I would like to know, for those with more weight on, what kind of shoes do you use for sport? And to walk long distance?

I swear by my Brooks. I paid a lot for them but it made walking much easier.

    Hello!

I'm Jen, 50 yrs old, three amazing adult children and two adorable grand babies with one on the way :) I have two silly rescued pit bulls and volunteer with several rescues in the area. I love all animals and nature. My kids call me a hippy dippy lol. I live on the coast in Virginia and love gardening, running, biking, lifting weights and yoga. And of course being on/in the water:)

Looking forward to making this journey with you all! I started in October at 224 pounds and am down to 162.4 as of now. Let's do this!

@lindamtuck2018 what part of Scotland were you going to. We live an hours drive from the border and going up to Scotland for the weekend for my husbands birthday. We are not allowed to see family or friends at the moment so need something to look forward to

I was going to St. Andrews! My calendar keeps giving me reminders of the flight.

My family live near there at Cupar. Hopefully you will get there soon

I just was taking to my daughter. They used to live in Cupar.

    Check in for 10/4
    Steps: 864
    Calories: 1252 (134 remaining)
    Water: 86.4 oz
    Rings: all closed
    C25K: 1of 3 workouts complete

I keep losing and gaining the same 0.5 - 0.75 pounds. I am going to trust the process and keep on task but I am so close to the 20lb mark and getting frustrated. I decided to go back to posting my daily goals to keep me more accountable.

@lindamtuck2018 - I’m sorry that you are missing your big trip. Just keep thinking about how fit and healthy you will be when things open back up to help with those binges.

I wear Brooks too... I like the Launch and Levitate, but I just bought a pair of New Balance Fuel Cell Propel for a lot less and they are very supportive and awesome!

    How annoying is that?
But most of the times, when we are following consistency, one they we finally drop a lot

Sorry I am late in introducing myself. My name is Stephanie and in a couple of days I will be 44. My 24 year old son moved back home so food has been not so healthy. My passion is my dogs and hiking. My husband and I have done the Bataan Memorial Death March and have a passion for teaching people about it. I am looking forward to getting control over my weight and eating habits again.

Sorry I'm a bit late in introducing myself. I'm Jessica, I'm 29 years old, and I'm from Michigan. I'm recently engaged, which is helping me keep on track (for the most part) on trying to lose this weight. I'm attempting to get into weights, but think I'm going to stick to some bodyweight exercises for now. The weekends are the absolute hardest for me. Usually I have my long hike then (10+ miles), so it doesn't harm me as much as it could. This month, I'm working on bringing it under control, maybe with making Fridays at maintenance and Saturdays going over a bit more since those are my hiking days. Just gotta make the changes slowly.

Today, I did W1D3 of C25K. I've kept within my caloric limits. Tomorrow, I'm going to try and get up early to do an ab workout.

For the person who asked about shoes, as others have said, Brooks. I love my Brooks, and they are so worth the price. I also hike in Oboz boots, and turned one of my hiker friends onto them, and she took some of their lighter hiking boots and use them even for walking and working in.

I just started C25K and did W1D2 today. We can be C25K buddies

I got lost! I am back.. haha
No seriously, had trouble getting to my computer the last few days and I have the threads bookmarked. I had no idea how to find them on my phone to update.

Since we changed my weigh-in to Fridays, I think I missed October 2? If so... it was

To those who don't know me, I joined this group last month and found it very helpful in me staying on task.
I am a mom of 4, basically adult children. Youngest will be 18 in December.
Grandma of 5 grand daughters and 1 grand son.
I will be 50 in November and decided better late then never to get healthy. So as well as doing the weight-loss journey, I am currently working on quitting smoking. I haven't went a week yet without cheating so can't say I quit smoking yet.

Please feel free to friend me on here if you would like. I enjoy getting to know others on the same journey as me.

    Calories: over
Exercise : nope - had a bonfire with 2 friends over tonight because I have to take advantage of the fairly warm weather before the snow flies.
    Water : good
    Steps: 5, 6009
Can I change my weigh in day? New weigh in day is Saturday.
CW 196 (please change this - I thought I was thinner...)

I worked hard all day for my job. Two friends came over and stayed 6 feet apart in the backyard with a outdoor heater and a bonfire going. I didn't exercise, but it was a lovely visit. Tomorrow will be better! My water intake was good, so there's that!
