Another gorgeous day here. Yesterday I finished fixing the Jeep top. Have to say I was pretty pleased with how it came out and so was my gf. Grocery run and then I started on the second box of peaches. I made a pie for dinner that only had about 1/4 cup of sugar for the whole pie, the peaches are sweet enough on their own. I roasted 2 chickens with peaches, onions, garlic, rosemary and thyme. When the chickens are done you remove the herbs and then put all the pan juices in a blender with the peaches and onions. Blend until smooth add a bit of salt and pepper and cook down a bit in a sauce pan before pouring over the chicken. I served it like gravy because I wasnt sure everyone would like it. they did.I only served the breast because the dark meat wasnt quite done and we were starving. We made" Peachscatos" while we waited for the chicken. I quart bag of frozen peaches in the blender with 1 bottle moscato wine. I also made a peach bourbon sauce that I am on the fence about. I think I will end up turning it into BBQ sauce. today I have to make jam before the peaches go bad. my son is cooking tonight so all I have to do is roast some tiny potatoes on the grill. Not sure if I will get to the deck until next week.
Bert, I sure hope Sears does the right thing. you have been thru a ridiculous amount of hassle with them. Amazing how our little boys are so like their male role models. And I bet Jillian just loves being with you. You have such sweet grands.
waving hi to all and hope to see you here soon

Patti, my mouth is watering! Your cabin must smell like heaven.
Bert, I love that Cole emulates his grampa. He will be adorable watching the concrete crew work - there's nothing like feeding childhood curiosity. And of course Jillian just loves time with you and Mike. Sears had better do the right thing - you have had a summer of insanity with that fridge (and the AC, AND the patio, and ...). If anyone deserves some quiet time to float in the pool, you do!
Hello to Paula, Diane, Cindy and Karla - hope all is well in your worlds.
Not much to report here. Had endocrinologist bloodwork yesterday, then treated myself to a couple of summer tops from the clearance rack - so hard to find long-sleeved stuff I like, and my sun sensitivity is nothing to mess with. I need to put a hat into the car as well.
Read Cindy's new book and it's delightful - she writes characters you really pull for. Not sure yet what today will bring but I am better rested than I was yesterday. Need to do some fill-in grocery shopping and do some laundry & cleaning here. My cleaner seems to have flaked out permanently, which is OK because it saves money, so I need to step it up around here, In the fall, I will probably look for someone to come just once a month - every two weeks is nice but too costly.
Thinking of you all - hugs.0 -
Patti and Janet; I just got off the phone with Sears and they said I would have to have the fridge returned to the house and a Sears technician would have to verify the local shop’s diagnosis! I’m beyond mad st this point. I’m going down to the local appliance store after the kids leave to figure out what can be done. 😡0

Good grief, Bert! That's truly infuriating. Have you tried Sears corporate? They might be unhappy that their store has been so awful to you - Sears is in danger of shutting down as it is, and this type of customer non-service won't help;
Had a productive morning of personal planning - James had asked me to look around for a July 4th opportunity (most of the fireworks around here were last weekend, and the big downtown show on the 4th will be much more of a zoo than either of us prefers. So I landed on a very KY thing to do: My Old Kentucky Home state park has an amphitheater and will be doing its Stephen Foster show, followed by fireworks. We've been to the site before - Foster's home is there, and the amphitheater looks nice. Bought tickets and hope he will want to go - reserved seating means crowd control, and it's only a bit more than an hour from home. Hoop skirts! 19th-century ditties! And because it's Foster's birthday, free cupcakes at intermission. It sounds just weird enough to be lots of fun, and you certainly can't get more Kentucky than this. Plus, there's a really nice golf course in the state park and if he wants to golf before the celebration we can go down in the afternoon and make a day of it. I figure he won't still be here next July 4, so an exceedingly KY fourth seems a good idea.0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. The patio is poured and looks nice. Greg and Carrie came over last night and Carrie dug out flowers and shrubs that I've wanted out for the longest time. Greg and Mike did the heavy lifting. I'm so thankful she did that. I want to put in some type of fire pit/sitting in that area, so I'm researching what I want. I'm sure Greg and Carrie will help with that.
