Welcome! You won't get any judgement here, we welcome pictures and treats like this, as long as you don't post how great Arctic Zero ice cream is...

This was my breakfast today after yoga. I was going to order red velvet but they were out so I ordered chocolate fudge cake instead.

I stopped by the farmer's market on my way to work today and at the French bakery there they had these little babies:

    4928e0a9-ddd0-4944-afcb-4608ef916acc_zpsd2f6739d.jpg

Salted Caramel Macarons, y'all. They are wonderful. Or were...they are gone now. The bakery has all sorts of macarons all the time, including Key Lime, which is my 2nd favourite, but they only seem to make the Salted Caramel now and then. And when they do, I'm over there like a dog to a dumpster.

Wow those look amazing & so does the crazy brownies.

Thank you and you are 100% correct, the frosting was amazing.

His birthday was Saturday and my niece/goddaughter has hers today which we celebrated yesterday. I got her this cake. It was vanilla cake and bavarian cream layers with fruit topping. The first cake still had the plastic wrapping around it, the 2nd doesn't. I'm mad I didn't take a picture after she took the happy birthday sign off.

I was afraid when I first looked at the picture that it was going to be one of those watermelon cakes, but then I remembered what forum we were in and who was posting and I was like, "whew - just a delicious cake with real icing that happens to have some fruit on it as well".

I'm going to be 30. When my grandmother turned 30 she locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out. I seriously doubt it's going to be that big of a deal for me.

I was at my first Cure concert, 2 days before my 30th birthday, almost in tears thinking about turning 30. Then the girl next to me told me I looked younger than my husband, who was 5 years younger than me, and made it all better.

Husband's birthday is Thursday. He wants a cookie cake. I will probably make one, so the kids can decorate it. Anybody got any good recipes or variations on cookie cakes? Needs to be pretty quick and simple since I have to work and won't have a lot of time for baking before then. Truth be told, I will probably end up getting a tub of store bought dough and just press it into a pan, but if someone does have some fun ideas I might consider something more ambitious...

While I consider store bought cookie dough to be an abomination.....I saw this on the MS show: http://www.marthastewart.com/856492/chocolate-chip-cookie-icebox-cake

it could be a fun take on a cookie cake with your kids, it would seem to have a pretty good margin of error.

I'm the last person that should comment on baking but lately there have been 3 things I've wanting to put together:

    Caramel
    Macadamia Nut
    Milk Chocolate

That would be my fantasy cookie right now.

What about brownie? I saw that Nestle makes a caramel chocolate chip now...maybe just get a box brownie mix (Ghiradelli), add in the caramel chips and macadamia nuts?
