I think it helps keep us sane to be outdoors, hanging our clothes in the sun to dry. It keeps us a little connected with nature.

Hanging clothes can be a temptation to dogs to play tug-of-war with the clothes flapping in the breeze. I hope the great "dane" next door stays inside of his fence so I do not have to worry about clothes being pulled off the line.

Yes for sure Linda, we don’t need the Great Dane playing with clean clothes pulling them off the Line would not be fun! Yes Susan the great outdoors does keeps us Sane.

Well I have a solution for the Dane; Mr Green Jeans dresses up as a Lion and has a Mane wrapped around his neck and Roars at the Dane scaring him and he runs back to his yard! “Clothes safe” 😁

That would be fun to see - Mr. Green Jeans dressed up as a lion scaring the great Dane! I think the Dane might do more than just go back to his yard. I think he would be running down the lane for a long time to get away from the monster he saw.

Oh how frightening for the Great Dane but I am chuckling here at the thought of Mr Green Jeans dressed as a llionchasing the dig down the lane! He would be even more scary if he waved a cane above his head as he was running!

I would be scared if I saw the spectacle of Mr Green Jeans dressed in a lion suit waving a cane above his head! I would be hiding behind a thick door and would not come out until someone offered me an ice-cream "cone" for an incentive.

Hehe 😂 Linda and Susan you have made me Lol! When I started story line with Mr Green Jeans I never thought more words would be born that gave me many chuckles 🤭 I agree I sure would need an incentive like an ice cream Cone to come out of hiding, and I’d still be clutching my cane in hiding too! I don’t think I’d be the Lone person in hiding either!

No, you and Linda wouldn't be alo e in giding from Mr Green Jeans on the rampage as a lion! Lol! Ice cream cones sound like pretty good incentives to come out, though few to none are Lactose and gluten free. Maybe I would be more tempted to come outvof hiding for by a piece of dark chocolate!

Susan - I am sad that you have not been able to eat ice cream because it is not lactose or gluten free. Do you want me to "fone" (phone) the icream manufacturing company and ask them to make you some that you can eat?

Linda, that would be so nice of you to Fone th we ice cream company for me. I like bones too for soup but one of them would not entice me out of hiding like ice cream would! Maybe they could make me a coconut ice cream. Yum! I wouldn't be gone for long if coconut icecream was on the table.

I agree Linda, it’s too bad you can’t eat ice cream due to the lactose. Hope the company can make you some lactose free ice cream! So I think you calling the company is a great idea. Hold on to your hat Susan I think we are going to have some lactose free ice cream for you. It’s a Done deal’

Thank you, Judith and Linda! You are so kind to me to make it possible for me to dine on ice cream.

I would not feel "fine" if you were missing out on your ice cream when we were eating it in front of you.

You are so welcome Susan and I feel the same way as Linda, it would really make me feel uncomfortable eating ice cream in front of you! We all have to be aware of each other’s needs so we don’t leave someone out. It’s good to have a line pad of paper and write down the names of food and other known allergies so when planning a Buffet or a Picnic we will be aware of those who have food allergies. So having said that I will provide a pad of line paper for us to write down our lists!

Judith - I am glad that your do not have any food allergies like Susan and I do have. It is difficult to dine at some restaurants when they put things in their food that causes problems with us. I have to (re) "mind" people sometimes to avoid the restaurants that have my allergens.

Judith, glad that food allergies do not trouble you. Linda, I am the same! Onion is another one of mine. I ordered pizza last night with no onion but still got onion on it. It was a takeaway so I spent time picking it out at home. Ugh.

I love onions but I do not like the bad breath they can cause. We have a "mint" plant that helps freshen my breath when I chew on the leaves.

Mint is nice! I like to trim mint plants regularly as they can grow like weeds.

Yes mint does grow like weeds. We have baby plants in the lawn from where they spread from the flower beds. If I had them in a flower pot, they would spread until the pot was filled to the "brim".

True, Linda! Mint is a runner plant like strawberries are. You are wise to keep it in a pot. Having only mint in the garden would be a bit grim.

I love Mint and it would be grim having Mint all over the garden, good thinking with putting the Mint in a pot! So all this talking about Mint has made me Grin! We all need to Grin 😁 at times!

Mint is such a nice flavour. It makes me smile too. It responds well to moisture so thrives during the rain.

Yes mint is a nice flavor but can be a pain if it gets caught in between my teeth when I chew the leaves and I have a green grin.

The main thing is to be aware of mint tasting so strong. I just put a little finely chopped in things.

Mint can be very strong. There is nothing to "gain" from putting extra in a dish then have it totally cover up the other ingredient flavors.

Yes that’s true Mint can be strong. I so agree Linda nothing to gain with covering up the other flavours in your dish. Yes that’s a Nail in the flavour, we need to use Mint sparingly in some recipes.

What kind of salad are we making? I think Tabouleh has mint in it? There also Parsley, Barley and lemon juice. I can remember off hand but you don't need a pail of mint to make it.