Janet: I have not tried Sears corporate; at this point the fridge will be delivered back to the house on Friday moring and the Sears "technician" will be here Tuesday at some point. The time frame is 8:00 - 5:00 which infuriates me. The last two times they have been here, they come around 10:00. I am so done with Sears. They wanted our local appliance/service shop to do some things in order to "fix" the internal leak. The repairman refused to do that of which I totally understand. Mike is calling Sears today, as I just can't handle it anymore. Have fun at the Stephen Foster show. It sounds like so much fun.
Have a great day, everyone!

Good Morning All -
As I take a deep breath and have actually time to post- releasing the 3 books within 5weeks has been a monumental task on top of the biz trip to Columbus- dinner with the New President and now we've been working around the house- updating the bathroom with new paint and vanity- on top of that my Dad has pneumonia and my mom wants to come north for a week but step-father can't travel and his kids won't jump in to stay a couple nights at a time with her.
But I went back to WW- well not this week with project work food planning has gone out the window but I will be back there soon for my the most part I'm trying to make mindful choices.
Patti- the curtains are lovely and the cottage must smell like heaven
Janet- thank you for saying how much you enjoyed the book- I was proofing the paperback of Borrowed and I was like I wrote this - several scenes still make me cry.
Bert- you're pictures are lovely can't believe you're still dealing with the fridge,
Paula- when do yo move in? so exciting
Diane- do you have an overall bucket list for the RV life of just where the wind takes you?
Karla - I hope things have smoothed out for your brother. I've been reading your posts on FB
Well I need to get going I have to log something into WW today- lol
Have a sparkling day and July 4th
Cindy0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. Happy Fourth of July! Our patio is finished and looks really nice. I'm going to spray weed killer this morning and will also vacuum the pool. Not much else going on after that.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Happy 4th of July everyone!
Janet, love the KY themed celebration. You always find the best stuff to do. Hope it is not too hot and you have a wonderful KY adventure.
Cindy, glad you had a few minutes to check in. I am enjoying the book in small doses, mostly because I don't have time to read but also to make it last. You are really finding your style with each new book..
Bert, I am incensed at how Sears is treating you on this whole deal. Just proves that good service, even with a warranty, is hard to come by. Enjoy your pool and whatever else you have planned.
Wonder where Diane is these days. Haven't seen any pictures in weeks. Hope all is well.
Paula, hope you are feeling ok and just busy with the house and your family. Miss your posts.
I got a great surprise yesterday when we uncovered the boat. I had already done the back seats and the side of the motor cover! something you would think I would remember, lol. Yesterday I finished the two long benches. All that is left is one captain's chair and replacing the back of another. All the backrests need done but that will be a huge project because they are attached to the rails of the boat. That will happen another time. We got the dock put in and Edd scrubbed our boat so it can go in the water today once the seats are mounted. My scale hop yesterday shows me right at 190, so not gaining but not losing at the moment and that is a win for me. I am really watching portions and only taking seconds on veggies.
Back to my view and coffee.
Let Freedom Ring!

Good Morning, Ladies. Today, our local appliance store is delivering our irrepairable fridge back! They said to let it run, so the Sears technician can verify their diagnosis. Whoever Mike talked to yesterday said that if it "goes out again", they will take it a step higher and involve corporate. We shall see what the Sears "technician" diagnoses.
