How pretty! And delicious I'm sure! The bakery has been putting out some really lovely looking cupcakes recently and I'm getting more and more tempted every time I shop.

Amber, I almost messaged you while I was on the road so I could come raid your kitchen!

I'm afraid of how big my pictures are going to be, but I made a big fat pig of myself in FL last week. I think my self control took a hike, along with my ability to sleep. In 6 days I ate a quart (?) of Publix espresso chip frozen yogurt (freaking delicious!), a pint each of Talenti Toasted Almond (reminded me of Good Humor bars without the topping) and Belgian Milk chocolate (one of my faves), 3 mini Blizzards (2 French silk, one chocolate caramel truffle), several snickerdoodles, a scoop of Hershey's Moose Tracks when we stopped at JR's in NC, mystery peeps, a Greek cannoli and plain kok (long o sound) from Hellas in Tarpon Springs, and these...

Italian cannoli and Mickey pasta from Hellas
    IMAG1479-1_zpsiwh6gbph.jpg

Happy Birthday "Dorthy"! At least it was pretty, and delicious...chocolate cake with buttercream frosting from Publix
    IMAG1499_zps3uum87ea.jpg

Peanut butter chocolate brownie cupcake from Sugar Darlings which was good, but a little too heavy on the icing
    IMAG1497-1_zpsyfewysjv.jpg

There's my confession, and now I'm tightening it up, because my pants are tight. Couldn't guess why! In my freezer I have Talenti Coffee Toffee, which I didn't like as much as the Tiramisu, and Raspberry Cheesecake, which I haven't opened yet. I had to get another Hazelnut Chocolate Chip, because LOVE, and I'm gonna stock up on the Tiramisu, too. Only one serving at a time, though! Sheesh.

If we had left early to go home like we had planned, I would have messaged you to see if you were around, but a neighbor came over to see my friend's mom and stayed til after 2 am. I didn't realize how close to FL we were when we left Savannah. My geography skills are lacking.

All the food sounds & looks amazing. Giant has their gelato on sale this week for $3.99. I've never tried their brand, but if I can't find the Talenti Raspberry Cheesecake I'll get their brand.

So instead of "Dorthy" was it supposed to be "Dorothy"? There's a website that posts cake decorating grammar fails.

That cupcake looks awesome Rachel and all the treats sound amazing. Did you have good seafood too while in FL? Glad you had a great vacation!

Yeah, it was supposed to be to Dorothy, my bff's mom. We got a good laugh. Do you mean Cake Wrecks? I just saw a really good one the other day, I can't remember where I saw it. I can't even remember the first part, but then it said "Just kidding, don't write that." We mainly ate at the house, and I got chicken souvlaki at Hellas. In Savannah I almost got a salmon dish at The Shrimp Factory, but went for the cajun chicken alfredo, which was really good. I don't normally order pasta. I way overtreated myself, but I'm back on plan now.

I saw this, and thought @Cortelli would like it. From ohbiteit.com.

No, it had a lot of writing on it, and then that sentence about not really writing it. I probably saw it on Facebook, I can't even find it in a search. Here's one to add, though. I wonder if people do these things just to get publicity!

Ummmm . . . so I just spent some time (way too long) at that link looking at all the pictures and reading the recipe . . . I think I need to try and make this - soon - even though I am not a baker. Maybe this weekend if I am not feeling too lazy. The idea of whiskey, apples, brown sugar, struesel, glazed all together, hot out of the oven. Thank you, thank you for this link!
