Weigh In Day: Sunday
PW:179.0

I was hoping for more but a loss is a loss. I post my weekly average following along with what I do with my health coach. The past two days though the scale was 178.0, so I am hoping next week will be a bigger loss. Day 3 streak of 16hr fast and I think it might be making a difference. Weekends are usually tough for me but I have been mostly on track so far. Macros are a little off but calories are good.
I bet it's definitely 178 and your next week average will be impressive!
Congrats on your 16:8 IF window. How are you feeling?
I've definitely found that macros can be trickier to hit on IF because you dont have as many opportunities to tweak them. You might want to consider pre-logging to tweak before you prepare, even if just for a little while to get a better handle on what your macros should look like in only two meals.
I still struggle with hitting my macros every day. It's hard.1 -
@lindamtuck2018 re: heat and humidity: I also live in a turned up steam room like @iradi8 It's lovely and lush but summer's are brutal. The humidity holds the heat in the air so early morning and late night are barely better. Honestly, I've cut walk time down by 75%. Rather than 1.5 walk, we do two 20-minute walks. We do have a pool, so sometimes we get our suits on before walking so we can get in right after and that reward keeps me going longer but I also have to be mindful of the baby overheating. Really, when it's this humid, I should just use the air conditioned gym. Idk if that's an option for you.1

We are still in lockdown. Restrictions are starting to be eased June 14th but itβs along way off before gyms open.2 -

still working on todays!
I really didn't do much movement this week- the HUMIDITY. omg. I also didnt work much this week, which is always a blessing. But then to top it off, I jacked my back pretty bad on friday night so yesterday was a total write off. Feeling a lot better today. Ironically, I think the movement really helped!!! And the naproxen haha.
Alsooooo
I am not logging my food on MFP right now because I signed up for noom, just for a laugh and logging my food there, rather than doing it twice. The app encourages me to weigh in every day and yesterday I made it into the 280's!!! I'd love for it to stay that way on Tuesday for SURE!!!!
I have to go continue my studies before my wife and I have some TV time before bed. She also jacked her back on friday night, weird how we both got saw backs from merely existing! But hers is worse so I'm doing the bending haha.
Hope everyone is well, and staying safe!!!

Today's step count is at 15,729. Not bad when I thought I wouldn't even get 10,000. I drove down to see my daughter at Purdue today. It is about 2 1/2 hour drive each way. She had a rare day off from school. (She is in her 4th year studying to be a Veterinarian) we did manage a small walk while down there so that helped. On a positive note we didnt stop off anywhere to eat fast food like we normally would when driving there. I waited until I got home and fix something here.6

@rwood566
I used to love watching those two shows. They get so technical, love that! Libby (the free library app) has their e-magazines that you can borrow.
@lindamtuck2018
Well done, four for four ππ»ππ» That's a great idea, a walk to Tim Hortons and a nice ride home with Garry. Look at all of your steps even before your walk for tea!
I walk either early (not 5:30 early, closer to 7:00) in the morning or after the sun goes down. It gets really hot and humid around 9AM and stays that way until sunset. @363days mentioned that she walks to step videos, that may be a nice change to get out of the heat. I love the little turtle motivation- I used that on my walk this morning, I started slowing down and then remembered your message "Your speed doesn't matter. Forward is forward." Thank you Linda, that was perfect timingπ€
@Tazaria87
Nice job getting all of those β s ππ»ππ» Of course your beautiful cookies went fast, they were so adorable! It sounds like you had a nice day together.
@Megan_smartiepants1970
Are you kidding me?!? 30,820 steps?!? Not 20,820 - which would be absolutely incredible. THIRTY THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED AND TWENTY STEPS π€£π€©ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Is that a new personal best? Wow!! Sitting stunned over hereπ²ππ»ππ»
@Beautyofdreams
Congratulations on your loss ππ»ππ» fantastic work!
@363days
Congratulations again on being Top 3! ππ»ππ»ππ» Thank you, that helps. What are your favorite step videos? Wow, terrific step day ππ»ππ»! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I can't imagine how challenging this is for you. I'm glad that she has you and the care givers to give her comfort and bring her dog for visits. You are handling this so well, and then to even go as far as to question your food choices before eating. You're a strong woman. π€
@888Angie888
Excellent step day for you tooππ»ππ»
@iradi8
That's so true! I agree, tracking is key. If I don't track, then I lose track. I forget about the scoop of this, smear of that. Congratulations on being Top 3!ππ»ππ»ππ»
@azkunk
Congratulations on your loss! You're doing amazing ππ»ππ» and it looks like you're doing really well with IF (2 for 2-days; woo hoo).
@Z10Rtza and @lmf1012
Way to go with your high steps! You both are doing fantastic ππ»ππ»
@Poobah1972
Whew π glad that it truly was NIB and that you are loving them. It sounds like they truly make a difference π€©
@rlaskey2
Absolutely incredible amount of steps! Happy 8th birthday to your son π It sounds like you had a lovely day. Now that is a terrific idea, sticking to the sushi instead of going for hibachi.
@littleflutterby
You had a great list of steps ππ»ππ» I'm sorry to hear about both your back and your wife's back, that sounds so painful. I hope you have relief soon. Congratulations on entering the 280s!! I'm so happy for you. How are you enjoying Noom? I only did the two week trial. Keep going, you're doing spectacular π€©
@amymartin555
Wow, look at that phenomenal amount of steps - 15,729ππ»ππ»!! Amy, that's a huge jump from 10,000. I'm so happy for you π You showed some serious self control not stopping for fast food, especially on long car trips. Amy, you waited ππ»ππ» until you got home to fix something to eatππ»ππ»
πCongratulations to our Top 3 of the Week π
@BRGking
@iradi8
@363days
ππ»Congratulations to all who have tracked their food, added movement/exercise to their day, chose something healthy, worked to hit their goals, showed up to get healthy ππ»4 -
Bike- 30 minutes, 8 miles π it took an extra two minutes
Steps- 10,000 β
Seltzer- 8 cups π only five cups
Tracked everything ate and drank β
Under calorie budget β
@Megan_smartiepants1970
Bike 32 minutes, 8 miles, moderate effort
Steps 15,100
I went on my longest walk so far, 4.3 miles. I realized that I need to get out earlier, it's getting way too hot to be walking past 9AM. I'm passing out as I'm typing, I had so much to say, but all I can think of typing right now is "nighty night".3 -
@TheresaM787 no ma'am not kidding you .....That is my personal best everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
As for walking dvd's I absolutely love Leslie Sansone... I used those a lot ..I still do when something comes up and we aren't able to get out and walk2 -

How long have you been counting calories for? A few people on the team have done diet breaks. I sort of took one but it was more of a time to reassess my eating while not weighing in officially for 2 weeks.
So I've been maintaining a high activity level since April while in a continuous deficit. I have averaged 4 poor eating days a month. I'm working on that but having snacks for my daughter is a sore point because I like them too. Right now is a huge struggle in my motivation too because my reason for timed weightloss has been canceled and I'm crushed that the July plans I had are dead. So including today I have made poor choices 3 days. I took some initiative however to order groceries that will put me back on track starting tomorrow. I also plan to meal prep lots. I just have to get over the disappointment and stop comforting myself with food.
Today's steps were 12,083 on my new PINGKO clip on pedometer. It gives me less steps than my phones Google fit but I can wear it the full day when I don't always keep my phone on hand. I drank 2 liters of water. I blatantly failed to track today's food although I didn't gorge all crazy tomorrow will be planned in advance.

