounds good. I'll check it out. Great going getting so many steps by moving so much throughout your day!
@rlaskey2
I agree that it is harder when we're not at home. There are so many smells and sights and temptations.
@azkunk
Great goals. Glad to hear that your fatigue is getting better. I hope that continues.

Hi all just a quickie before I go to bed. All is good- just 2 weeks back at work and already feeling burned out!! Today I was meant to work 930-6, and I offered to stay and help out because it was hella busy. It ended up being a 10 hour day! I don't mind because I'm at over 14000 steps and I'm not even in bed yet haha. Since I was so late getting out, Gael just took me to subway for a sammich.
I didn't have the time or energy to eat lunch today (had a shake for lunch instead of having it as a snack) but on a positive note, I have salad for lunch tomorrow already packed up!!! All I need to do is take my shake with me.
Shorter day tomorrow and then a couple of days off to recouperate. I'm really grateful to be around 80lb down, it really makes a difference- I can move better, I can bend a little easier, and I know that it will improve even more as the pounds go down!!! I told my boss today, after all the running around "I swear, if I don't lose weight this week imma be sooo mad" haha
Anyway, I have to get myself ready for bed. Big hugs all round, hope everyone is staying safe. I will take a gander at the posts soon, when my head is not spinning!

Hello Everyone!!
Finally rested, after what was a long, excellent, but tiring week.
Thank you @azkunk, @Beautyofdreams, @rwood566, @TheresaM787, and @lindamtuck2018 for the thoughtful birthday wishes last week.
@rwood566... It isn't that I minded being asked my age at all. This person is a "cad" for many, many other reasons. Just to name a few... He's a lying, cheating, fool who... Well you get the picture. Anyway, he is just so underserving of my time, lol. However, he knows I know way too much... I'll just leave it there, lmao.
Also, thank you @TheresaM787 and @rwood566 and for noticing my step count and loss last week.😁
Thank you @lindamtuck2018. Your comment about my dedication to my journey is appreciated!! It was at an Anthony Robbins seminar that I heard, "Where your focus goes, your energy flows." I have always believed this to be true, but never put it so succinctly myself. As I have said may times, I don't depend on the fickleness of motivation. It is focus, dedication, discipline, etc. Also, looking great in smaller sizes doesn't hurt...😉😊
@Megan_smartiepants1970. I'm glad you got the rest of your staples out!!
Steps are as follows:
5/14: 6,709
5/15: 8,132
5/16: Will post later tonight😊

Hi all, here for Monday check in.
It feels like I post my weigh in on a Monday and I blink and it's that time again so quickly haha. I've been enjoying reading all the posts over the past week. I can't remember if I managed to dog walk or not last week, I did weights last Monday I know that.
Thankfully pretty much got the bakery items finished with early on in the week last week, there's one item left, but it's heavily marshmallowed which I'm not a big fan of marshmallows so would be pointless wasting calories for the sake of it on something I'm not really hot on.
I've bought and potted more flowers, fruit and veg. Having these things back in my life is giving me joy and something to focus on admist all the uncertainity of life right now.
Food wise, tried a gamechanger of a recipe for pizza dough at the weekend.. a very quick 2 ingredient one! 85g self raising flour, 95g 0% greek yoghurt (I used fat free).
I mixed both ingredients together with a spoon so it formed a ball of dough, flattened them on a tray that I lined with greaseproof paper (used extra flour for dusting to stop sticking when flattening out etc). Spread a tbsp of tomato puree or bbq sauce, sprinkled on dried herbs, chilli flakes, garlic and onion powder, added various veggies and topped with 25g grated mozzarella. I cooked them at 180c fan 15-20 mins.
It certainly satisfys pizza craving to an extent. I've also seen how you can make it a stuffed crust with cheesestrings for it!! Here's some images of mine over the weekend, not yet tried stuffed crust:
You can use any toppings you want!
Also, if you want cake and ice cream, I had a mini icecream pot (comes in a pack of 4 with each being a different flavour) from Aldi and slightly warmed up a fiber one birthday cake bar replica from there and it was decent, much lower in cals.
Here it is:
Aiming to do more walking this week, have a great week everyone!6 -

We had both daughters back this weekend for a friends bridal shower and Mother's Day weekend so it was great to have all 6 of us at the family dinner table last night. Susan took our daughters and both sets of moms out for a ladies brunch while I took the boys out to Top Golf. We had fun but it's been more than 20 years since I swung a golf club that wasn't on a mini-golf / put-put course so it was a little humbling but still fun to get out and about. I've been having some unusual swelling in the right side of my pelvic / midsection area and made the decision to cut back on certain exercises that involve my midsection (including rowing and jogging). Since the earliest I can see my doctor is June 7th, I'm going to need to focus more on healthy eating the next few weeks since I don't expect to be burning as many calories. It seems like there's a few of us in the group with some medical challenges so I hope those affected are on their road to recovery.6
