My (kind of depressing!) weekly weigh in:
To be fair, I ate too many chips (fries) last night, so I can't really expect anything else! Ha!
TrendWeight is nicer to me though and my line is still sloping downwards!

My partner just sent me this picture from our camping trip last weekend - I am going to use this as my before/motivation picture... UGH! Posting it here so I have a record... At least the scenery is nice.

And some bonus shots of the view from our campsite and our setup.

That's beautiful!! & you look great, don't be mean to yourself! I actually think you look about the same as I do right now at 165. I like trend lines, too.0

Thanks! It's crazy how we are so critical - I can hardly look at that picture of myself it bothers me so much - everything about how I look makes me cringe...0

Just read through your journal, you're doing awesome! I love your chart, so detailed! I'm writing my weekly weight in the back of a notepad and hiding it from my husband, ha ha. Oh, and by the way, I think you look great! Maybe not what you're used to seeing, I get that, I do the same. But I can't wait to look like you some day!1

You are doing great! Love the pictures. Don't worry about gains here and there, you will lose those.1

I like your graph with the analysis - did you write this or was it some sort of download?0
-
You do not look like you weigh 190+, you look great! I love your photos, what gorgeous scenery you had around you.1

Thanks everybody for your kind comments - back after the weekend (I try to stay away from technology as much as possible n the weekend...).0

I agree, You carry your weight well0 -
Thanks!
So I FINALLY got back down to the weight I was the weigh-in before last (9 June)...
Note the nice gain on Saturday c/o the delicious Sangria (could also have had something to do with the food, though all I had were veggies and dip and a small portion of lovely Indian curry...). Was worth it though as my partner's sister and family were down visiting from Sydney and we only see them about once a year, if that.
Then note the ridiculous loss of a full kilo overnight (2.2 pounds)... Crazy body, clearly a bunch of water weight floating around...
And at least Trendweight says I'm still going down - even if the line's a bit flatter than I'd like and the goal date is now ridiculously far in the future - at least it's giving me a date (and at one point when I first started I think it was saying sometime in 2028... Yikes)!

That's awesome, Sarah! And you got to enjoy Sangria to boot! Woohoo! :-)1

Your charts are cool. I use Happy Scale app for weight trends. I like seeing that view better than the EKG-look of my weight on usual charts.
A year long tour of Oceania is on my bucket list as a dream vacation.1 -
Just quickly checking in.
Weight has been EXACTLY the same since Monday (it's Thursday here...).
Hoping my official weigh-in tomorrow will show a loss, if not, I'm going to have to actually start getting serious with tracking calories - shock, horror! (I've kind of dropped off with that over the past couple of weeks - coincidence with nothing happening on the weight front? I think not!)
Absolutely slammed at work with deadlines and haven't even had the chance to update my spreadsheet or read anybody's updates!! Will have to break my no-screentime-on-the-weekend rule to catch up!!
Hope everybody is doing great...0 -
Thats awesome! Looking forward to your update tomorrow0

Now that I'm on OMAD it would be really great to go camping! I love the camping pics. It would be cool to cook an OMAD meal outdoors around a camp fire. You can get as creative as you would like. You don't have to stick to the basic typical hot dog and hamburger. I would grill onions, mushrooms, as well as other veggies that are griller able. Then for the meat I would go with swordfish or sea bass.0

It was awesome - I usually majorly overeat when I'm camping. Junk food snacking all day basically. This time I probably ate too much for my one meal, but I just had the one meal. We just won't mention the booze!!0 -
Well, I'm finally 200g (0.4 lb) under my weigh in from two weeks ago... I'm not over happy with only losing 7.9 pounds in a month, but it sure beats gaining 7.9 pounds in a month, so I'll take it!!
I am definitely committing to entering my food again and counting calories. I can clearly pack way too many calories onto a plate/into an hour!
Anyway, at least it's going down...
AND, more importantly I'm not feeling deprived...
And Trendweight:

That is sustainable, you will get there. Steady wins the race!0

So my weight has been going up and down like a yo-yo! I was down almost 2 pounds on Sunday morning but then gained that plus a bit more back today... Go figure! I am totally convinced it's the salt that does me in (air popped popcorn with salt yesterday), so I don't stress too much about it. I'm actually super happy with feeling full once a day and not gaining, so losing a tiny bit every week is just an added bonus!
Just had a low calorie dinner tonight (around 450 calories) with those konjac noodles and cheese powder and peas and ketchup (I grew up in Canada - ketchup on mac and cheese (KD!) is normal!). I shoulda taken a picture as it was a nice big dinner, but I cannot for the life of me remember to do that. I am just too focused on getting it into ma belly!!0 -
The yo-yo!

LMAO, "I'm just too focused on getting into ma belly". Nothing like a funny *kitten* phrase to get one laughing in the morning. Yep, sometimes I don't take pictures for the same reason.
OMG, yes, high salt meals will add weight to me quicker than anything and I've learned not to stress about it anymore. I'm retaining 5lbs of water weight due to eating out and having a little mini-splurge (for lack of a better term--slim jims & jerkey--on Saturday, and then yesterday at my MILs she served bbq pulled pork. Two high salt days in a row. I know most, if not all if it will be gone by Friday and maybe then some.
You're doing fantastic and I love your attitude about remaining the same this week.1 -
@minigrrll what site/software are you using? I love how it projects into the future based on your current data
is there anyway to make it work with weekly entries instead of daily? I would lose my mind weighting in everyday haha0 -

I think the whole idea is to weigh daily when you use it - that's how it gets a moving average rather than using just a once a week weigh in where your weight could be anywhere at that particular point in time. The website is: https://trendweight.com and it's based on the Hacker's Diet which was a diet that was around in the 90's I think. I remember reading it!
There are others that do a similar thing - the apps Libra for Android and Happy Scale for iPhones are a couple I can think of...

Yeah, it's crazy really - that you can retain that much water - but there's really nothing else that 5lbs can be! The only time it's actual fat is when you get depressed, throw in the towel and eat everything in sight for a couple of weeks. Strangely enough - the water somehow then turns into fat! HA!

Slowly slowly inching down - though it's still giving me the same weight as yesterday... At least it's forecasting my goal weight date as 2 days earlier!
BTW - one of the things I like about Trendweight (and similar calculators) is the following:- take my low weight on Sunday of 86.7 (which was a pretty big drop from the day before) - TrendWeight was like, "no no no, you didn't lose 600 gms overnight, your REAL weight is 87.7 based on your previous daily weigh ins, so don't get all excited and ahead of yourself"!
- then on Monday when I bounced back up to 87.4, TrendWeight was like "no no no, you didn't gain 700 grams overnight, your REAL weight is 87.6 which is actually 100 gms lower than yesterday, so calm TF down"!
I know that as long as my weigh-ins are below the line, I'm still losing, even though the noise from the daily weigh-ins can kind of mask that. So as a pretty slow loser, it's much more motivational for me to look at the trend measurements rather than the actual measurements.
Of course, I always hope that one of those low weights will stick, but with me it always seems to be a drop followed by a gain and then a slow inching back down to that low weight. My body is clearly a bit of a b1t@h...1
