Personally, my motivation and dedication to plan would lag if I got to feeling too uncomfortable in my clothing. I had to get a solid piece or two at each major size leap down. I personally recommend this, because if we wait until we "get there" to indulge and celebrate, we tend to forget to enjoy the journey, and the journey is that life thing...not the destination.10 -
My NSV was being brave enough to get rid of my big clothes. Sold them online (minus 1 dress and 1 pair of jeans that I just love too much!) and posted the last package off today!10

I can now fit into trousers which I haven't been able to wear for well over 5 years and my shirt size has come down from XXL to L!13

I've not really thought yet about how I'm going to approach replacing my wardrobe... I've got a few nice pieces - jackets and suchlike - that I've kept in the hope of being able to wear again which I could easily wear now, but all the clothes I've been wearing for the last few years are starting to bury me... My trousers would easily qualify for one of those cheesy pictures with the thinner person stretching out the waistband to show how much space there is! With a decent belt they look OK, but I think men can get away with that more than women as the fat is naturally distributed differently, and even though I was 70lb overweight I didn't really carry it anywhere apart from my abdomen and chest (my man-boobs are looking SO much better!). Still, even if I wait until the summer to splurge on clothes I do get a buzz from putting something on, looking in the mirror and thinking 'this doesn't fit anymore!' so I might just carry on enjoying that feeling for a little while at least!3

@StarshipFighter23 - Honestly, if they are good quality pieces, it will be worth investing in a tailor. A good tailor will be able to tell you if it is worth cutting the pieces down to make new pieces out of them, or if you will be better of making a taxable donation and purchasing new pieces. I've been told that tailoring high quality pieces makes worlds difference in how you feel in them.1 -
As a hobby seamstress, tailoring anything makes a world of difference in how you look and feel in your clothes...most people have no idea how badly fitting off the rack clothes are for them...very few people are really a rack size.5

It's always a NSV for me when I'm able to socialize with friends at a restaurant and not bat an eyelash at their carb loaded appetizers and entrees. I'm able to enjoy my food without feeling deprived of eating the complimentary bread or chips or fries. I just remind myself it's complimentary for a reason! all the good stuff is always at an expense (extra bacon, extra avocado, price of steak vs the price of pasta)9

Today I'm down another size in my clothes. A year ago I was wearing unisex/mens 6X, today I'm in womens 3X.
I'm finding it very exciting because the fewer the 'X's, the greater the clothing options. I'm no longer limited to shapeless stretchy pants and generic giant t-shirts!26 -
@Steph_Maks thats so amazing!!!!!0

@Steph_Maks, Rock on with that commitment and persistence!0

3 weeks without counselling and I am doing great!
My sleeping is back under control.
I am a much nicer person, I do not bite everyone heads off no more.
I am more relaxed
Not taken meds for months now.
I am now able to concentrate more on my eating habits.
Yes, I still get stressed/anxious/ depressed but so far I have been able to deal with it without getting into the sleepless cycle turning back into depression.
To me this is a major breakthrough, I can do this without someone holding my hand and guiding me. I now feel like I can get back at concentrating more on what I am putting into my mouth than what I have done for the past few months.15 -
Tonight, while my fam was eating piza, I actually turned it down for chicken salad (I am VERY grateful that my family doesn't get angry anout how much chicken I go through)! I'm considering this a victory of wills =p14

I can no longer purchase jeans at the plus size store. I have shopped there for 15 years. the smallest size is too big!!
tops still plus size.17 -
My small-sized uniform pants fit again, and they're kind of loose! Hopefully next month they'll be loose enough to actually need the belt. Also, thank you keto for being to not eat most of the day without being hangry, I wouldn't survive this weekend otherwise.8

Went with the wife to buy some new pants yesterday.
I knew I had lost waist size because my belt is on the last notch.
B4 I started dieting and working out again, I was at a 46/48 (depending on brand), yesterday I'm down to a 40. Even those have some extra room.
Hoping to get down to a 36 where I used to be.
Very suprised it was this much of a difference as I'm only down 13lbs, but with lifting I suppose I gained some muscle and it may be masking the actual loss.

I had to get jeans out of storage because the ones I was wearing were too big. I also had to buy new bras.10

I have been eyeing a coat for over a year at a local store but it's always been too tight to zip. I tried it on just in case the other day and it zipped no problem! And it was marked half price off! The scale hasnt moved in a couple weeks but there's a lot less bloat in my belly!13

1 year doing cico and only 3 weeks of keto and i am finally starting to notice the weight loss in my thighs. the hardest place for me to lose weight.
Also been to the mothers for sunday dinner and didnt eat anything carby at all and refused a drink because the only mixer was cola.12 -
These are awesome. Congrats to everyone!6

Friday night is pizza night in our household. I reminded myself that the cheesy garlic bread I like from the pizza joint will always be there. I don't have to eat it now because I can get it any time I want. It's not going away, I know where to find it. So, while I certainly could eat a piece I don't have to.
I WAS SHOCKED THAT SELF PEP-TALK ACTUALLY WORKED. I did not have a piece of garlic bread. woo!18 -
Remember me - the one who is 7 weeks into a weight loss stall? I think I'm going to cry. I now have a waist size, in inches, in the 20's. 29 to be precise. The first time since.....I have no idea. I was too scared to take measurements for at least 5 years before keto. Now if my thighs would just co-operate...14

You're English. You're a man. Splash out on an amazing Paul Smith shirt. You'll never regret it.4 -

That is so awesome. I am happy to be down 3 ins. from my biggest. My waist is the last place my loses show up. Thighs are the first place that changes, thus I am in my small pants already with @15 lbs. more to go.2 -

Happy for you! Please spread your story so people can be more confident in trusting the process!4 -
My favourite pair of jeans jeggings are now so loose in the thighs, bum and waist. I used to wear spanx with them...now they don't even fit properly!14

I had to buy new bras.
I'm a breast cancer survivor, so I've always purchased my bras through a local medical supply company. And they're ugly. They're what we used to call "lunch lady bras" - 4 rows of hooks and enough fabric to make a tent (even though I'm not really that big!)
I went to Target and found some very pretty bras in my new smaller size. I haven't bought off the rack since 2010!20 -

Sure would like to give this one an Awesome x 10 but MFP won't let me.5 -