Our patio looks nice. I'm wanting to get some new furniture, but will definitely wait until it goes on sale. We are working on landscaping around it.....I'm wanting to do a fire pit in the flower bed off the patio. I think it will look great when it gets done. We have so much yard work to do, it wears me out to think about it.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Hello, it was another awesome day here yesterday. I have one more seam to sew and then calling it done for now on the boat. we took a nice long ride with the neighbors on their pontoon. we have 6 adults and 2 twelve year old girls coming for the weekend. rib dinner tonight, beef tenderloin tomorrow night with lots of fresh fruits and veggies. the weather is supposed to continue to be awesome.
Bert, I am still angry on your behalf over how Sears has handled.this whole deal. Do enjoy the weather and don't overdo the work in this heat.
janet, can't wait to hear about the KY 4th you planned.
lots to get done before friends arrive later this afternoon.

Good Morning, Ladies. It's another steamy morning, so I doubt I'll be outside much. I need to get the church service done this morning and then will spend most of the day tidying up.
Patti: Glad you're done for now with the boat. I love riding on pontoons. It brings back so many memories of my aunt and uncle's pontoon at their lakehouse. We had many good times at the lakehouse in my younger years. Dan and Annie rented a lakehouse a few years ago in Wisconsin. I went up there to visit and had a good time riding in the boat.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. It's going to be another hot one today. I don't know what is in store to do after church, but I plan to get in the pool at some point. It will probably be late afternoon when the sun isn't as potent.
Have a great day!
Bert0 -
HI All,
Well back to the corporate world tomorrow- I've really enjoyed this week off -
If you're on FB Blue, book 3 is in a cover contest with 9 other books Its free to vote and you don't need to register and you can vote every 24 hours until Sunday at 8 AM. I'd love your support, it gets me a bunch of free publicity in the book world.
Patti- I'm weaving a pontoon book love scenes in my new book so its funny you talked about this. This is Peyton and Jack from Ready to Soar.
Janet- how was the 4th. I'm still smiling from our dinner and Meg was thrilled to meet you too.
Bert- how can any company this day and age with social media be so blasé regarding good quality products and customer service. Is there a lemon law for appliances or the better biz bearu ?
I'm guess most everyone is off having a excellent summer -
Need to get back to work- trying to wrap up 2 more pages tonight.
Hugs
Cindy0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. It will be another hot one today. Not sure what activity is in store today, but will go outside early this morning. I had a very rough night last night with shoulder and back pain. I guess I'll have to call the doctor again as the steroids did nothing (as I expected).
Cindy: I'll investigate the lemon law. The thing is that it worked for 4 years with no problem. I have so many other things that need repaired. I'm just at my wits end.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Good morning, everyone!
Cindy, hope your return to the grind isn't too awful - looking at the email inbox after a few days off was always disconcerting.
Bert, I'm also furious on your behalf. Some of us have a very long fuse, but this is ridiculous, and it doesn't make meal/shopping planning any easier. Fingers crossed for Sears to do the right thing - and soon. At least you should soon be in line for end-of-season patio furniture sales soon.
Patti, you're such a sewing marvel that you had more done than you thought - not a bad spot to be in.
Hello to Paula, Karla, and Diane - hope all is well in your worlds.
No Bardstown trip on the 4th - James wasn't feeling well, and he had a very quiet weekend - hasn't golfed since the 3rd (he normally plays at least 5 days a week). He has slept lot but now says he's starting to come out of it. Poor guy - his stomach has been off, so he hasn't really had a good meal in days either. I've been assembling easy stuff for myself, but my choices have been to go easy over healthy sometimes. New week, better choices, I hope.
Gotta run - need to return stuff to the library and run a few other errands. Cross your fingers - endocrinologist tomorrow morning. I think bloodwork looks OK (Labcorp sent a link to results). so we'll see what she says about Synthroid dose.
Have a great day, everyone.0 -
quick stop. All my guests left yesterday. we had a wonderful weekend filled with good food, pontoon rides, playing in the water and a great fireworks display in the river.
today is laundry and pressure washing the rest of my deck.
