    Unlike some of our braver walkers I'm glad that I did not walk in the rain storm that we unexpectedly had this morning :laugh: .

    I am so sorry about my recent absence, there has been a lot going on here. Thank you for the nudge Alex!

    I have just spent a very enjoyable half an hour catching up with everyone's progress over the last week or so, you are all inspirational to me. I promise not to go missing without explanation again. xxx

    I made my goal for the month!!!! Yeah!!!

    I think I got in 175 last month so was trying to break my record! Am trying hard to get to 200 miles this month!!! so close!

    Good morning friends! I completed 4 miles this morning. I had to cut my walk short since my grandson was being dropped off earlier than usual today. Have a great day and walk,walk, walk.

    Hi I have been doing Leslie's dvds for a few years now, and I love them, every now and again I do something else, but I always come back to Leslie. At the moment I am doing 3 miles for 4 days and 4 miles one day, with a half an hour jog/walk in the afternoons, just to try and sift my holiday 4lb gain. I love her energy and all her walkers aren't super thin, just like us human :wink:

    Anyway I am glad more people are joining this group as it was quite for a while.:smile:

    AnnofB, you walked 17 days of 25 possible and made 53 miles, although you had a lot of commitments. That's terrific :happy:. In the end, showing up is what is important. If you show up, you will loose weight in the long run. That's inevitable.

    Before I head out to mow just wanted to check in and thank you all for keeping me on task.

    Track walking this morning for 6.5 miles- love Endomondo!!

    87.5 miles now I must mow for more miles yeah!! Thanking God for another great day!

    today: 8 miles
    total to date: 180 miles

    3 more days with 0.6 miles per day and I've reached my goal. I am noticing that walking is slowly becoming a habit. Not the first mile, it is always difficult, but as soon as my legs fall into rhythm which happens after about 0.6 miles, they become self going , I just have to lean back and enjoy the ride :laugh:

    PinkyPan1, the smell of summer rain always makes me smile and I don't care who sees me enjoying it. I'm happy to have found a soul sister. It is certainly not silly to hope for more, my vegetable patch needs it.

    LouAnn, Wow, just wow. Your updates motivate and inspire, as soon as I am stronger I hope to emulate your consistency and love of walking.

    StarterGal, I haven't heard that song for years thank you, it's going around in my head now and making me happy. I must find it and put it on my ipod.

    zichab, I'm sure that you'll make the 60. Safe travelling and have a wonderful time with your new grand daughter. Oh, I looked further down and you zoomed past the 60, way to go!

    AnnofB, Thank you for the encouragement and for introducing me to Debbie Rocker, I'm on the lookout for a dvd of hers now. We do seem to be a determined bunch this month, the determination is infectious.

    I am determined to make the goal of 110 this month and like you Alex I have a plan of action.

    I feel as if everyone of you have been with me as I walk, or have nudged me when I didn't feel up to it.

    Let's keep it going the month is not over yet we are all in the home stretch.
