Hope your ankle injury resolves soon ceciliaslater. I know from previous experience how annoying it is when you are trying to increase your activity and your body lets you down.

1.5 hours ballroom dancing yesterday. Going away for a few days tomorrow. Will hopefully get a lot of walking in, but wont be posting.

    Week 3
    1. Continued to do cardio for 45 minutes and weights every second day this week.
    2. Finally hit 10,000 steps on my Fitbit. Only on days where I work out.
    3. My dog loves me. We go for a fifteen minute to half an hour walk every day this week.

Managed to get in a swim before I go away. 60 lengths (1500m) in 62 mins. This is the longest swim I have ever managed, so really pleased with this. Unfortunately, now feel shattered and need to get myself packed and sorted to go away!

I walked 2, 369 steps today. More than I am supposed to, but it just kind of happened. I will do a little less tomorrow and then try for more on Monday.

Sore shoulder today. Swimming appears to have aggravated an old shoulder injury. Good job I am away and can't swim for a while.

Did 30 mins strength class this morning + 90 mins Ashtanga-ish yoga (very bodyweight focused type). So I consider my quota filled for this week. Up to 20 secs hanging from the pullupbar, but still very painful. Not quite sure what I need to do to heal the arm :(
August avg. daily steps so far is 10 654 :)

My step average has dropped back down to under goal but not by a whole lot. However, I bought some resistance cords to do some light strength training at home to start out. I am interested in using weights at my gym but I feel intimidated by it. I don't know how to set up and use the equipment and I don't have much confidence in my gym staff. Planet Fitness is not known for having good trainers. Mostly just basic knowledge staff. There is so much information online that it's hard to know what is a good beginner program too. I figure using the cords will be beneficial for now while I do more research.

Cleaning, tidying, walking back and forth, back and forth. I closed the door to my daughter's room. I'm not going there today. I really hate housework but I do like the results. :D

My step goal has not been met enough this week but I added new exercise so I still feel like it's a win. Especially since I am achy! I never got achy from just walking, even as quickly as I could with a few short bursts of running here and there. So, I feel like I am working my body harder and all over this way. I'm going to be ok with keeping up with walking some days and doing the strength training other days. I like this as the new plan.