Thanks for the congrats on the weight loss, guys. I'm not used to seeing my name there, and my head literally popped back when I did. Yesterday was not a good eating day for me. My mom broke her hip two weeks ago and has been in rehab for a week, but she is too weak to do much rehab and we are almost positive she will never go home again. She has a dog that she misses terribly but we are blessed with two wonderful caregivers that are keeping the dog and they will bring it to see her at least once a week. I will probably go by and get the dog on other days, too, to cheer her up. She has dementia and called me at 6:30 this morning to say there were 4 people in her room making fun of her. Her anxiety is up. Yesterday I used food like I used to use alcohol and today I am feeling "hung-over". I am trying to ask the question "Will I feel better the next day if I eat this?" and that has helped with some compulsion but yesterday I just let loose. My mom is 89 and I know this is a necessary stage of life. We all know it is still difficult. It is POURING today so I will get my steps through a video. I hope everyone enjoys their day.
When my father who I am a care taker for broke his wrist and cracked his knee 2 years ago it absolutly emotionally wrecked me for the majority of the bone mending time. I was fortunate I didn't gain a bunch of weight but I relate to what you're going through and if you need to talk my inbox is always open. I felt like because I left a stool where he could use it it was my fault and I worried I'd witness his permanent decline as a result. Luckily I was just worried and stressed out. Reading your post definitely reminds me of that very difficult time. Just know you'll both get through this and you're doing the right thing.4 -

Hi all, here for Monday check in.
It was nice to see the scale this morning. I'm a little dubious on the number for multiple reasons, however, going to definitely take it! With this number, I'm currently 0.6lb away from a total loss so far of 2.5 stone (35lb).
Like I said, I had a bike ride last week, did a 30-40 min walk in alongside any shopping and just general movement! I wanted to do some weights and take dogs out yesterday, but bizarrely I woke up with my shoulder/collarbone being sore so not sure what I did in the night, but it's on the mend and as I was about to head out yesterday evening it started to rain really heavy. Going to try and walk at some point today.
Still enjoying the pizza recipe at the weekend, can't get over how it's only 2 ingredients dough each time.
We've had a heatwave here in the UK last week after pretty much a whole month of rain it felt like. With this weather it has been amazing for my plants alongside adding organic fertiliser in the water.
I unintentionally got sunburnt after mowing front and back grass and my under hour bike ride (not on same day). My shoulders, top of back and probably parts of my arms got me looking like a drumstick lolly sweet. It's going down, but of course being burnt the skin won't likely go back down to it's original colour. Thanks for the suncream reminder
I think it's to be a decent weather week again, on that note, have a great week everyone!
Loving how active our team is in here.6 -

Monday Morning!
You know guys, sometimes you gotta do what's hard to do what's right. It was 18 degree's and muggy this morning at 4:50am. It was hard out there, no two ways about it. I did my 6 laps all the same, and I don't think I set any speed records, it was tough and I was drenched. π¦ π
If you didn't know Monday is my weigh in day, so the course includes getting into the house after my 6 laps, stripping, toweling off and weighing myself. (Yes, I use it all to my advantage MooooahAHAHAHHA). π
But I'll give you the bad new's first... Or maybe it's not? I just don't get it anymore.
Blood Ketones 2.4 (Great)
Blood Glucose 191 mg/dl / 10.6 mmol/L (NOT GOOD AT ALL) π€π«
GKI 4.42 (Good)
No idea what the really high blood sugar means this morning? Can I even trust that reading? I feel fine, energy is good. So, I guess I just keep going, like the energizer bunny? π₯π
And for the good news....
I"M DOWN 5.2 POUNDS THIS MORNING!!! BOOOOoooooyyYYYaaaAAHHHHH! Oh yeah... Oh yeah!!! Go ME!!! π ππͺπ
So that puts me at 404.2.... Only 4.2 pounds away from me having to climb on that Elliptical and see what kind of torture device it truly is? OH yeah, it gets me hot just thinking about it. π π π€£
Have an amazing week Boy and Girls! And remember some days it's just going to be hard, and that's perfectly okay! ππ
P.s. Back and Biceps after work tonight! πͺπ€

Awesome finish to a great weekend spent the whole day at the beach. Best place to be in this heat wave. No real exercise again but will try to squeeze some in today. Scale after the fun weekend not pretty, I guess maybe I was worse than I thought I was but we will see.6 -