Bert, not sure I would have been as patient as you have been but just hate how companies like that can seem to just steamroll you and suffer no consequences. fingers crossed that a new fridge is in your very near future.
Cindy, I will def check out and vote on your cover. glad you has a good week off.
Janet, sorry to hear James has been unwell. hope he has a better week. Fingers crossed for good visit to your endo.
work awaits
Patti0 -
Janet and Patti: I haven’t been patient. I’ve thrown several “fits” with Sears; and I must say that the technician who comes tomorrow had better agree that it’s unrepairable. If he doesn’t, S__t will definitely hit the fan! I’m only waiting it out for tomorrow’s appointment as I want replacement money out of them.
I worked in a flower garden this morning. I use the term flower garden loosely as it’s been taken over by some type of weed with purple flowers. This area has been neglected so I’m trying to “spruce it up”. I’ve sprayed weed killer in the area after I worked to hopefully get the roots out.
Time for shower and some pool time.

Hello all! I actually have service today. I haven’t updated the Facebook blog because in Canada I have very limited data per day, and just two or three photo uploads would kill that. Hoping to stop in a campground with WiFi in the next day or two and catch up.
Since you last heard from me we have been in the backwoods of Maine, Acadia NP with the family, then into New Brunswick along The Bay of Fundy, and now Prince Edward Islamd. Tomorrow we head for Nova Scotia. Some biking, some paddling, some sightseeing, and unfortunately lots of eating and drinking. I don’t think my pants are getting any tighter, but that may be wishful thinking.
We heard today that we can have my moms interment ceremonies ny at Arling on cemetery on October 4, so we will be home by a few days before that.
Bert, I can’t believe the fridge saga! That is just crazy.
Patti, sounds like some wonderful times at the cabin. You are on a roll on projects, too.
Cindy, hope the day job doesn’t get you down too badly. What is the long term plan at this point?
Janet, sorry your 4th plans didn’t come together. We were in St. Andrews Canada for their Canada day celebrations, and it was a lot of small town fun.
Waving to Paula and Karla. I haven’t seen a recent FB update from Karla but I may have missed it when we had no service. Has anyone heard how Kerry is doing?
Paula I’m sure you are busy with that house. Give those grand babies a hug tight. We had so much fun with Elise at Acadia, but I miss her so much! The first two days there she didn’t want much to do with me. I think she was mad I hadn’t been around.0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. It will be another hot one today. I'm working on the program for Frozen, Jr. and will hopefully have everything designed and ready to print next week. As of right now, I'm planning to travel to Chicago tomorrow to watch Dylan play baseball tomorrow night, and then I'll bring Dylan and Penny back for a few days. I love having them, it's just a busy time with the musical opening on the 19th.
Diane: So good to hear from you. Your traveling sounds great.
Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. Mike is working today. I'm working outside for a little while and then will run errands. Have a great day!
Bert0 -
Hello one and all, still here at the cabin enjoying the sunshine ☀ and 🔥. River was coming up and there was lots of trash floating so boats stayed docked and we did some work projects. My deck is done. The rails and posts will wait till fall. Edd is pouring concrete in his garage which means he had to completely empty it. Thank goodness cuz it was a mess of mostly things that have no use anymore. Neighbors or fixing steak dinner tonight and all I have to bring is salad dressing!
Diane, always a treat to hear from you. I bet Elise misses you so much. Can't wait to see your pictures when service permits.
Bert, thinking hopeful thoughts about the fridge. So hard to imagine you angry. But sometimes it is what it takes. Good luck
Waving 👋 hi to Janet, Cindy and Paula. Hope all is well in your worlds
Patti0 -
Good evening all!
Wrote a long detailed post and lost it uuuggghh
I'll make it short, been MIA. MS has been bad, seeing MS specialist about a baclofen pump to help spasticity in hips and legs tomorrow. The pump will not make me tired or give me the dry mouth that oral meds do.
