17th Consecutive Sunday Fast! Booyah!
Happy Sunday everyone... I'll keep this really short this morning.
Turns out there is probably nothing wrong with the Vital Wheat Gluten.... My recipe completely failed again. After some research, I think either my Yeast either went bad 4-5 months old, or there is to much heat and humidity that I need to reduce temp's in the machine (cool water instead of warm).. and possibly use a little less water.. Or a combination of both.
I literally just shaped the loaf before the final rise, and it still doesn't feel right... I fear the worst. I used brand new yeast. A pinch less water. And I started with cooler water this time.
Cross your fingers for us.. As we miss our good bread, it's been about a week and a half we've been dealing with crap bread, and it's just not cutting it.
This bread making gig has gotten frustrating all of a sudden. lol
Other then that, today is a rest day!
Peace out!5 -

We went to NFM, a massive furniture store and spent 5 hours there picking out some new things for the house. Gonna get lots of projects done around here and it feels great. Unfortunately a lot of the stuff we ordered won't come in for a few months because everything is so backed up but it will be ok. Gives us time to get the stuff out that needs to be moved first!4 -

Went for a nice walk but it was so hot. We went out to dinner last highly a couple days early for our anniversary. I watched what I ate all day to be able to enjoy a kid free meal at a nice restaurant. I had the ahi tuna and it was yummy! Spent like crap though probably from the drinks I have oh well.3 -

Maybe an accident? Fairly easy to hit with a thumb when scrolling on a phone.3 -
@rlaskey2
Incredibly high step count 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Happy early anniversary. Mmmm, yummy ahi tuna. It just doesn't seem right that drinks should have so many calories, IT'S A LIQUID 😆
@Tazaria87
Four great ✅s! That sounds like an ENORMOUS store. Glad you were able to find a few things. It's such an exciting time.
@Poobah1972
Congrats on your 17th Fasting Sunday 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I give you a lot of credit for making your own bread. When the pandemic began, we learned how to make our own bread. Ours went stale within two days 🤦🏻♀️ not sure what we did wrong. Bread is finicky. I hope you find out what the variable was.0 -

I was going to echo what @Aqualang26 said. I know when I am scrolling through on the iPad it is so easy to hit the dislike button by mistake. In fact, I quickly went back to your post to make sure it wasn’t me.2 -
@iradi8
It sounds like you at a lot of fun. I love crawfish. It is great you are going to put all your skills you have learned during your journey to handle eating while travelling.
@Poobah1972
Hope your bread turned out well. I have my fingers crossed!
@rlaskey2
Happy Anniversary!

My husband went on a mile walk with me this morning. When we got home, I told him I was going to go out for a longer walk, he suggested (with a smirk) that I walk to the grocery store to buy fresh bread for his breakfast (he has decided not to go on a weight loss journey/adventure/path...). I told him, I'd walk with him to the grocery store (with a smirk). He surprised me by saying, ok. It is about 1.75 miles door to door. He had a terrific walking day, almost 3 miles 👏🏻👏🏻 I hope he decides to keep it up 🤞🏻3
