Thank you to all who participated in last week’s mini-challenge. I enjoyed reading about the positive traits in all of you.
This week’s mini-challenge is to post each day this week the one step you are taking to be successful this week. Are you going to increase your water intake? Will you accurately measure and weigh your food? Will you increase your exercise?
Today we’re looking for weigh-ins from:
@allietuge – (weighing in tomorrow)
@BJDavidson964
@crystalbarton31 - nice loss!

My hardest thing is my daughter hardly eats her food so I end up eating it (eg. Toast as im on medicine that makes me hungry, plus breastfeeding). Shes below the 10th percentile for her age so shes given a lot of calorie dense foods. Really not sure how to tackle this. Ive been trying for months without success. I sometimes get husband to do and that helps. Im working some of the week but i will try and exercise more in the second half of the week. I figure Im just 1kg over my weight, so my daughters weight is way more important at this stage.1 -

Hey! I had gone off the radar for a couple of days -- I apologize! But that's a nice win!! Unfortunately, I think tomorrow will show that the 2nd week is something altogether different. Ah well, we are in it for the long haul. Keep counting calories, and I've stuck nicely to keto, and my blood sugar is down. just not seeing a change in the scale. We'll know more tomorrow at weigh-in.
Did I exercise for 20 minutes? Yes, but moderate walking... I think I'm going to go back to spin and ellliptical now that i've adjusted to the keto.
Did I stay within my calorie budget? Yes.
Did I keep track of everthing I ate? Yes
Thanks for the motivation, Everybody!1 -

I missed last week's mini challenge but as for this week's, since today makes a year ago I lost my mother in law, I've been really proud that I've pretty much put an end to emotional eating. This week has been tough though. It's hard watching our son grow knowing she only got 4 months with him and he's his dad's first child.
On a brighter note: GO TEAM! We sure knocked it out the park last week!!4 -

@looneycatblue, almost to the 160's!!!! Way to go!!
This week I'm watching my measuring and weighing and making sure things I log are very accurate. Hard to do in a restaurant, but we usually only eat out on Sunday afternoons, so should be easy this week.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes, 75 minutes in the pool (30 minutes pool walking before, 45 minutes aerobics)
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes1 -
Exercise? Yes 20 minutes on the elliptical (moved up a resistance level today too!!) and a 30 minute walk.
Under calorie budget? Yes, I made good use of some of those exercise calories too 😂
Tracked everything? Yes - even had to 'get real' on the dilly bar I was handed when I went to DQ. It was WAY oversized so I counted it as 1.5.
My mini-goal: Tomorrow I want to go into work early so I have time to go to the YMCA before I do my volunteering at 7pm.3 -

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Not with the carbs
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? No, I'm on vacation for 2 weeks with family. I found it hard to calculate macros daily.No scale available .

@carol_shantz , @shewhoismany -- kudos to you both for making significant changes in your lifestyles! Maybe you are tired of helpful hints but thought I'd share something that helped me when I quit smoking anyway. Idle hands were my biggest enemy -- so I put them to work shelling sunflower seeds. Was a bit like PigPen from Charlie Brown with seeds and shells wherever I went but it kept my hands busy and out of trouble.3
