Weight July 30, 2013: 93.7 kg (206.5 lbs)
Weight August 6, 2013: 95.3 kg (210 lbs)
Weight August 13, 2013: 93.9 kg (207 lbs)
Vacation has come and gone. I logged NOTHING in London. I ate well, but I didn't log. I ate pie, because, as I found out, nothing beats a good British pie. I ate macrons (2 of them) because I'm tired of seeing them make them on masterchef and not knowing how they taste. I ate Pakistani, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, British, Irish and other unidentifyable ethnicities. Seriously, yum. Except the Scottish egg, that was just strange
I also did bw exercises in our apartment, and did probably around 20-30 km daily on foot.
Did I mention I had a BLAST and wasn't too worried about weight loss for this ONE week? I didn't eat like a PIG, but i enjoyed things i haven't since my weight loss started in january. Yes, 42 kg later, Gregg had a dessert (actually a few) that didn't contain the words "low-fat", "diet" or "sugar-free" in them. Trick is, only having ONE (or half, since i shared a few with my partner instead of eating all the calories alone hehe), and then getting my butt moving afterwards.
It seems I lost most of last week's gain, so that's a plus.
But I'm back now logging my food, dying to hit the gym and squat my butt off
No photo update this week. It's plain laziness, will have photos next Tuesday.0 -

Totally. I am glad you had fun.
Can you give us an update at your 2nd scheduled weigh in from now (1 - 2 weeks) so we can assess with your weight settled a bit after your vacation.0 -

Will do Sara - it'll also give me a chance to recover from the little flu I got when I got home0 -

So here we go:
Weight August 13, 2013: 93.9 kg (207 lbs)
Weight August 27, 2013: 93.0 kg (205 lbs)
Last week I weighed in at 93.1, so I've only gone down 100 g.
Last week I had a mini-pause with lifting, because ArroganceInStep who put together my lifting program was getting me ready for heavy triples (YAY!), which I started yesterday (squats, I failed. felt pi**ed off about it the rest of the day and I'm worried about BP day today *sigh*).
Diet - could be better. I tend to err on the low side of the calorie scale by a couple 100. It's easiest during the week when I'm in my "routine". But all in all it hasn't been terrible either.
As far as visible changes... not sure I see any. Lighting was off today (summer's going bye-bye - ick), so you can't see the bicep you could last time
Is it me or am I starting to look scrawny? When do I get pecs? :laugh:0 -
definitely a difference from last time, your ribs are showing, and you have a smooth line at the top of your shorts, nothing bulging! great going0

I agree that there is a difference The thing now is that you are getting to the point where the "difference" is hard to pinpoint to specific areas....more like you just look smaller, more compact if you will  But yeah, everything is looking smoother and much more lean
Great work sir!0 -

If you want to be big, you'll probably need to cycle through bulk and cut cycles. I have a feeling Sara and Patrick can help you with when that would be appropriate, but I think they still want you on a cut for now.
It's a process, and you're doing great. It's a long journey, and getting to where you want is step z. Right now, you're at step f or g. You've made progress, but you are still early in the process. Don't get discouraged because you don't have the six pack or pecks that rival bodybuilders. It's coming, but you can't rush it.
Keep going, you're doing great!!0 -

Nice job! You can really see a difference. As someone said you won't gain mass but as your bf% goes down your muscles will look more defined.0

Bumping, hoping SS and Sara notice I've updated...0

Lawdy, I am glad you did not write my routine, I would be a whiny bish (more of one than I am now) on that You do realize that the poor guy is cutting?
Serious question...is the weight on the bar for the main compounds being reset downwards?0 -

In my opinion there's a potential issue in that this amount of volume is going to require him to reduce loading significantly on those 10x10 weeks. Generally that's not a good idea during a caloric deficit, IMO.
Given this situation I would either choose a lower volume training program or I'd bring calories up. And the problem with bringing calories up is that it doesn't jive well with the goal of fat loss.0 -
Leave intake as is for the next week please.
Please make strong efforts this week to track as accurately as possible and update us in 1 week.0 -
I'm gonna let ArroganceInStep respond about the program, and just say that I'll give an update in a week as usual.
Sara: "reset downwards"?0 -

Sara: "reset downwards"?
She's referring to this: the weight on the bar that you would use for 10x10 will have to be much lower than the weight you were previously using for your work sets.0 -
Oh ok. For squats and DL it's 50% of the heavy triples he had me do this past week. The incline presses are new, and I think the idea is to get my upper body strength to match my lower, also to help my shoulder, which he's got me doing accessories to help. My heavy triple BP was 2x90 kg, with a 5x5 at 700
