I hope you consumed 3k calories to fuel all this which I know you didn't.... so: self diagnosis confirmed. You're supposed to take care of our Bella!🀯😘

Don't worry, I'm taking it really slow and only running a daily deficit of about 110 calories (enough to lose 0.1kg per week)...but I admit that yesterday's was a much larger deficit than that!

Geez - I ache all over. Returning to the gym after 10 days off and pushing around the heavy carpet cleaner, I’m pooped. Got to get back to my routine.

Maybe it’s the heat and humidity? Maybe the marginal air quality? The gym hurt this morning πŸ˜₯.

Walked 5 miles yesterday... no idea how long it took. I wasn't watching the clock. Just enjoying the weather and seeing all the people out and about.

Yup definitely the humidity! Makes you swell up and gain five pounds overnight?

    Did another mile walking yesterday.

Then was going to go for a walk today, but pulled something in my back and fell this morning. I may try and do some stretches a bit later, but gonna let the back rest otherwise.

Definitely give your back a rest Athijade! Working through pain is usually not wise.

Things are ok πŸ‘ here in Austin. The tornadoes and floods seem to be going north or south of us. Had an ugly round of thunderstorms overnight but no hail -so the roof is safe.

Today was actually nice - only 92 with lower humidity and blue skies. Thanks for asking!

Are you folks in BC ever having summer? I’ve noticed it’s barely been 60 degrees in Vancouver thus far.

Managed to get through a gentler workout this morning. I restrained myself so I wouldn’t be hobbled with pain for days afterwards.

Sounds like a smart move! I still think you should be tackling the workout as if you were wielding an imaginary instrument of cleanliness! I'm jelly: have a headache, eye twitch, while I continue to stare at a screen while wrist is hurting (I'm multi-tasking ;) ... but there you go.

I've had an OK week....walked 100,000 steps (43.5 miles) and done 12 hours of gardening, but life has been a little stressful as I made the mistake of offering to give my neighbour a lift to his outpatient hospital appointment, which led to the seemingly innocuous offer to also look after his dog for the afternoon...and five days later we still have the dog and our neighbour is still in hospital and expected to be there at least another week....which would be OK except the dog is now on hunger strike and keeps vomiting dark yellow bile all over our cream carpet beause his tummy is so empty. Doesn't matter how thickly I lay down paper...he still manages to find the unpapered bit and vomit in that exact spot. Poor doggo...not his fault but my carpet is now looking seriously worse for wear. Sigh...that's what you get for being a good samaritan!

I have been hitting my 10K steps a day without fail except for my two long car days last week. Even with a low day the last day of May because of the car trip I averaged just a hair under 13k steps a day. I have also been hitting the gym consistently at least 4 days a week to hit the weights (machines) with 50-60 minute workouts, split into Push(chest/shoulder/triceps), Pull (back/biceps) and Legs. I do Abdominal (just one machine) at the end of every single workout.

I've been increasing reps and weights as I can and am definitely stronger than when I started. I have my 6 month follow-up (closer to 7 due to my scheduling) with the dietician and my surgeon tomorrow and I'm hoping/expecting to see that I've at least managed to keep from losing much muscle mass since my last appt in February.

Hey! I sympathise with Bella but I think we need an intervention for doggo. He don't seem to be a happy puppy! :( He thanks you even if he doesn't know enough to do it Bella! :heartbreak:

Yes poor doggo...he doesn't have a bed (neighbour said 'he's fine on the carpet') so he's been sleeping with us in our bed alongside Norman (the two dogs have 80% of the bed space, we cling to the mattress piping) and I'm trying to tempt him with all Norman's treats, but he's clearly missing his dad. He finally ate something last night and he's just eaten his breakfast so I'm hoping we've turned a corner....

Hope the doggy situation is resolved and the pup has gone to his own home.
