Hey Marti! Gonna have to try the vodka and Fresca. I have been drining vodka with Ocen Spray diet sparking blueberry/pomegranate juice! It saves right much on the calories!.:drinker:

Thank you, everyone! I got some more snow for my birthday, but not a snow day:ohwell:
Last night I went to a dog training as part of volunteering for the shelter, it was interesting but 4 hours! I was starving, so I had a bloody mary while I fixed dinner, then a tequila and sprite after dinner while I went over my taxes to learn I owe almost $3k:sad:
    happy birthday to me...

Alright, I'm locking up the food department and eating more fruits, veggies, lots of water, not as many carbs from bread and Saturday is the ONLY cheat day. I figure this leaves wiggle room for booze during the week, however if it seems that even with locking the food part up and keep calories under control and it's still not showing on the scale, then unfortunately booze will only happen on the weekends.

Tuesdays are rough. DH always has a really sh1tty day on Tuesday and he gets home all depressed and mopey and miserable. I don't handle that well so it was a whole bottle of white wine last night. Well at least I am still avoiding the hard stuff. Tonight will be better.

    Wednesday, hoping for a zero

I'm in 2 contests that weigh in on Wednesday and Friday....Friday, I work 3 to 11---so, we will see what happens. Oh, I started taking some Lunesta at night to help with falling asleep. That has also prevented me from drinking at night. I'll be switching to Ambien and I'll see if that works as well.

Sounds like everyone is plugging along.

0 for me since the superbowl. I'm ready to see the scale move a little (in the right direction) so we shall see how dedicated I can be.

Going to be good today and tomorrow in hopes for another loss on the scale Friday

I've come up with a way to really stop myself from just pouring glass after glass of wine. When you think one bottle it doesn't seem that bad but when you realize that is 5.5 glasses and visualize that, it's a lot :indifferent: So, I'm going to visualize that and cut back and even though I said drinks will be my "cheat" during the week, I'm going to try and just keep it to Friday and Saturdays from here on out.

Oh absolutely a True Story Amy!!! I have big ol' favorite one...which is about a 16oz glass and it needs to be filled by atleast 12oz or it doesn't look like enough wine and alittle silly  ...on the other hand my 8oz glasses, when filled too high make me feel like a lush so I 1/2 fill those

Me too!!! And all this talk about my wine glasses is pushing me towards them tonight (the big one)
It is snowing out right now and I think I will make my husband go for a walk to the store with me. There isn't supposed to be much accumulation, I'm actually exciting to walking in it!!!!!

Well, I am not contributing to the self control of this thread. Went to dinner, it was awesome, split a bottle of wine and a brownie with caramel ice cream for dessert, then went around the corner for a beer.
tonight I am hosting Dexter watching and made chicken tortilla soup, my calories are looking low for the day, so I think I will probably have some beer.
I think I figured out why my tax situation changed from a refund last year, to owing this year and it was because of my withholding, I claimed to be single in 2010 even though I wasn't, I just didn't change it on my withholding, but that was better for me, because I changed it to married in 2011 and they didn't withhold enough so now I owe.

Amy, that sounds like a superb dessert, hope you had a great birthday.

I'm on day 8 of no drinks, it's been pretty easy so far as I've not been feeling great so haven't wanted to eat much either. Although I'm having a pretty stressful time at work at the moment, I got interviewed by a team of outside consultants today who are looking at cost improvements and efficiencies so this is where the future of my job is coming in to question. I just want to know what's going to be happening for definite as it's been uncertain since last August. Normally I'd be using this as justification for a mid-week glass of wine (or 2) but not today  That first glass of wine in a few weeks time sure will taste good though :drinker:
