It feels good to be back and getting to focus on something else. The last few days were the worst and now I feel so much better looking at all the successes everyone had in just the last 3 days. GO TEAM FLAB-U-LESS!!4

Does anybody have their scale fluctuating in different parts of the room? I tried this today, and there was a difference of almost 2 kg Weirder still, when I went back to the usual resting place, it showed me at first a higher and then a lower weight. Anyway I noted the very first weight I saw at my usual place.1

Floors are very uneven, especially wood, linoleum, and carpeted floors. Tile/concrete floors are uneven also but usually to a lesser extent. The batteries in your scale may also be getting low which would give you wild readings also.0 -

I've had that happen. I usually pick a spot an leave the scale there but I'll weigh 3 times. If the weight is the same all three times, I'm good. If it isn't, I the two weights out of three that are same. Weird, huh?.1 -

Another thought regarding the inaccurate scale reading - I read a while ago (probably on MFP) how someones food scale was being affected by another appliance in their kitchen when they placed the scale nearby. I guess the same could happen with other scales.
My own scale doesn't like carpet, but is fine and gives consistent readings on timber or tiled floors as long as it's flat.

@empire5 A food scale that is affected by other appliances...bizarre. Maybe it was one of those that syncs with a phone or something.??
