Monday I went to my exercise class.

I've been eating within my calories except for Tuesday. I bought a big bag of Hershey's kisses and had 9! I just haven't had chocolate in quite a while. I've put them away in the pantry and have successfully avoided them for the last 2 days.

Today wasn't an awful day as far as numbers go, but overall was a difficult day.
    Calories: 935
Carbs: 100 (usually try to keep under 100, but I was still hungry and snuck in a string cheese with 1 carb).
Sat fat: 14 - one over
    Cholesterol - 85

I'm needing to see your picture a little closer, Cindy!

Haha. That was from late February (maybe early March) ... but it's more recent than my last picture. It was actually in the low 40s that day and by the end of that weekend most of the snow was gone.

Doctor appointment today. Just a routine exam but I also have a thermal breast exam later in the afternoon - my first one. I wonder what my weight was this time last year? I SHOULD be at a lower number now. We shall see...

Pretty much staying with plan today, but not staying with my 8 hour time-frame. We are having to leave for Bill's appointment and I won't get my last snack. If I don't get it, I will be cranky!

How did your doctor's appointments go, Cindy?

My apppointment went fine, thanks. I've only had this Dr. for a year, so I've only seen her once. She's an Osteopath and the more I interact with her, the more I like her. She's very down to earth and plain spoken. She listens to me and asks questions. We talked about my occasional bouts of insomnia and some autoimmune stuff I'm dealing with (the gluten issues and something new). The thermal exam was strange, new territory for me. I get my results in 1-2 weeks.

Cindy - I used to prefer Osteopaths, but there aren't very many in our area. Praying for good outcomes.

This week has just been wild, and today is going to be wild. I have a dentist appointment. It is just a check-up. They will schedule an extraction/implant, though.

This afternoon Bill has an appointment with the wound care specialist. The Orthopedic Dr and the Wound Care Dr are giving me different treatments and neither are working as well as what I was doing before. AARG.

Anyway, I have stayed on track except Sunday's carbs were a little high.

Praise the Lord my weekend of not eating well didn't do that much damage, still around the same weight from Saturday's weigh in - 238.8.

Connie, so sorry that you are having trouble finding a good solution to Bill's problem. Amazing how two different doctors come up with two different "solutions". Why isn't there one good way to take care of this??? Oh my, hope all goes well with the implant. I've had two and they went pretty smoothly, just took awhile for the post to grow into the bone before they could put the tooth on it. I don't know how those commercials for implants say they can do it in a day - mine took months!

Yesterday was wild! Dentist took far longer than expected because of the plan of action for the implant. Then Bill's wound care appt. ran late. I had decided to do a combination of what both doctors told me. She said we were definitely on the right track, that the amputation would be necessary and to just follow up with the miriad of other doctors. Then we got and one of the girls came by. Whew.

All of that to say, we ordered take out and I was very bad!

Today was a bit low on calories (806), but other numbers were good.

Up two pounds, but am pretty sure that's fluid because I haven't been wearing my compression garments. I have some new wraps coming that allow air flow and hope that they will work well. I'd rather wear those than these hot neoprene wraps.

Going to start my house walking again this afternoon. Am going to try and get 750 steps today and tomorrow and then up it to 1000.

Today wasn't awful, but just too hot for much exercise. I did get some walking in the grocery store.... I guess that's better than being a slug. I had lost to my goal for October, but my cheat day added in a couple of tenths of a pound. At least I am moving the right direction.

    Today:
Calories 899 - too low again, but I ate healthy and plenty
    Carbs 97
    Sat Fats 12
    Cholesterol 80

Eating well. The weight stayed the same. I know, I'm not supposed to be weighing every day, but when it gets up to this weight I need to see each day to hold myself accountable. If I don't know my weight I tend to allow myself some lee-way!

I did get 1996 steps yesterday and did my 750 house walking steps.

Friday was a good day. Ohhh, I made a meatloaf with ground turkey and it turned out great. I don't think the guys even realized it. I am really trying to keep beef out of Bill's diet since it is so hard on him. Tonight I am going to do either tacos or nachos and use ground turkey. We will see how that goes. Oh, and I found out that corn tortillas have very little sodium, where flour ones have bunches. We have been just staying away from tortillas as much as possible, but it isn't necessary at all, just change the type!

Saturday: Ohhh, the turkey tacos were a hit, too. One of the local stores has a great sale on Butterball ground turkey right now, so I think I will get a couple more packages. I also use it in sausage, so I will be using quite a bit and I have a little room in the freezer.

Went out to eat for lunch this afternoon, my SIL was nearby visiting her sister so we met them both half-way. I had some BBQ pork (no bun), some fries, and some coleslaw. I finished the meat but left some of the other stuff on my plate. I drank water too!
