Our long drive today got off to a good start (we left the house ahead of schedule, when does that happen??), but it soon became apparent that two (and now all three) of my girls have the stomach flu. Two diarrhea accidents in the car, three girls sitting with throw up bags in their laps, lots of extra stops. Ugh!! Poor girls. They seem better this evening and all three ate small amounts for a snack after all day without eating. My calories for today were really low too due to being with them in the car for 11hours. I just ate a cookie and a small chocolate. Hoping tomorrow’s drive is much less trying. Good night all.
No wonder you didn't eat much - it's really no fun looking after children who are sick, especially while you are travelling. Hope things improve quickly! Kids can sometimes be really resilient through these things.1 -

Had an awesome day yesterday. I ate when i was hungry and stopped when i was full! Win!! I drank my water, got my steps in, listened to my podcasts, read my book, and did not eat a snack in the evening. wow. look at all the things i did yesterday creating the new me. she is awesome. i am going to be her soon.
I want to thank all my team mates! I love that people are checking in and sharing ideas and giving support. You guys all rock!! We are the best team to be on.
Oh yea, and @phoebe112476 i forgot to give you a couple of podcasts i have been listening too. one is called real weight loss for real women by cookie rosenblum. and another is Thinner peace by Dr. Deb Butler. now the last one say menopause and beyond, but she uses the same concepts as phit n phat. omgosh, that drive sounds terrible. those poor babies. i sure hope it is just a 24 hour thing. and nice loss! another half pound down. now maintenance for a week. remember -2, +2!!
@nstephenson01 wow your winters are something else. is this a typical winter for you? lol and you saw a moose. how wonderful. that is truly amazing. yup, your right this time a year 28 is warm. almost want to wear shorts! lol
@ihp2015 i have really been spending a lot of time working on mindfulness. really feeling my stomach while i am eating. listen to when i am really hungry or when i am full. it is a new useful skill that i am still a novice at!
@ljdanny good job getting prepped for the rest of your week. im hoping you son comes home today. take care and hug him for me.
Yeah @eminater. onederland! you are a rock star. good job being more active and cleaning up your diet. every change helps push you futher to your goal.
@sleepymom5 sounds like your day was crazy busy. how did you do on your food plan? what was positive about yesterday that you can celebrate?
@GingerPwr first off sometimes your inner klutz has to come out. and it sound like you have a very crazy day. and yes... yay you! you were all stressed and you didn't change the new you. new you said thank you for staying on track.

Check in day: Monday
Steps: 10,028
Exercise: 1.1 miles on the treadmill
Yesterday was a good day. I ate lunch and dinner and had a snack. Also walked on my treadmill. I have a goal of walking on my treadmill every day. Then I'll be ready to walk all my dogs when it warms up (I have 2 Huskies and an american eskimo. Also a shih tzu but shes too old and lazy to go for a walk lol). I also was looking back at my old food journals from around this time last year. A year ago the weight was coming off without me even trying. I was 18 pounds less. I was comparing what I was eating and its basically the same as now. Only difference I saw was that half the time I didnt have breakfast, just tea. So I'm trying that for the week and I'll see if that makes a difference.3 -

Kept on track again yesterday and got more water. I was so tired though! It was tough getting myself to workout, but always feels worth it when I’m done.
@nstephenson01 So cool you saw a moose! When we lived in Colorado, we took a camping trip just to see one. We found them...and my husband got an even more close-up view than he was hoping for!
And I agree with @cyndiesstuff, we do have an awesome supportive team! Let's have a great Tuesday!

@phoebe112476 Thank you for the podcast link I will listen to it when I get home.
@Shirin_K Good job getting your workout done even though you were tired! Way to stay motivated! I agree it is always worth it when it's over.
Yesterday was a good day, I ate at my calories, drank 120oz of water and did my weight training as I planned, so it was a successful day.5 -

Big NSV yesterday. Had my annual physical and it was all great! Cholesterol, blood pressure, labs, all excellent. I am about 15 lbs lighter from my last physical and my doctors was so happy & encouraging. This is such a boost, particularly with the sciatica injury. As for today, omg another snow day today! I finished a lot of work on the weekend to prepare for this one. As requested by my boys, made these teddy bear pancakes!
@eminater - Amazing loss! Congrats!
@phoebe112476 - So terrible about your girls getting the stomach flu and in the car no less! Hope that everyone is on the mend!

