Not too disappointed in this, considering the holidays - Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!! Can't wait to enjoy my holiday meal today.5 -
Merry Christmas everyone! I haven’t been too strict, enjoying myself somewhat responsibly and that’s good by me.

This weigh in was brought to you by cookies, cookies, gum drops, chocolate, ice cream, salty food, a looming time of the month...and even more cookies. Son of a @#!÷&.
Well that was not a fun number to see but not a shock by any means. I have been enjoying the sugar a little too much. Even days I am within my calorie are still little gains. Not used to all the sugar! Hopefully it slides off when it's business as usual starting this Saturday.
@micki48 Glad you and hubby are negative! Is your SIL false positive 🤔 It's amazing the rest of you are okay. Decisions, decisions ...tough spot for you my dear. Hugs!
Today is baking more cookies. Sugar cookies and chocolate chip. Then a double feature. Charlie Brown Christmas and Polar Express. The kids sprinkle magic reindeer food outside and ring bells before heading to bed. Should be a fun day!
Merry Christmas friends ❤
I am 100% confident you will take care of that number!!! You rock. My son in law is definitely positive. Mild symptoms, but positive. We just got lucky. We will be done with isolation on Tuesday so that is when we are planning to have Christmas dinner together and open presents. Just got off facetime watching Juliet open presents. Thank God for technology. It felt like we were there pretty much.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!!! Cookies for breakfast is a tradition, so I'll probably have at least one. I am also not use to so much sugar so I think I am just about done with it. It's the idea of diminishing returns. They are so good at first and then the more you eat, not so much. I guess the idea is take a bite, savor it, take a bite later.
LOL I did take a bite of a very sweet toffee bar that I made and spit it in the trash. LOL It was nothing but sweetness, rather than the wonderful taste of toffee and it wasn't worth it to me to eat those calories. So out it went. Sorry if TMI. I just thought it was funny.
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy the moments.5 -

Merry Christmas! The turkey is in the oven and we were gifted some coffee cream filled, chocolate covered rice krispie treats from a local fancy bakery that I can't stop eating. XD
I got spoiled absolutely rotten this year as usual. Talked to my dad and grandma. Now we're chilling with Mario Party because whats the holidays without a little rage?5 -
cookies for breakfast but I didn't abuse it. Saving some room for another traditional dessert and going to go for a walk in the rain...as my mum would tell me, I'm not made of sugar...I won't melt. and it's a nice sixty degrees out there....that whole foot of snow is gone!3

Merry Christmas to everyone! Had a fun morning opening up gifts with the kids. Then spent a bunch of time opening and assembling toys and cleaning up the wrapping. Went for a walk with my husband in the woods and found a new plant we haven't noticed before called little prince's pine. Relaxing until dinner and then having crab legs! Have a great day everyone!3

It sounds like everyone is having a good day, and the weigh-ins are pretty danged good, I'd say! I stepped on the scale this morning expecting to have passed my upper maintenance limit, but squeaked in 0.4 pound under. I still can't quite believe that, but I'll take it! It's a gain, but nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.
I'm getting to the point like @micki48 when the special goodies just don't taste as good as they did a few days ago, so I think the week planning and then getting somewhat more strict for a while will feel great.
Crab legs - @conleywoods -- now that sounds good!4 -
I agree. Crab legs sound magnificent and so low calorie. Almost doesn't seem possible.1