House is coming along, should be finishing up kitchen and dining room next week. Upstairs only needs carpet laid. Still need windows but we have blown through our budget with all the problems we found so we'll replace them one at a time.
I'll update everyone after my appointment tomorrow to let you know what she recommends for my issues.
Have a great night!
Paula0 -
Hi, everyone.
Paula, sorry your MS has been so horrible lately. Fingers crossed for your doc to get you better help with fewer side effects. Pumps can be a godsend (don't know about muscle-relaxer pumps, but I know how much difference insulin pumps have made for a couple of good friends).
Bert, what happened with the fridge? They ought to be delivering a sparkling new fridge with all the bells and whistles to atone for the mess you've had to live with for so long!
Diane, great to hear from you. Small-town holiday celebrations are the best. Stay safe on the road and enjoy the sights for all of us!
Cindy, I have downloaded "Borrowed" and hope to burrow into it soon.
Patti, hope the bourbon spill aftereffects aren't messing with you. The fishkill here has been painful to see. How's your mom doing?
Karla, hoping your dad's home isn't damaged in the upcoming storm. Do you plan to sell it?
Not quite sure where each day goes, but never a dull moment here. Had a weird event the other day (soon to be rectified). About an hour after I got home on Tuesday, my passenger-side front window spontaneously shattered! There was glass on the garage floor and in the car. My guess is that the extreme heat outdoors and in the garage didn't react well with the "set the AC to 'stun'" setting I needed to use while driving. Truly bizarre. Called my insurance agent and am finally getting someone to come out and replace the window today. So I didn't venture out yesterday - not parking anywhere without a window, and even taping plastic over the opening doesn't seem secure, so at-home time it is! I'm just grateful that it didn't happen while I was driving.
Endocrinologist suggested a very small tweak in my Synthroid dose - hope it helps.
Doorbell - window dude must be here. Later!

Good Morning, Ladies. I'm heading to Chicago today to watch Dylan play ball. I'll return home on Sunday and will be bringing Dylan and Penny back. It will be fun to have them.
Fridge update: Technician came and "verified" the diagnosis. He called it in and said the customer wants a replacement. He told me that we would hear withing 48 hours about the process.....well, 48 hours went by and no contact. (are you shocked?). I called yesterday afternoon, and was told that his supervisor had to approve, and we will be contacted by telephone within 24 hours. I believe that when the phone rings. If they don't call by Monday, I'm calling corporate. I've had enough.
Our luck hasn't been the best this spring and summer. Now we need a new roof! Geez, when will this end? I'm not surprised though as our roof was done 20 years ago, and I know it's time....it's just not the best timing. Also, I'm not happy with my weight, but can't deal with that right now. I'm continuing to eat as healthy as I can, and that's all I can do right now.
Ok, I'm done venting!
Paula: I hope your visit to the specialist for meds was succesful. Glad to hear your house is coming along.
Janet: I hope your Synthroid tweak helps you. What's wrong? I'm with you......never a dull moment.
Waving hi to Diane, Cindy, and Karla. Have a great day, everyone!
Bert0 -
Janet, wow that's crazy about your window. Weird how things happen sometimes. Good luck on your new synthroid dose. Hope you enjoyed your at-home time.
Bert, you sure have been through the ringer with the fridge. You are a much nicer and much more patient person than I am. I've heard horrible things about Sears throughout the years. And now a new roof. Fresh when it rains it pours (no pun intended 🤣)
Well saw MS specialist yesterday, she explained the pump, procedure to place the pump and all the risks involved, told me it's only for the worst possible cases. So didn't approve me but after the stuff she said I wouldn't want it anyway, she scared me into never wanting it. So she is starting me on a second muscle relaxer, very low dose, once a day for a month then will increase to twice a day if I'm tolerating it ok and we'll go from there.