Finally a good day!! Yay yay the "new" Nancy is back after a mini hiatus LOL. I was trying to recall... I guess this is a typical winter for us here. I just wasn't working as hard to meet exercise and weight loss goals. If anything I think this amount of snow may be late for us...??? I'm just so ready for spring, 3 less layers of clothing and long hikes in the sunshine. Hoping to get out for at least a short walk again today.
@phoebe112476 So sorry about the rough start to your trip. Hoping the remaining days are much smoother.
@cyndiesstuff I agree we have a great team!! Many thanks to you and @sleepymom5 as Captains as well as all our Team Weight No More members for all of your support not only in our triumphs but also during our challenging times. Cyndie, you have on so many occasions helped me get back on track when I've lost my way along this journey to good health. Thanks lady!!
@Shirin_K The moose was fun to see... at a distance!! LOL
Have a great day everyone. Sorry to those of you getting snow... trust me when I say I feel your pain.

I worked from home yesterday and got totally sucked into the computer! I don't know where the time went. I almost was late for my 4:30 PT session. I was so exhausted that I called it a night without exercising or getting my steps in. Lesson learned, I need to exercise early. However, I didn't follow that this am. I am meeting a co worker at her house and thought it would be canceled because of the weather. No luck with that so I have to head over there after I get off of here. I will have to get my exercise in after. Eating well but snacked yesterday in the evening again. I actually wait to complete my diary until it is late, maybe I need to complete right after dinner as I shouldn't be eating after anyway....Oh well, got to go.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!
I couldn't agree more!
@cyndiesstuff Sounds like a perfect day yesterday. I am so proud of you!
@Zumba_Luvah Great job yesterday! You have so many dogs! How fun! I know, a lot of work too... Idk if the breakfast is what will make a difference but if it is, maybe you were doing an IF type of thing without realizing it.
@Shirin_K You really have been doing so well lately. I waited too long to exercise and was so exhausted last night. I have to start doing it in the am.
@amsandos Thanks for checking in. I am glad you are still with us. I don't know about you but being sick, especially a cold, makes me crave carbs! Good that you maintained and I hope you are feeling better soon!
@gottagetthisdown Happy to hear you have one good day under your belt. That always helps. Keep the momentum going!
@Cafelelia I was all ready to congratulate you and then got distracted by the Teddy Bear pancake! Yum! And so cute! Perfect for a snowy day off! Back to your NSV-what an awesome doctor's visit!
@nstephenson01 I guess if you aren't sure it is what you usually have. You must just be used to it by now. Glad you got a little break for a day at least. Hope your shoulder is feeling better too.
@NuggetBrain I have such a hard time exercising in the winter, it isn't a chore in the nice weather.5 -
@eminater I am doing the happy dance girl! woooo whooo..
@Zumba_Luvah have you ever tried getting your dogs to walk on the treadmill? my dog said no way. but I have seem dogs do it tho. lol. @sleepymom5 is right maybe you were doing intermittent fasting and just didn't realize it. might be your answer.
@Shirin_K good job at getting in your workout. little things add up to big things.
@amsandos phew, glad your ok. was nervous about you not checking in. sorry you have been under the weather. hope you are feeling better soon. and maintain is good when you have been sick.
@gottagetthisdown one of the biggest components of weight loss is getting your head right. you can do this.
@Cafelelia yes! you numbers are all in check. doesn't that feel great? all of the hard work is paying off. you are getting healthy. terrific nsv. and I love those pancakes! so cute.
@nstephenson01 yayayay nancy is in the HOUSE! lol. you and I have been at this a while. the great thing about that is that we sure are resilient!!! I am glad I have been helpful. I try very hard to be.
@sleepymom5 you know I have done that with my food plan. it does help. but what I have found really helpful now is a 24 hour plan. what will you do for the next 24 hours (include food, appts., work). then as you work thru your day, you can check things off. write it out on a piece of paper. and then follow it. and if you want to deviate from it tell yourself, "no choice" the plan was made yesterday. and it you don't follow plan, don't beat yourself up but make sure to note it on the paper and be real honest why you didn't follow plan.

