... How much coffee do you think is too much?I've gone from 1-2 cups a day to 3- 4 to keep some of my "hunger" away and I've been feeling a little guilty.

Guilty, how? I have three cups a day and they are three of my most enjoyed moments! It does help stave off hunger for me, too (as does drinking water). I don't have any late in the day or in the evening as I don't want it to affect my sleep.

@brandi_84 I don't think 3-4 is too much, I know people who drink pots! 😯 I definitely drink 2 in the morning, my third in the afternoon is hit or miss. I find I drink more when I'm at my daughter's, and definitely more when I have a long day of meetings in the office. I think you are fine.

And I definitely stock up on PS k-cups. I do like other flavors too but PS is my favorite. I have to grab some gingerbread when I see it cuz that goes quick!!

I am sitting here, feeling a little sorry for myself. I have logged my food and stayed under for four days in a row and I have gained two pounds. Correction, the scale reads two pounds heavier; I haven't gained two pounds of fat. I was told I have a slight tear in my meniscus early in the week. When I googled it, I learned that most tears heal up in about three months. I am now starting my sixth month. So, physiotherapy and probably surgery are in my near future. Normally the "feeling sorry for myself" phase leads to bingeing. (I don't think bingeing is a word, because my computer underlines it all the time, but it definitely should be!) Thankfully I don't feel like doing that. I feel like doing nothing, except moping. I have file folders to make for the next fiscal year at work, so at least I can mope and complete a mindless task at my dining room table at the same time!

I guess because it is out if my norm it feels a little indulgent and how much I look forward to it. But just a few months ago I was drinking several sodas without even thinking about it.

Do you have an appointment for a specialist or phsyical therapist yet?

Not yet. I was researching physiotherapists last night. I want to go to a different one for this knee, because I weigh so much more than I did last time and if I were that therapist I would be judging me six ways to Sunday! And because I am so big now, I think I want a woman instead of the young guy.

@brandi_84 amazing isn't it? Cut yourself some slack on the coffee. 🙂

@HASWLRS you're right, bingeing should be a word. You're also right in that you didn't gain two pounds of fat overnight, but it's amazing how our brain is conditioned to think that way. If I could go back and raise my daughter with the awareness that I have now. 😔 Although she was always able to eat piles of nachos, pizza rolls and cheese fries and still be thin. Not sure where she got that gene because I was always chubby, even back in kindergarten. 😕

I digress 😂 I hope you find a therapist that you can work with successfully.

Also,, am jealous of your new sunroom! We are looking at houses down in Virginia and I always swoon when a house has one.

I was thinking the same thing, regarding soda (or pop as we say here) vs. coffee. @brandi_84 Three or four coffees, providing you aren't scooping heaps of sugar into each one, is waaay better than a few sodas each day!

Thank you, ladies. Yesterday turned out to be a good day, in spite of my earlier mood. Got almost half way done my file folders, went for an uncomfortable 30 minute walk, talked to a guy about a TV for our new sun room, had a nice bath, and had healthy Subway for supper when my husband first suggested pizza. And the scales cooperated this morning. Down those two pounds!

@murdog3t I actually forgot how to post a link, that is why I suggested you just do some scrolling. But it came back to me.

November Daily Weighing and Logging thread

@HASWLRS this cracked me up! I'm with you all the way. I can paste links and upload pictures from my computer but not from my phone. 🙃

Therefore you will have to wait until Monday to see today's pictures, but I have to share that not only did I finish, I came in second 🥈 for my age group! I received TWO medals. 😂

Well, I got into the chips last night, so I am up half a pound on the scales this morning, which is to be expected. But every time I decide to throw my calorie budget out the window and eat chips in the evening, I forget how it affects my sleep. I ALWAYS have a restless sleep and wake up in the middle of the night, very thirsty, and have a hard time falling back to sleep. A good night's sleep is WAY more desirable than some stupid chips....so why do I always forget that part of the equation??

Sometimes I would eat something even thinking about how I wasn't going to feel good after eating but I still would indulge. Its weird how we do things like that to ourselves.

Yeah, I have been known to do that with cheese. Too much makes me feel yucky, but I would chow down on the biggest chunk ever!! Why oh why??

@DaffyGirl88 You and your daughter look great! It looks like it was a beautiful day, too. The big 3-D donut was pretty good....I guess they were worthy of first place in the costume category. Did you place second in your age group as well?

I had a good day yesterday, and the scales rewarded me this morning with a two pound loss! What a great way to start a Monday! Hope you are all having a great start to your Monday as well!! Let's make this a really good week!!

Our hot tub just got delivered. Of course it is wrapped up and sitting in the garage (and it will be for a while), but it's here!

@HASWLRS I did place second. :) There were 4 of us in the over 60 crowd so I beat 2 of them. I was worried that my detour to the water / munchkin (aka Timbit) stop may have kept me out of first but no, she beat me by about 6 minutes. You can tell, she looks like a runner. LOL

It was a beautiful day after the race, it made it up to 78 degrees. During the race it was hovering around 38 so I'm wearing 4 layers in that photo. :D