Have a great day!!!0 -
Beautiful day here in paradise... Again. Yesterday was hot and threatening storms all day but none came our way. We basically hung out on the porch and grabbed, stopping only for meals. Edd was the only one hard at work as he was pouring more concrete in his garage. We all needed the down time to get ready for the weekend. I am sti king with portion control since my choices are not all stellar. Scale is hanging with me.
Bert, I can't believe how horrible Sears is being over this fridge. In a company that is suffering you would think they would be bending over backwards to make it right. It is amazing how everything falls apart at the same time. We have been having the same thing with cars lately. Enjoy your kid time in Chicago and at home.
Paula, sounds like you have a very wise Dr. I have rarely seen baclofen pumps used but then I have been out of the biz for a few years. Praying the new Ned helps.
Janet, glad the window did not break when you were in the car. How bizarre! Did the window guy have any insight on what caused it and how to prevent it?
Not sure what today holds. Neighbors are on an early morning boat ride so I am sitting on my swing in my nightie, something I rarely get to do since they live here full time now. Signing off to enjoy my view
Patti0 -
Good morning.
Paula, sounds like the specialist knows her stuff - hope the new muscle relaxer will bring noticeable relief. (My synthroid dose tweak is truly tiny - have now gone from one slightly higher dose five days a week and a lower dose two days a week to the slightly higher dose every day. We need to get TSH down a bit more - recheck in three months. It's amazing how a tiny dosage difference can affect bloodwork.)
Bert, GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! They should be calling you and begging to deliver the new fridge! Sorry about the need for a new roof now, but that's pretty much a non-negotiable. Glad you are getting more Dylan and Penny time - kids make us smile more. Like you, my eating isn't well controlled right now, but sometimes the full-court press just doesn't fit. So we do what we can and know the right time will come - and we'll seize it!
Hi to everyone - car window replacement was installed yesterday with minimal fuss. Must get out and get fresh produce, plus a few more things. Watching Wimbledon while I do morning computer stuff (checking accounts, etc.), then out into the world for a bit.0 -
Well, I finally have a minute or two to check in. My life has been a whirlwind since the second week of June when I brought Kerry and my dad over to live with me. Kerry was on death's door as my dad pretty much ignored his symptoms and was not even making sure he had decent meals inbetween my visits over there. Needless to say I was furious with him and my brother Keith. I was really caught off guard with the depth of my thyroidectomy postoperative care. It was all so much at one time. I was very blessed with all my girlfriends coming to my rescue though. I had them over everyday bringing casseroles and keeping my house clean. I was pretty much stuck in my recliner for two weeks. My neck was HUGE with being swollen from the incision and I was instructed to sleep sitting upright for 7 days, which turned into 14 days. Glenn brought one of the Lazy Boy recliners in from the pool house. This week has been the first week I have had any energy to start clearing out my home from emptying out my office/sewing room.
News on Kerry - thank you for all your concern and continue prayers about him. He is doing well. His oxygen level is staying in the 93-94 range on the pulse oximeter that I check after every treatment. I keep a detailed log of all the meds. I did have to have an ambulance come to the home and take him to the hospital and be admitted a week after he was here. He received excellent care and the Pulmonary Associates office I had already gotten him an appointment set up with, was consulted and sent their respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners and doctors to see him. They are the absolute best. We had an appointment at their office this past Tuesday. He is on Duo Meds for the nebulizer compressor and Anoro powder inhaler and Albuterol rescue inhaler when we go out. When I showed the nurse practioner, Ashley, my log and how I care for him she exclaimed, "wow, can you come to work here?"! lol. I had a list of 11 questions I went over with her. I have Kerry's room fixed up really nice and his exercise bike with upper body arm workout should be delivered next week. That is part of his pulmonary rehab and will help with his lung disease. His memory foam mattress came a couple days ago for his twin size bed in there. He loves the tv on the wall in there too as he hasn't had a tv in his bedroom in years and is a big tv buff.
