Sorry that is has been a while since posting. I have been fighting injuries with my ankle and my knees (my left one was swollen for no reason and my right one, the ligament that is suppose to control your knee cap movement doesn't control mine anymore so I have to be careful), so I took it easy last week so I can move full speed ahead this week.
Miles last week: 2.34

Programmed rest day. Spent the day washing bikes and cleaning gear so I can get back at it tomorrow. Here are my four babies. From smallest tires to largest going from far to near, my Focus, Trek, Kona Tanuki and my newest, Kona Wu. I really love that fat tire bike.

Like your bikes! I am looking at a Trek entry level road bike. But not sure if I want to go there yet. I like your fat tire bike too!0 -

The fat tire bike doesn't handle for beans on the pavement, but get it off road and it's a lot of fun. Mud, snow, gravel, sand and dirt, it does them all well. No shocks but run the tires low pressure, around 10 - 15 psi and it doesn't need them. The tires at that pressure conform to rocks, stumps and sticks and it crawls right over them. Because it has a larger footprint, it doesn't slide in the dirt like most mountain bikes do. It likes to stay upright in the mud too. It's a kick in the pants to ride. :bigsmile:0 -

21.4 miles added today (20.3 on the bike, 1 mile run, and .1 mile walk).
Also, met with a trainer at my gym to discuss the knee pain I get when I do squats. Turns out, it's because all my muscles are just TOO TIGHT (lower back, hamstrings, calves, hips, etc). So, I came away with several new lower back exercises to do, plus an Rx for foam rolling EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And I've also been told not to do squats until I make some progress on getting my muscles to loosen up and behave better. ha. I'm feeling optimistic that this can get fixed.

CONGRATS on making GOAL now going to ..... ANGELMO8!!!! :drinker::drinker:
I managed to get 4.1 miles in on the treadmill tonight. Didn't have enough fuel in the tank so after 1.0 mile of interval running, I had to switch to straight walking for the last 3.1 miles....and honestly, that didn't even feel that much easier. I didn't eat anywhere near enough today and my body revolted bigtime and said "Nuh-Uh". :noway:
