As disheartening as this is, I’ve had quite the challenging time this past month. Am determined to get my health back to the top of my priority list, and am feeling positive.
Hi @jessicakrall8

Friday was productive study-wise... my step count was decent - it helped that my sister's dog (husky) escaped and i walked a few blocks in search (we found her).
Today is the day i take my final exam and see if how well i absorbed the material I've been reviewing/studying. Wish me luck!
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!
@yukie86 Missing steps for the 23rd...thanks!

Happy Sunday from Japan!
I just wanted to share this quote which was on my daily quote calendar at my office desk;
CHOICES we make regarding our physical and mental health today decide our ability to stay active, sharp, present, and strong for tomorrow.
Let's do this everyone! Hope everyone have a great morning/ day/ evening/ or night!2 -

Eek! Currently traveling and there's no scales around here! Last time I weighed in on Friday I was 141.3 lbs is it ok to stick to that? My weigh in day is Sunday.
I suppose I'd need to imagine I'm the same weight til 5th Oct lol 🤣🙈2 -
Saturday, September 25
- Exercise: dance with Deepti
- Water: 3600 ml
- Steps: 10.724 / 7.500
- Vitamins: yes
Good morning team. Had an okay Saturday. I am not sure how many calories I ate, but the scale didn't show a huge difference this morning. I didn't go crazy with pizza and fries, but instead decided to buy some fresh buns. Less unhealthy and cheaper. I wasn't feeling like doing a workout, yet I eventually managed to do one in the evening.
My wintershoes arrived. They aren't anything special, just cheap vegan boots that will work well when it gets colder.

All of us have had struggles over the past few months and few of us are new to this journey...I've been thinking about how many of us fall into the trap of trying to be perfect...doing everything right and then spending most of our time feeling guilty and beating ourselves up over NOT being perfect. Well, there are no perfect people and there is no perfect plan. It took us a long time to put this weight on...it didn't creep up on us and it won't fall off. So, for the next 7-8 weeks, we're going to concentrate, make extra effort, talk about and FEEL GREAT about doing something right...
Week 1, pick one of the following and work on it diligently all week...discuss it with the team...report your struggles...ask questions...announce your victories...one at a time...we'll work through these. We may even have a wildcard week where you can pick one of your own...baby steps and small changes...that's how we'll conquer them...one at a time.
Join me, will you?! (Thanks to my buddy Doug @mulecanter , for the lovely graphic...)

Good morning team. I woke up not feeling too great on Sunday, but the weather was really nice! So without thinking too much about it, I went out for a walk in the national park. Good choice. It was really pretty and I saw woodpeckers, a deer through the trees and my second ever fox. The rest of the day was fairly relaxed.1 -
So, what are you working on for the Captain's Challenge, Week 1?
I'm working on weigh-ins. My goal is to be consistent...weigh in a few times during the week, but NOT obsess over the numbers. I have asked to be moved out of the Support team and my weigh-ins start this Friday again!
Let's hear your choice and why?! Talk to me!

@izzyred9400 Please report in and let us know you're ok Izzy...I think you're back from Greece, but given the earthquake that occurred, I'd like to confirm you're safe!! Please take care!

Weigh-in Day - Monday

Ugh! Suspect water retention is the culprit here. Super salty meal last night. Actually had a great week, finally got back to walking each day and logged every bite. All good - I’m sure the scale will catch up after a few days.3 -
Hey Trimstones ....You have a new member joining you ...Please welcome @shell2is1

For the Captain’s Challenge - Week One I will be working on Calorie Counting. I plan to log every bite that passes my lips for the week. And if it can be weighed/measured, I will be weighing/measuring it. I truly believe that accountability is the key, and I sometimes fall into the trap of trying to “cheat the system” by not being honest about what I’m eating. All that allows me do is to cheat myself. We’ve got this Team - let’s do it!1

@kcpond (welcome back!)
to Team TrimStones! I'm your Captain, Jessica and I'm glad you found us! Take a few minutes and read back through some of the September thread and if you have any questions, just post in the chatroom. The new month begins on Sunday, Oct 3rd and then you will begin posting your weekly weigh ins on the day of week you listed in Registration. Please use the format:
Userid
(Day of Week) Weigh-in
PW: 204 lbs (previous weight)
CW: 202 lbs (current weight)
LTD: 12 lbs (optional loss to date)
If you're a walk/run fanatic, please consider joining our Step Challenge. You can find the step chart just below the main weigh in chart, both of which are off the main Fat2Fit page. If you want to sign up for the step challenge, just post here or send me an private message and let me know your intention, your daily step goal and tell me where your favorite place is to walk. That's it!
When you get a chance, post and tell us a little about who you are, what your goals are and share a little about your successes and struggles. The more you use this group, the more you'll get out of it. We just began a new Captain's Challenge yesterday and you're welcome to jump on that band wagon...instructions are on page 15 of this thread.
Again, welcome! Good luck in October!

** Really low step count over the weekend - I was mainly tied to my PC to take my practice and Final exams which were pretty intense. But they are now done/over with - I passed!
This week planning to re-gain focus and utilize the time I had been studying (in the wee hours of the morning before work) to incorporate some physical activity.
For the Captains challenge week 1: Increase my daily step count (prev 5K) to 6,500

Congratulations on passing your exams!!!2 -
I had a really good day today...knee is still a little sore from my walking excessively on Saturday, but I was trying to finish go mileage goal for the month of Sept and I did! I walked 25 miles of intentional walking this month...did 22 last month and 20 in July...next month, I'll be going for 28...working my way up a little at a time so as not to overwhelm these joints. I also wanted to hit 10k steps on Saturday...LOL nearly hit 11k! Go big or go home, right?!
Got a lot of work stuff done today...kept up with the emails, did some research...productive day.
Hope all of you had productive and good days as well.

@Waifer003 thank you
@jessicakrall8 Way to go on making your 25 miles! I'm hoping to inch my way up to a higher daily step count as well.2 -

Good morning team. Another Monday, another gym day. I started a new training schedule. It was supposed to be next week, but he got the dates mixed up. Not a problem, though I miss my benchpress; I liked that one a lot. New schedule is always brutal and I am sore in a lot of places this morning. Thankfully, this is usually only 1 or 2 times. It's amazing how fast the body adjusts. I was still pretty hungry after I ate all my planned food for the day. Considering I also had the choir in the evening which made my day very long, I decided to eat some more. I was 10 calories under my max, so it just about fit! Super exhausted today. Going to the store a bit later and look for a new battery for my scale because it's low.3 -
Hi TS's...You have another new member joining you..... Please welcome @GSAllumbaugh2

@yukie86 Congrats on completing and slaying your exams!! Doesn't it feel great?!!
@Pupowl You're tearing that gym routine up...great job!! Are you still going through some of the soreness in your muscles or are you past that point?!
I'm working hard today and I have to teach a piano lesson tonight. I purposefully put off eating my first meal of the day (I usually do two meals 10:30 and 5:30), but today since I have to teach tonight, I waiting until Noon and my 2nd meal will be at 6:30. Hoping that extra window will help me stay on track and my dinner is something special (although quite calorically controlled), so hoping I won't cheat. I'm working extra hard this week as I get back to the scale and I'm already down several pounds...want a GREAT weigh in on Friday both for the results but also for my mental uplift. I AM DETERMINED!!!!!!! HEAR ME SCALE DEMONS...you WILL lay down!!
See ya'll later this evening! Man, I'm having the BEST day!
Jessica