I am eating lunch and feeling really blessed. I have s spinach arugula salad with sweet peppers, carrots, garbanzos and pumpkin seeds, fresh parsley and fresh squeezed lime juice. A large cup of organic cold season tea. Unsalted organic rice crackers. Raining all day. Brought sneakers for a run. At10am my team said “you better run now. It’s lightened up but gonna get worse as the day goes on”. So I ran in the rain. I feel like a kid laughing in the rain.3

I am reading all the posts and responses. Can I just say ditto to all the supportive words you have all written to each other? At least for right now.
I chose the pink picture to add to my work profile stats. Thanks everyone. My first day is February 19th. I go to NC on April 8th. I have 7 weeks of training starting on the 25th of February3 -

Today is a great day -- rainy, cold, forbidding outside, but it's been a quiet day (a lull) at work allowing for some catch-up. Tonight, I am going with my daughter to a touring company production of Waitress. Never heard of it, but the tickets were free, so.... A quick dinner with her and the theater and then home to Wyfe, who is taking a night off.
I am spending a little bit of time this afternoon trying to translate something from an obscure foreign language ("Female") to my native language ("Husband")..... The original statement was "I didn't do much for Valentine's Day this year, and you shouldn't either. And No Candy this year, please." As there are at least 20 meanings for this statement, I am trying to determine which path allows me to express my affection for my wife without getting into trouble for ignoring instructions on either the high side OR the low side. Really, ladies, you have no idea how stressful these things can be....
Have a great afternoon, all!6 -
@eyesopennow maybe write her a love letter and put it somewhere she will find it. profess you love for her. make her swoon! really spend some time on it. would work for me. I told mine not to do anything and he won't. lol. that's ok for me. but if he would write me a love letter I would give him a valentines present he would remember! lol. just saying4
-
@eyesopennow wifey was stressing as well what to get me. She asked all family members. Skylynn aged 9, said “why don’t you just ask her?” So I was asked what I want for Valentine’s Day. Easy...pink cashmere sweater, light pink, preferably v neck, size medium. What can I say...I’m a material girl. Molly has a degree in English. She loves poetry. I bought her Mary Oliver’s Dog songs. Excited to give it to her. She also loves socks. Is it showing our age to say I bought her her first pair of compression socks for a present? They are a lovely shade of camel.4

WEEK 2
PW 176.4
CW 176.2
LOSS 0.2
Another week where I shouldn’t have really lost anything, very surprised there wasn’t a gain!
I’m back in such a positive mind frame today and I’ve eaten very well! Logged and under calories for the day! It’s weird how my brain can just click in and out of “diet mode”. I want to get past that and just be in “healthy lifestyle mode” forever. How do normal people do it? I feel like there’s constantly a battle in my head over food. I’d love to know what it’s like to not have that.
I’m super close to my end of March target, only 8lbs to go and I’m so certain that I’ll get there! Then after that, I feel like I’ll be on the final stretch of a life long battle! The lighter I’ve got, the more I’ve wanted to lose. I’m seeing how my body carries weight and I think for my height I need to be around 130lbs. That’s 46 pounds away, but I’ve lost double that already so I know I can do it!!!7 -
@Cafelelia Yay for a great doctor visit! I'm hoping by the time I go to my checkup this summer I'll really impress mine, too.
@Mrsbell8well your lunch looks amazing!
@eyesopennow I agree with the suggestion of a love letter. Maybe a good bottle of wine or you make her a special dinner?
Today is another good day. Staying on track but I know tomorrow's weight will be up because TOM. But to add an NSV to this, I'm not panicking about the small gain, and I'm also not using TOM as an excuse to invite ED along for the ride. Feeling pretty confident that in a few days the scale will be headed back in the right direction.7 -
