So, I did really well at Disney this week - avoided a lot of temptations and ate pretty close to my plan (actually better than my plan the day we visited Epcot!) and then fell off the wagon hard yesterday, with a carb-heavy breakfast followed by an airport dinner and plane pretzels.
Scale was up 4.5 pounds today from last Sunday, but I’m certain that the majority of that gain is water weight, considering my feet and ankles look similar to an elephant’s/feel like they’re full of playdough today - so, so puffy! Back on plan today and drinking tons of water trying to undo that water retention.1 -
i gained a little bit of bodyfat since last month, close to 13%. but i went down to 2200 kcal/day and goal is still 180 pounds at 10% BF until end of june

Yippeeedoooooodaaaaaa! Well it may only be 0.2 into it but I've lost 30 pounds since 24th September!!
Now I know it's taken a while and my weight bounces about like crazy but I've just looked at the spreadsheet and although I lost most of my weight the first three months (before the spreadsheet!) what I'm really pleased about is that I've stuck to it. Sometimes I've gained a pound or two but then I've gone straight back to it again.
It may be slow (very very slow!) but at the start of each month I'm starting a pound or so down from the month before. It may take me for ever but at least the trend is downwards and not upwards.
Also an NSV: yup; I know I'll get on the scales tomorrow and they may have popped up again, but the sun shone here yesterday and it inspired me to change over my clothes from winter to summer and everything I've worn for the past two to three years is too big and stuff I couldn't get into for several years now fits!!

4.4 lbs down this week. WOOT! The last time I have a weight recorded under 220 is January, 2015. I'm stoked!8 -
There are so many NSV since starting Keto 2 months ago. I think the most significant is the mental/emotional effect eliminating carbs has had on my life, I'm happier and more even. My husband seems more responsive to me and I believe eating a HFLC diet has smoothed over some rough edges in my disposition previously created by the spikes and falls of sugar and bread. I feel a sense of accomplishment, joy, and steadiness without the manic, gung-ho, and ultimately unsustainable rush I previously experienced when doing juice cleanses or trying to eat a raw food diet all in the hopes of losing weight. I grew up in the era of Anti-Fat. Eggs were the enemy and fat free foods such as bagels, pretzels, bran muffins, and rice were the smart food choices. Margarine was the answer to butter, salt was to be avoided, and artificial chemical sweeteners came in all colors that may or may not cause cancer. There was a little deprogramming I had to go through in the beginning of this Keto adventure, but not much. I knew bread, pasta, and rice were causing problems. My friends initially asked, "How long are you doing this for?" After 2 weeks of Keto my response was an easy, "Forever."
@NikkiJRM The best NSV I can think of!!!

NSV for me, a friend took me shopping at a store I've never gone in before. I automatically walked to the area with "flowy" shirts, she grabbed my arm and said, " you're not a plus size anymore!" Ended up buying mediums and smalls!
I also put my "before" start picture on the fridge and my youngest daughter said, "I just can't remember you looking like that."

I have had a couple of NSV's this week. The first, strangely enough, happened in the shower. I was rinsing and suddenly was wondering what happened because 1/2 my butt had disappeared. It was a startling revelation regarding my body shape changing.

Hey People! I had the best time reading all the NSVs today! My latest was a neighbor pulling over to tell me I was getting so thin and I looked great. I think I've gotten to that point where there isn't a question anymore, and it's so much weight gone that people know it's intentional.
This week I'm about .5% down in BF, which is 1.6lbs less of body fat to carry around. Lean muscle is hovering around the same as last week. Also...HELLO 170s!!!
I have another week of LCLF ahead with a small detour tonight to taste my oldest daughter's birthday cake. She turns 13 today. Otherwise, I am pre-logging my entire week tonight. It was helpful this past week.
For physical activity, I am challenging myself to 3 days of 1 minute of burpees.

Well, my first week doing keto is in the books. Scale moved a few lbs, and in general I'm still feeling great, though honestly I hoped for bigger numbers. My struggle this past week was making sure that I'm not consuming sneaky carbs (still learning) and ensuring that I've planned and prepped ahead so that meals are easier. I work two jobs, so it is extra important for me to do this otherwise I'm going to run into trouble ordering takeout. I've done a good job resisting temptations - except with alcohol. I plan to abstain this week and see how it goes. For all the keto veterans out there, any words of wisdom for me? Thanks and cheers!

My scale does body analysis. It's a Weight Gurus bluetooth scale. I was looking as other similar scales that sync to mfp & fitbit, and this one was priced in my budget. $59.99 at BB&B and I used a 20% off coupon. While I don't necessarily think it's 100% on the money, I do look at the trend to see if I'm going up or down in certain things. Most recently I've been focused on increasing or at least maintaining my lean muscle.4 -

I actually have a NSV this week! Since I've gone off sugar and carbs about five months ago I've noticed that my skin has changed (for the better). I've had skin tags and moles just dry up and fall off. I've learned that moles and skin tags are a form of benign cancer that feeds on sugar. I'm not eating sugar and carbs anymore so I'm starving anything that might be tempted to turn into cancer. I'm loving keto. Down another pound this week. Maybe I can break into the 50s this next week.

Welcome! This is a great place to start for support and encouragement! Just curious though, how tall are you? You must be pretty short for a Dr to tell you 120 is where you should be.2 -
I know this month is going to be hard because we're going to be visiting family for a couple of weeks and we just found out we might be moving. But here goes nothing.
SW: 134.1 @ 26.2% BF (3/27/18)
April 29: 129.6 @ 25% BF
GW: 120 would be awesome, not by the end of May, just over all. Maybe within a couple of months. I would be stoked if I could get to 125 by the end of May. That doesn't seem like much, but I'm at my typical plateau, so I expect it to be harder now.

@mznik114 I went up .5 lbs this week too. I'm finally at the point where I don't get too discouraged by such a small increase at weigh in time. As a woman there are a lot of contributing factors to weight fluctuations within such short and regular weigh-ins. You are doing amazing!!!!!5

and if any of you are at all like me the occasional falling by the wayside even for an evening throws you out by pounds (three up after Sunday evening out!!) then it takes days of sainthood to get back to where I was, like yesterday, saintlike to make up for Sunday and not even half that added weight gone ahhhhh! Still it will go!!2 -

Thanks! I'm trying to get to where you are...not getting discouraged! Hopefully I'll get there soon. I just hate doing things properly and not seeing results on the scale. But you are so right...being a woman has it's contributing factors...ugh lol!2 -

The problem I have is that I'm not falling by the wayside... although I sometimes think I should since I'm gaining and losing every other week! Lol Maybe it's just the way my body does what it does. I am doing lazy keto at the moment so maybe I need to be strict again...who knows!
I'll be having birthday cake Friday so I'll prepare for those results...and if it's a gain, there will be no question as to how!2