News on my Dad - dad is in hog heaven with all my plants and greenhouses. He went to horticulture school after retiring from the Air Force. He has six plumeria seeds sprouting and three tomato plants going and 32 Plumeria cuttings going in my green house. LOL.
I am still working from home for the podiatry office as I never went back to the office to train anyone after June 8th when I went over to Panama City and found Kerry in such bad shape. It isn't bad but the doctor really misses me. I'm making about $1500.00 a month for just 2-3 hours every other day.
I have been reading and keeping up on you all when I can. I love been mostly retired and being home. Now that I am not chair bound with my surgery I can get my home in order and really start enjoying it more.
Cindy - I am reading your new book. I have been voting on your cover too. How special that you and Meg got to meet Janet. You all are such wonderful ladies.
Janet - I will be seeing my new Endocrinolgist on August 8th. I am having a lot of twitching in my lips and nose. Is this related? My bloodwork two weeks after my surgery showed everything in the normal range, but you know how that goes. I'm anxious to meet this new female doctor and get this tweaked. I do feel okay and am not having the racing heart anymore. I do see my hair thinning though. uggghhh.
Paula - I agree your doctor seems very wise to avoid that pump. You are very young to go that route. Your new big home sounds so very nice. I know you will enjoy it with your large family.
Diane - What a wonderful time you are having on the road. I saw the pics where Elise and family were with you too. She is growing to a beautiful young girl. So pretty. Glenn is going out to sea trials on a new Navy ship on Monday although we are facing a storm Barry right now. He is enjoying the job so I leave him alone on it. He feels really needed on his expertise.
Bert - This is a perfect example of why Sears is going out of business. They used to be the best place to go for appliances and now they are the worst. I am in the market for a new dishwasher and found an LG I want that has three racks in it. It is over $700 but what the heck. The third rack in a slim rack up top that you put your spatula and long knives in. That's why I like LG, they are innovative.
Patti - you are in your prime at the cabin.
I better do a little billing and then get back in my bedroom and get my sewing table set up in there. Glenn has me two nice closed door closets in the garage for my fabric and notions. As with most seamstress I had tons of fabric!!
Have a great day and weekend. We are facing rains and winds from Tropical Storm Barry, but just a little rain so far. My brother Kevin is coming over tomorrow and staying with my dad and Kerry while Glenn and I go out for date night!!
Karla0 -
Patti, enjoy your quiet time while you can. Yesterday was a scorcher, today humidity is suppose to be better.
Janet,
Glad your window got installed so quickly. Enjoy your day!
Karla, so glad to hear that Kerry is doing better and that your dad is enjoying the greenhouse. Sorry your thyroidectomy too so long to heal up. Funny how different people recover differently. I knew one girl that had it removed on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday. My daughter had her appendix out on a Saturday and by Tuesday she was fine and worked on Wednesday and I know people down for two weeks with same surgery You've been dealing with a lot of stress though, glad everything is coming together for you. So nice of your friends to bring food and clean.
Got up and went to pick up prescriptions and buy a few groceries. Food choices are off the hook though. Not sure why!! Want to try to get down to the house and get kitchen walls mudded and prepped but we'll see how that goes in a bit.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning, Ladies. I made it to Chicago yesterday.....it turned into a 5 hour trip instead of a 4 hour trip due to traffic in the region. Dylan got a double last night! So proud of him. Today we are running errands and possibly play miniature golf at some point. Tomorrow is Dan's birthday, so I'm taking them to breakfast and then I'm bringing Dylan and Penny back with me. Dan and Annie will come down on Thursday and will spend the weekend. Our musical opens on Friday, so it will be a busy week/weekend.
Paula: Sorry to hear about the pump, but glad you are getting a different muscle relaxer.
Janet: Glad you got your window fixed.
Karla: You sure have had a lot on your plate. Glad things are working out.
Patti: Enjoy your time at the cabin.
Waving hi to Diane and Cindy. Have a great day everyone!
Bert0