@micki48 Gosh it sounds like such a stressful time for you, but I am really glad to hear you are all OK and also that you will get to have a Christmas just a bit later than planned.
I had a lovely day yesterday, cosy at home with my fiance rather than my usual manic family Christmases but it was actually really nice just the two of us! I'm not watching calories too closely (it is also my birthday in a few days!) but am happy that I haven't had a gain this time
Hope you are all enjoying your celebrations!4 -
hurray, on the other side of that holiday. I'd bought more citron thinking to bake more stollen but I am going to stick it in the freezer for next year. I don't need that temptation.3
-
Ugh. I just wrote a long post and hit done instead of post! I wish MFP had never added that feature!
It sounds like everyone had a lovely Christmas. I am impressed with all the losses. I am currently up 3lbs but as @terytha said, it won't stick. As also mentioned above, I am pretty much over the sweets and ready for some yummy, healthy meals!5 -
@micki48 I just want to add, I missed the post about the SIL. I am glad you all are healthy. My mother in law had to do a video call to watch the kids open their gifts, too.3
-
Ready for this? I ate easily 3-4000 calories yesterday. I ate so much its 10 am the next day and I'm still full!
CW: 167.6
That's it. I went up a couple pounds. Probably mostly water and possibly undigested food. You don't even know. I ate. So. Much. And didn't barely dent my 108 lbs lost.
I'll be back to normal mid-January. I'm continuing my diet break until after New Years after all.
I got a Garmin Venu for Xmas so I'll be testing it out with some cardio today.
Update: I love my Venu! It's so good.5 -
I weighed myself on Christmas morning and again at bedtime and the difference was a staggering 8lbs! Food can be so wonderful, and so evil. I've got most of the cravings out of my system so once leftovers are gone, I should be able to reset my limits... Here's hoping!
Any suggestions for new years appetizers?6 -
Greetings Team!
Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas 🎄
I deliberately avoided most social media and neither logged nor weighed myself yesterday (nor today, now that I think of it) .
I started on my new planner today too - I am going to have so much fun with it. It's exactly what I need.
So Ben and I had a lovely Christmas together yesterday. We did Facetime with my mum in London and our son in Virginia. We also spent time socially distanced with our next door neighbours drinking mulled wine in theafternoon, huddled in blankets in the garden.
I must admit, I am enjoying the down time. But I am looking forward to January 1st and new beginnings.
Weigh in tomorrow and it won't be nice. But I'll take it, whatever it is.
Ta ta!4 -

My favorite is bacon wrapped water chestnuts. You drain a can of whole water chestnuts and soak them in soy sauce for half an hour. Then wrap them in a bit of bacon, secure with a toothpick, put on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven at 400 until the bacon is cooked, about 20 minutes. I can usually cut one strip of bacon into thirds.
Also easy is to chop up garlic sausage, quickly pan fry them and pair them with chunks of cheeses.
Also store bought frozen mozzarella sticks.3 -

Hey, I’ll take that!! 🙂
Staying quarantined. Staying safe. I am missing my sweet little granddaughter so much. Can’t wait to see them again.
Yesterday had stress and tears. I never ate dinner. Just breakfast and a good part of a cheese plate. I guess all in all, I ate ok. At least the scale was nice. I have only had one cookie all day, so far. 😉 Made some delicious corn chowder this morning. I will eat it until it’s gone.
Hope your day has been good. Oh I did do 27 minutes of Pilates yesterday. It was hard but good. I need to make it (and me) a priority. It’s so good for me.

Today was a nice day and I felt like I was back on track. No cookies today. Everyone is pretty over cookies so I threw the last 4 away and bagged up the candy and threw it in the cupboard. Did a little over an hour of ballet beautiful. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables today. I made chicken noodle soup and granola. Drank lots of water and I am ready to see the scale go down. I really need to work on eating more protein. I tend to get between 14%-20% protein a day. I will start by eating over 20% 5 days a week .
@Terytha I have a garmin watch too and love it so much. They are so pretty with fun features too! Enjoy
@micki48 Hugs to you and take care. So sorry Christmas didn't go as planned 😢 Hang in there ❤4 -

We had a great, quiet, low key holiday. It was nice. I did not track at all Thursday or Friday. Back on track today and I worked today so my steps were great.
I got an air fryer for Christmas and made seasoned zuchini wedges in it to have with dinner. They were yummy. If anyone has any favorite meals or even snacks to make in the air fryer, please share!5 -

Eggnog is indeed one of those things. Good thing it is not around the rest of the year!
@MandiSaysHey
I'm jealous of your air fryer! I almost got one for myself, but opted for a spiffy new skillet from Denmark instead. It is fabulous Have fun with your gadget, though - they look amazing.
@conleywoods
Look at you so far ahead of the curve! This week we will all work to catch up to you and start getting back on track - thanks for leading the way - tally HO!1
