Hey there @bearchested since you reported in today, I'm going to leave it at the weight you had this morning. Nice loss this week!

@mulecanter I've asked the MODS to EXC you for this past week. If you'll let me know in advance, I'll arrange this before you go, next time. Welcome back!0 -
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group and the app. I really desire to be healthy and weigh less. Looking for support and accountability.

Good day
Someone asked way up in the chat about simple pleasures, and I thought of one today. I was sitting on my patio having dinner and watching the birds have a bath in my small waterfall/ fountain. I absolutely love watching them, it brings me so much joy and peace.
The waterfall/ fountain was a DIY and well…… it looks like one. The birds and the sound of the water make it worth the eye sore. LOL.6 -

@PatriceFitnessPal
I am sorry to hear that you had such a rough week with a lot of loss. I hope you can find your own peace. I don't really know how to get to this point myself. I absorb negativity really easy and I can get really worked up about injustices in the world. Because of this, I have mostly stopped reading the news purely to protect myself. Sometimes reading a headline was enough for me to start crying, so I felt it was better to avoid news sites. I don't want to be completely ignorant either though, so if something big is going on, usually my mom will inform me. I also watch some streamers online and big stuff will come up with them too.
Dementia can be really hard to watch. My grandma had this as well. We weren't super close, but she was nice and I would regularly visit her with my dad. I stopped going at the end because I couldn't handle seeing her anymore; she was just sitting in her chair most days, staring at nothing, not having a clue what was going on around her.3 -
@CasandraW it was me ! I have an even less elaborate water feature in my back yard.A bucket filled with gravel & water.The birds love it though.I did manage to video 2 blackbirds having a bath together a while back.I love watching them too.
I am sorry @PatriceFitnessPal that you've had such a bad few days.It's awful when bad news comes all at once.Expecially a death of someone close to you & your family.
I hope that your son & you can support each other through this sad time.
You sound like you are making an effort to support your community which is fantastic.A good way to turn something negative to positive.2 -
