@Cafelelia
Sorry about the issues you're having with your mom. I understand completely. My dad is fiercely independent and doesn't like to ask for help. Glad you were able to find a service for her. Hopefully it will work out ok. Thank you for the virtual hug. Giving you a hug back.

Welcome back! Prayers that your husband gets home quickly and safely.1 -
Friday and Saturday check in
Food: good
Water: not sure but not enough
Exercise: Friday was a rest day, Saturday 40 minutes bodyweight exercises while doing laundry, 15 minute walk around my condo complex by myself and another 15 minute walk around the complex with a couple of neighbors and their furry friends.2 -
Checking in with the team for the first time since I went MIA......
Mom is healing well, we go see an orthopedic surgeon next Friday for some more x rays and to re-evaluate her physical therapy. She can have the sling off now a few times during the day to help with the stiffness but still has to keep the shoulder joint motionless. I will admit that I have not had any self dedication since Mother broke her arm, I have not worried about myself, only worried about getting Mom back healthy. I see by the scale that this will have to change. Back to meal preps, logging food and wiping off 2 weeks of dust off of my spin bike............ Maybe try to get a bit more sleep too! Pretty sure at this point, if I ever lost my Machinist job, I could find a home working with the elderly for home care!
In the mean time, I've turned into some sort of Super Hero Sanitizing Phenom, with only one job, to keep the Corona virus away from my mother. I do not think she could handle it with her present situation. To everyone, keep up the good fight! I'll be checking on you!!!
Current weight 230 lbs (up 5 lbs in 2 weeks)
Made real home cooked Turkey pie for lunch, (Blue ribbon from the Judge! [Mom])
Exercise: Lifted mom (104 lbs) and carried her to the restroom and back (40 ft each way) for a total of 9 times since midnight..... (She pees more often than a 6 week old puppy!)
I see people put water totals on here, water is important and although I usually keep track, today I did not.....
But what I did do was bring a smile to my Mothers face! (Deep down I think she thinks I'm a bit of an idiot!!! lol)12 -

Hi all, sorry to not have posted for a bit. I read the posts on this group everyday soon after waking, but never with enough time to respond and give an update. Although not posting, I am wishing you all the best in these circumstances.
My kids are no off school and nursery for the foreseeable future. All their clubs and grouos have also stopped. They both seem happy about the no school and nursery, but upset about the clubs. They keep asking to go to soft play centre, swimming, theme parks etc - keep telling them that they are all closed, but think it may take a while for them to fully understand how much life is going to change.
Spent some time at the allotment yesterday, and popped out briefly to pick up some seeds that I am missing. Don't think if they decide to "lockdown" that I wouldn't be able to go to the allotment - I'm not socialising with other people, and like a grocery store I will be getting food to take home (yesterday was picking purple sprouting broccoli and kale, today will pick rainbow chard and leeks). Will head up there later to plant broad bean seeds to get things kicking off for this season!
Food wise - generally Ok, but really fancied a takeaway on Thursday evening and totally over did it - and then left overs the next day for lunch. Put on 3lb overnight and still trying to get it back down. Hoping I succeed before Wednesday weigh in!
Steps have not been too great this week:
Sunday 1895 🙈(tracker did run out of battery at some point though...)

Tuesday 9,150
Wednesday 6,273
Thursday 4,526

My heart goes out to everyone. Thankful for all the posts from our group. They make me laugh (superhero), sigh at cuteness, (doggie kitty kids photos), drool over food photos and generally make me feel like we are family. This has become about so much more than weight loss. Kudos to those still sticking to it! Prayers for sick peeps.
I was up Friday at 5:30 baking strawberry muffins for team mates, and up early yesterday making cinnamon rolls. I came home yesterday and took a 2 hour nap. Wiped out.
Today we are doing day 5 walking to finish the first week of our program. I’m going to start back on yoga. I desperately need it.
@1theresamcvean I will be happy to post pictures when I cook my next artichokes this week.
Today’s to do: at home pedicure, walk 15 minutes, yoga, nap, cook Mexican food and bake a lemon cake.
Lula Mae needs to lose weight. She is only 3 and has never enjoyed walks much. She despises going up hills. But Molly and I are determined to get back in shape and “loo boo” is part of the 12 week package deal.
The only reason we got a dog was for me to have a running companion. Not happening. Molly says she is a “therapy” dog. She has brought incredible joy and comfort to my parents. They adore her. Everyone adores her. Maybe someday we will get another dog.
Hope your all finding ways to cope. I broke down in tears twice yesterday. Fear, anxiety, concerns for myself, my family, my team mates. I still hear people in denial not taking proper precautions . It feels like a dreadful waiting game waiting to see who’s going to die. I’m feeling so vulnerable. Especially with nervousness about the old folks. Overall they are in good spirits. One day at a time.
My strengths are cleaning, organizing, cooking and baking. So that’s what I’m doing.
Molly did 2 grocery runs this weekend. Trying to think what we need to be prepared.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone!5 -
Made a green Spring pasta with peas. Next day used Rao’s marinara on left over orecchiette and topped it with left over green pasta. My heart beats with love!
Last night Chinese walnut tofu with green beans and brown rice.
Those candied walnuts were dangerous. Hard to stop eating them. As they were cooling I popped one in my mouth. 5 more followed.
Going to weigh this morning to make sure I’m still on track.4 -
Brisk chilly 20 minutes walk done! Making oatmeal topped with organic strawberries1

