Holy moly there's some great stuff in this thread!

I just had to stop by and say I FINALLY got my hands on some Talenti and it did not disappoint! I tried the Sea Salt Caramel and the Caramel Cookie Crunch.

The Sea Salt Caramel was by far, the favorite between my husband and I! The Cookie Crunch was pretty good too, but not a repeater in my book. Which is okay, because they are friggin' expensive!! I blame you all for turning me to the dark side.

I felt the same way about the Cookie Crunch. Welcome to the dark side. :)

Talenti's Cookie Crunch just sounds like it should be so much better than it is...

The pyramid would have been better if I had cleaned off the counter first but oh well.

Yesterday was the Chocolate Truffle w/White chocolate peppermint - the cookie was soft inside, the outside had just enough crunch.. perfect balance with the peppermint which didn't have the medicine type peppermint flavor that I tasted in Talenti's peppermint.

Also had the Buttercup Pumpkin w/Amaretti cookies - my new favorite pumpkin flavor... super creamy subtle pumpkin mixed well with the amaretti cookies YUM!!

Haven't decided what I'm trying today

My wife swears by the Talenti, and she's not nearly the ice cream lover I am. Yet, for me, it's failed to live up to the hype. It's definitely good, but I don't get the endless raves from the two flavors I've tried so far, which are salted caramel and vanilla.

My wife really wants to try the pumpkin pie flavor, which we've not found yet, but I'm hoping it gets me on the Talenti bandwagon.

I hate to admit it, but I have been TOTALLY slacking lately.

However, today I picked up some Blue Bunny Caramel Fudge Brownie Sundae Ice cream... and YES! I love it. Caramel, Chocolate, Fudge Brownie chunks... everything I love and only 150 calories per serving.

    Try the Southern Butter Pecan.

You sir have received a strike!!! You're on thin ice.

Does the fact that the cookie butter cheesecake landed across the front door 20 minutes ago get me out of the doghouse?

In my world where Caramel anything is king, absolutely not. >:)

Caramel anything IS king. Truer words have never been spoken.

Perhaps I'll give the salted caramel Talenti another go...

Since we live in the same city, which place?

I use to go for long walks and end up all up and down there. I'm surprised I haven't seen Ample Hills yet.

Will be making a stop. I'm a big rice krispies fan (though the homemade is much better than the prepackaged kind), so good up on the marshmallow pop flavor. Thanks sir.

I get what you're saying about the caramel. We were on vacation a month ago and stopped by a place that had pretty incredible ice cream. But the caramel was way over salted.

Tonight: Dannon Oikos Frozen Yogurt. Well, it basically tastes like chocolate plastic. :( The strawberry one is decent, but this is definitely not a repeat purchase.

I've had the blueberry one a while back and remember it being pretty good, have you tried that one?

I had Wegman's Banan-a Peel'n ice cream last night and it was the best banana base ice cream I've ever had, I highly recommend it. On tap tonight is Wegman's Nutter Batter, pretty pumped to try this as I'm a huge PB junkie.

I don't even know what to say.

Did you get a response from Olivia or did your posts just come back? If the latter, it makes me wonder if whoever suggested that once you get a certain number of flags you're hidden for awhile was onto something.

I did send PMs to a couple people. Lemon got back to me that he would look into it but he didn't yet. I don't know if the number of flags is what does that but Prizepopple has much less than I do and she is still banned. Honestly I don't get why they wouldn't let people know that happened. I know of 2 other people it happened to. 1 of them was weeks ago and that person is still gone. I see that user post from time to time but the posts are invisible. The member doesn't know they are invisible obviously. Another person I've seen invisible for at least a week because they post from time to time.

    Craziness.

To me it seems completely ridiculous (and obviously so) to change the rules and then not be clear about the new procedure. I said the same thing to Olivia about people now being banned from groups as well as the main forums. At the very least they should have officially announced that from the outset. The only reason I knew about it was because it was discussed in Beta testing.

    Alrighty.

Picked up the Talenti southern butter pecan and paired it with the TJ cookie butter cheesecake. As you can imagine, they paired very well.

Talenti - Tasty, as usual. My wife raved about it, despite the fact that she typically hates butter pecan. Again, very good, but yet again, I still am left with the "but what's the big deal" feeling afterward. I'm thinking Talenti and I just aren't made for each other.

Cookie Butter Cheesecake - My wife took to this like I do the Talenti; she thought it was very good, but no big deal. Initially I felt similarly. Until...this morning. Decided to cut a slice, cold. Oh. My. Damn. I must've had about 800-1000 delicious calories worth of cheesecake this morning, and I'm not typically a breakfast eater. Cold this is one of the best cheesecake experiences I've ever had. I topped it with some knock-off cool whip, a few peanuts, and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Unbelievable.

I get you on the Talenti. I don't feel that way about Talenti, obviously, but I do feel that way about Graeter's and most of the time B&J (with a couple of notable exceptions).

So update on this weekend's Jeni's, I didn't have much because we ate all kinds of other things. My husband was on cooking duty which meant he ordered most of it.

But did try the Sweet corn & Black Raspberries - my initial thought is not for me, kind of tasted like creamed sweet corn and the swirl was too sweet. Now my husband says its really good but we've established he has no taste. I will taste it again now that I'm feeling better maybe it was that.

The brown butter almond brittle now that one I loved. Creamy subtle brown butter taste with lots of mix ins.

Think tonight I'm going to try the Triumph which is absinthe ice cream w/meringue kisses and bitter orange candy. That's always subject to change
