Newbie here. Just started keto 5 days ago though I've been on MFP off and on for about 2 years now. I should mention that I am eating at maintenance as I am breastfeeding and hoping that will be enough deficit without lowering my milk supply. Good luck everyone!

Weighing in. Annoyed with myself as my lowest weight this week was actually 221lbs, but Friday I decided to have a nice dinner out with the hubby and indulged in enough bread rolls for probably 6 people. Felt miserable the rest of the night (soooo bloated and gross) and now I'm paying for it in water weight gain. Must now get back into ketosis, *sigh.* Onwards!

Reached two significant mileposts this Sunday post day. First weighing-in at 188.2lbs, I made my goal, of being in the 180s this week. Second and even more significant is I have lost more than one bowling ball (15lbs) of weight, 16.2lbs since the New Year.

I think I am approaching a keto adapted state as my weight loss is slowing down. Although I still make frequent trips to the restroom offloading more water. As advertised by keto followers, I do have more energy, I seem to need less sleep, my joints feel better, I recuperate from exercise faster and I don’t feel hungry or deprived in any way.

Next week’s goal will be to weigh less than 185. That may be too aggressive, as I said, my weight loss does seem to be slowing as I approach being fully keto adapted. I can tell you a couple of things I’m sure of: 1. I love the way I feel doing keto. 2. I love eating fat!!!!!!

@shizzlebeef Well done and good luck this week. Don't get disappointed if you don't manage the under 240 this week, just know you have done really well so far and the weight loss will continue <3

You're right! As long as I keep dropping them pounds week by week.

I'm glad you're feeling so great, and I love how you measure your weight in bowling balls. :)

Check out the book Simply Keto and/or ketokarma.com - it has a keto calculator so you'll know exactly how many carbs/proteins/fat you need to consume (keep it below 20 grams of carbs while in the weight loss phase..
Love the tutorial at the beginning, the recipes and the 30 day menu. It's a great first step into KETO.

Thanks River Goddess :) Looks like you've lost 18.2 pounds this year so far. That is over one bowling ball (15#) too. Way to go!!!!!

Definitely think the scale needed new batteries at the time of last weigh-in, because I am up this week 2.5 lbs. in spite of being active and keto-compliant the whole week. I went skiing twice and did my peloton as well. I have never felt so good to have the scale say a higher weight than I previously thought, and it's all because in spite of the number on the scale, I can feel myself getting smaller and more toned. Each time I put on my ski pants (we have been three times so far), they are looser. I am not discouraged in the least. I know there will be a jump in the weight loss coming up soon.

Still on my TOM, going on week 3 now :s . I feel pretty bloated and bummed to have gained weight.
I am also not going #2...so maybe that's weighing on the scale too, lol!

    Here's to a better week, I guess :/

I’m being kind to myself and not weighing in this week. I haven’t had any typical morning sickness yet, but I’m very bloated and I feel starved all day and very nauseous if I don’t snack on something. I made a lot of bad choices for sure. I went grocery shopping last night and armed myself with plenty of vegetable and meat and cheese snacks for this week. I’m hoping to have a much better week and will weigh in this weekend.
