A small thing, I know but I was reading about skin tags and just realised that a skin tag on my eyelid has not gone of its own accord. Phew! According to the California Centre for Health Policy Research: Skin tags are most common among obese people, and may be a sign of insulin resistance or prediabetes.
I have not had a test for prediabetes but this is a good sign and a small NSV.9 -

I just eat the toppings off too. It can seem like you're not eating enough food overall without the crust in the beginning and be hard to wrap your head around that but don't forget that you won't feel as hungry overall anyway and it's just sort of a mental thing that makes you feel like you didn't eat much.
Also, my husband had an issue with me "wasting" pizza by not eating the crust and I just asked him if he wanted me to waste it or be fat? And that I can do whatever I want with my piece and he can do what he wants with his. I also offered to share each piece where I get the toppings and he gets the crust so there would be no waste, but he didn't want to be a team player... Lol
He was ok with me "wasting" it after that. But honestly, it's not wasting if you don't eat something that's bad for your body. You can't help it if the rest of the world wants to pile good food on top of gut destroying bread.
I guess my NSV is there's no shame in my no crust pizza eating game.
@Sunny_Bunny_ This is why we hit the buffet - I can eat as much crustless as I want, and he can eat his junk! LOL That being said, my small town shop flat out refused to make it without a crust, but the pizza shops in my new town said they'd have no problem making it that way - and they have a gluten free crust, too, which the other shop (same chain) claimed their district manager said they didn't and never would have...
No shame in my game, either. Used to bother my guy, now he kind of randomly brags on me about it. It is so weird. He still is hard core anti-keto, though.1 -
First, thank you for letting me in this group! I appreciate being among people who understand low carb diets are sound, and do work for people long term!
My most recent NSV is not hating how I look in pictures. I used to try to contort my head in all kinds of positions to try to help my face look not as full, now I don't have to try so hard. Also, I'm short, so I always get stuck in front in group pictures. I used to do anything I could to move to the back, but now it's getting easier to just stay in front.7 -
I'm a happy person I've never had to battle depression or anything severe but I've had my funk days. After a week of eating "not so good" and a stressful weekend of moving a daughter into her college dorm and putting a son on a train to go back to his school, I noticed quite a dip in my mood yesterday. I did some fasted cardio first thing in the morning, ate very low carb all day and feel back to my peaceful self today. I like feeling good.

I tidied up my underwear drawer the other week and lo and behold I need to go shopping as they are getting really loose again. Which is a problem if you predominantly wear skirts and dresses. Besides great excuse to invest in some new ones!7

Busted out my weight loss BFF, the tape measure and lo and behold I'm down an inch on my waist from 8/6! For my Apple's out there this is a big deal since our problem area is our tummies and is usually the last place we lose inches9

Posted this in on my feed but here is for y'all to see to my NSV too! When I started in May 2016:

My NSV: I haven't had any quest bars or protein bars in 3 weeks. That is the longest I've ever gone without a protein bar. They are like crack to me and they get so expensive. I have no self control when it comes to protein bars. Just one and I want to eat 4 more!10

My NSVs are the things I've been cooking this week. Garlic cauliflower mash with cream cheese and heavy cream, spaghetti squash sauteed with garlic and butter, and turkey meatballs cooked in the slow cooker. The spaghetti squash was the easiest of them all to make and has lasted for a few meals. Taste wise, cauliflower mash always wins.. so good!
For take out on Sunday instead of going for Mc Donalds or Arbys we ordered from Buffalo Wild Wings. 3 net carbs for 10 wings.. yes please! Great low carb choice and I'm definitely doing that again soon. Hubby was also very happy with that choice.
Yesterday I had a small NSV in resisting english muffins. I love those suckers and it was sitting on the counter being all buttery and delicious. I left it alone and snacked on almonds instead. Thank F for almonds!2 -
One major NSV for me. Wife took a picture of us last night. Just a random selfie. Double chin is shrinking. This means so much to me because my wife can roll out of bed and snap a great selfie. Me??? Has to be the right angle, don't get to close and pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth to flex that under chin muscle. And a ton of other things. All of my belts are on the last hole also.
Wished I would have known about this woe a few years back.10 -
Today's NSV my colleagues commenting on my shrinking double chin and emerging waist. Those comments really made my day, and my calves are shrinking!8

A client noticed my weight loss yesterday. So rare that they are thinking of anything but themselves, this is a good one!10

I was wearing jeans yesterday and had to run for a sec. Had to hold my pants up while running because they were falling down on me!17

The jeans I could barely zip up a few weeks back now fits me nicely, the jeans I was so proud of fitting into at the time are now loose! There is only about 3lbs between the weigh ins btw.
I also bought two new dresses that fits me perfectly as a size 14 UK or 10 US
I have moved into shopping in normal stores, there is even designer wear in my size now! But I have promised myself not to go mad, as I got more to loose.12 -
Well I caught a cold and woke up with a sore throat yesterday but otherwise felt fine today not so much. But I am sticking to my diet. Usually when I feel like crap I eat whatever I want so this is huge for me.
And I continue to find my scrub pants fitting better. One pair was slightly big when I bought them but are now way too big and it's hard to pull the string in enough to keep them up. The pair that was the tightest also feels better and doesn't cut me in half when sitting.6 -
Well I have this brown Eddie Bauer belt that I wear almost daily. I used to always be able to buckle it on the last hole (in the good direction lol). A few months back not so much. Then, I was like, no way, I am putting it on the last hole no matter what. This about cut me in half, but I kept on. I would go home after a full day of work and the marks it left on my waist were awful. Today, it buckled on the last hole easier than ever.9

So, I've been sick since the LexiScan on the 15th & 16th, feeling like complete and utter poo. Phlegmy. Tired. Sore throat, Cough. And tonight I really wanted Pacific's Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato Soup. But it's like 18 carbs per cup and I would have had at least two. It was really hard to pass up. But I did.
My weight is up. I'm starving and ate like 2400+ calories today. But net carbs for the day 7.
So chalk one up for me.5 -

Great on the carbs. Hope you are in communication with your doc. A week of feeling bad can't be a good thing.

I ordered some dresses online in a size 12, hoping that while they would be tight, I would be able to comfortably wear them in a month or so...... turns out they all fit wonderfully right now! (and two will most likely too big by the New Year!)11

I've been more focused at work I think because of my BPC.6

Not sure whether to call this a "victory" or not, but I went to yoga today for the first time in a long time. I can now feel way more bones (especially my tailbone) when I am laying on the floor and it hurts! Lost my cushioning10
