Hey everyone! Some people are wondering why we are so low in the rankings. Well, the rankings are based on percentages of lost weight as a whole team and there are 13 people that have not given me weights for the 1st week, but won't be dropped until they miss two consecutive weigh ins. Most of them were newcomers, but I don't know why so many of our team chose not to participate?? The average drop for this team and the other teams is 6-8 members the 1st week and then 1-2 every other week. It is really pushing our %'s down. If they don't weigh in this week, they will be dropped and our ranking should increase dramatically.3

So...I'm sorry that I didn't get to put up a question of the week last week....SO....here we go since it is Monday!! Mini Challenge: question of the week. What keeps you motivated to keep coming back month after month?1
-
What keeps you motivated to keep coming back month after month? It started as mild curiosity for me after I got off Prednisone and dropped weight quickly and easily.....How much weight CAN I lose??? Then, I met all the awesome people on here and dropped some more weight. Now, I just remember what I use to feel like and what I could go back to feeling like....so here I stay....WITH ALL YOU AWESOME PEOPLE!!!4

Daily Post: 03/11 Monday
Track: yes
Calories: under
Exercise: YES!! I love the time change...now I get to see the light of day AND I don't have to worry about getting shot by our coyote hunting neighbors that have the IQ of a turnip and shoot across public land with no target.
Daily goal: Obtain a permit and insurance for my Honey Badger Petting Zoo. Tomorrow-remember to pay my insurance premiums.
I will not be home until possibly Thursday to weigh in, so it will be 2 days late this week.2 -

Mini challenge Q of the week:
I think posting daily keeps me motivated. I'm a list maker by nature and checking in here daily for me is like ticking something off my to-do list.
Looking back over the last year, I'd say the last 3 months since joining this group have by far been the most consistent in my weight loss and I feel my motivation is at it's highest.
Mid-last year I was starting to do a bit of '2 steps forward, 1 step back' every few weeks.2 -

Looking back at old pictures motivates me more than anything! I don't want to let myself get like that ever again.2 -

Q of the week:
I am definitely motivated by old (and recent) pictures to keep going but being a part of a community where you have support, accountability and everyone has the same goal to be healthier and live a better life keeps me coming back every day even when I think I am too busy. Thank you MFP friends and teammates. 😘4 -

Daily post 12 March
Tracked
Calories - 96 over netto (approximately)
Exercise - 7 km walk
Also ate before 9pm
As for what gets me to not quit the group - mainly the positive vibes and the empathy shown here
As for why the weight loss plan itself - keeping a target weight motivates me to eat and exercise responsibly - and I feel so much more in control of my body. Also before I started with this, I used to have all sorts of body pain - back, hips, shoulder, neck etc. Now I do stretches/yoga when that happens. Importantly, I can trust my body enough to do yoga!3 -
@Stephanie20685 & @lk2011 great day for the both of you!
@aniyahl33 & @12774 YES!! That is the way to do it you two!! Keep it up!
@rekvar12 Doing awesome!! Yeah, we're pretty much motivated by the same things.2 -
