Going to the gym is a chore in the summer. It’s better than outdoor exercise when the heat index tops 110 degrees. But the 85% humidity still seeps into air conditioned places. When I went to the gym at 6am it was already 80 degrees and very humid. Air you can wear!!!

Do you guys do pools and such or is it too hot even for that and it would evaporate!🤯

Well that would be all good if I knew how to swim. … We have an outdoor community pool but it’s usually full of kids and probably residual pee. Way hot out there too.

Gym has no pool. Cut rate operation. And since I can’t swim it’s a moot point anyway.

Well then don't they have anti drowning lessons near there somewhere? I hear that dog paddling burns a gazillion calories!!!!🤯😎 Plus scaring the kids is free and very entertaining potentially to you!!!!😎

Just not inspired to take swimming lessons at 76 - and chances of drowning in my bathtub are minimal. I’ll stick with the gym equipment. Scaring kids though does sound like fun! 🤩

Didn’t want to go to the gym today - AGAIN- went anyway. Wasn’t as awful as I feared. And now I need a nap….

    Good for you, Yooly.

Today we are hopefully going to pull the carpet out of the house. It’s not in my name yet but they agreed to let us go in and do that - at least.

Two more of my muscles are going home Saturday. A tremendous amount of work to do and not so many people to do it now.

I feel some exercise coming on!

How’s the roof doing Laurie? Don’t work too hard until you have the legal paperwork!

Gym today after a week off. I feel as old as Methuselah! Everything’s creaky.

I don’t know if it’s the awful humidity or heat but my knees are screaming today after the gym. I didn’t overdo or add anything new. Lots of Tylenol today.

Crap on the knee stuff. They are beyond annoying, aren't they! I even have a friend who hasn't even hit 55 and she's slated for the "double" for later this year and early next.

My knees aren’t bad enough for surgery. It’s just the result of degenerative arthritis- aging. All the parts slowly wearing out! So it’s Tylenol and moderate activity to stay mobile at least for a while 🤷‍♀️

Gym day. And starting the pre-guest house scrubbing. I wish I had a dedicated guest room! The room we use is multifunctional so things need to be rearranged and hauled out to make a comfortable space. And the after the guests leave it all needs to be hauled back from its hiding places.
Kind of takes the luster off company. Especially non-family guests. Family is more understanding I think?

I think non family OUGHT to be more understanding if they're guests. Internal pressure is a different issue! 😘

I’m sure much of the anxiety is caused by my own impossible standards.

Back to the gym at 5:30 am today. Took it slow after two weeks off. It’s amazing how quickly you regress after no exercise. Added a couple of Tylenol to the routine…..

Gym this morning. No arm or upper body work due to both arms sore from vaccines. More Tylenol please. 🙏

I had a procedure Thursday that left me with sutures in my right axilla. PA was adamant no weight lifting, even legs, for a week and nothing heavier than 10lbs upper body for 2 weeks. Since I sprayed her in the face with cyst juice, I decided to be good and listen. Been walking and stretching.

Now, my backpack weighs more than 10lbs, and I carry bags of dirty linen that must weight 30+ lbs, and I push hospital beds, and my incision is fine, but tbf, my upper body work can have me pulling over 100lbs combined with both arms.

I’m going easy on the exercise until the tests are done. Joint pain - induced by unnecessary beta blocker? Orthopedic deterioration? Neuro? Oy! So much to sort out.

And the there’s dealing with the “inconclusive” mammography. In reading the test report I was surprised to see the mammography was reviewed by AI. Wondering if Ms. AI reviewed my past mammography history or just did a single look?

I would NOT trust Ms AI--not quite yet.

In preparation for my coming recovery ❤️‍🩹 - I mopped bathrooms (3!) and about 1800 sq ft of tiled floors. Then vacuumed remaining rooms. Scrubbing kitchen and bathroom fixtures tomorrow. There’s laundry 🧺and fresh sheets to do.
Hopefully I’ll have a peaceful clean house for Christmas 🎄 and recuperating. Hubby can’t be trusted to house clean without nagging! I see much nagging in his future…..

Yes - Monday morning at 10. It’s outpatient surgery. I should know more when it’s done.

They're not even keeping you for the night!?!?! So TWO people I know are having surgery on Monday! (one's a cataract; but young for cataract) Well glad to see everyone moving swiftly!

So... you should be ready for turkey cooking by turkey cooking day? Or are you thinking ham for something easier to prepare? Or maybe even thinking of taking it easy... and going out for dinner instead??!?!?!?! We all know that I've microwaved AT LEAST ONE Christmas dinner!!!!

Well it’s a lumpectomy not a full mastectomy so yeah - a little slicing and dicing and off you go.

Christmas Eve there will be the traditional Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes. Always a challenge to find 7 fishy things everyone likes. We count shrimp, scallops and calamari as fish.

Christmas Day I’m not sure. We usually pick a theme. We’ve had over the years Hannukah dinners, southern fried specialties, Eastern European recipes, Mexican moles, Texas bbq, Hawaiian meals. Maybe this year cruise ship buffet specials? Asian? Greek?? Definitely no going out because you need leftovers!

I should be feeling fairly well by Christmas. Probably won’t get into the chemo/radiation until after new year. In any event, I won’t be doing the cooking. Hubby and son love to plan and cook so it’s their show. I’m done after the cookie baking extravaganza.

Looks like I'm the proud owner of a 6.9kg (15.2lb) "free" turkey! (With purchase of sufficient cans of caramel popcorn they I'm planning to give away as gifts--less shrinkage!) I think I've found a volunteer cook!!!!😂😂😂😂