I woke up feeling better but once I ate, started not feeling well again. Guess it will be another rest day for me. No worries, not coronavirus, this is a stomach virus. I have a headache and feel run down too. Jim is still not feeling better. Hopefully he will be turning the corner soon and feeling better.
@ljdanny I don't know how I missed your post last night. I totally forgot your hair was magenta! I hope you can get into your zumba class online. I don't know how to do that stuff either lol! Shannon was telling me a woman my age is in her online class and doesn't realize her video is on during class. She said she even had a bag of chips that she was dumping into her mouth at one point. Shannon doesn't want to embarrass her. I told her she has to let her know. That lady would be me lol!
@tryingagain5 I am glad that you are able to purchase extra data. It is important to stay connected during this time. Sounds like you got a good workout in on Saturday.
@KUMEcyclingteam Omg! Lol! You crack me up! I am sure having you around keeps your Mom in good spirits! What is turkey pie? That sounds good. Sounds like you are getting a good workout in too! With all the water I drink, I may have your mother beat with the bathroom trips.
@Freeglerock I am glad that you were able to check in. I know it is hard now a days, especially with little ones to care for. I know it is hard for them, especially since they can't understand what is going on. I don't know what would happen with the allotment if you shut down, it needs to be tended to so I would hope they would still let you go. Hang in there. Hugs
@Mrsbell8well It is a tough time and eventually it catches up with all of us. Sounds like you are doing what you do best to get you and your family through this. Hugs!

I've had a couple of not so great days eating and drinking. (Fun, but very irresponsible).
Back on the wagon so to speak today. Hubs just made us southwestern omelettes, which will probably keep me full until dinner, which is salad and rotisserie chicken.
Saturday Steps: 8,045 - I did it! I did a full week of 8,000 + steps per day. Total for the week: 61,977 steps.
This week's goals: 60+ oz water per day; Measure and log all food.3 -
Keep up the good work!!!1

Congratulations to @Cassiegetsfit14, @freeglerock and @Fi45 for placing at the top or our team for weight loss this week!! Congratulations to @CassieGetsFit2013 and @freeblerock for making the F2F honorable mentions!
We are all winners for showing up now more than ever!8 -
Hi everyone!
Yesterday was a good day. I stuck to my plan (which included 2 small glasses of wine for home date night), I went for a nice run and I drank my 2l of water. I also avoided endlessly catching up on news and just let myself do that for 30 minutes in the late afternoon. My sleep quality still could be better and I am working on it. I am getting ready for the “school week” coming up. I have lessons mapped out for the week and my husband organized more online activities for our boys. A hockey coach is offering 30 minutes of dry land training at a reasonable cost, so we booked each of our boys for that several times this week. The boys take piano lessons at a local music school, which has been struggling to stay afloat. All of the families agreed to moving regular lessons to an online portal, so can continue to study and the school has been saved! We are also trying really hard to support local businesses that are still open.
@GingerPwr - We all need some fun days right now. Great that you are back on the wagon & great steps this week!
@sleepymom5 - I am so sorry that you and Jim are both sick, and hope that you feel better really soon!
@mrsbell9well - We are all having those times of anxiety right now. Really good that you are focusing on what you can do like the cleaning, organizing, cooking and baking. Your food looks so yummy!
@Freeglerock - It is really hard for the kids to get their heads around this. My kids ask me several times a day when they can resume their activities again. That is so great that you can still work on the allotment and those fresh veggies will be all the more appreciated during these uncertain times.
@kumecyclingteam - You are hilarious! Hope that your mom is recovering well and please try to find the time to take care of yourself too.
@tryingagain5 - Really impressive how you have go on board with an alternate workout schedule so quickly. Getting that extra data is a good idea as so many activities and services have moved online now. It is a good way to stay in touch with those things.
@ljdanny - Hope that you were able to get online and do your Zumba class this morning!
@nstephenson01 - Your fur babies are adorable!
@xX_PhoenixRising_Xx - Nice loss!
@kirsten11872 - I had a similar gain this week. For me, I was just moving less and missed some workouts. We can both get focused again this week, so let’s go!

Not a very big loss, but it IS a loss either way AND last week, I lost 4.6lbs. I guess I shouldn't have any reason to complain then with a 5lb loss for the month of March and still might have a loss for the last weigh in for this month. But will my next weigh in be week 5 or week 1 for April? It's hard for me to remember since my weigh ins are on Sundays, lol. Hope everyone is doing good, I love you all! 😋🥰7
