cookies for breakfast but I didn't abuse it. Saving some room for another traditional dessert and going to go for a walk in the rain...as my mum would tell me, I'm not made of sugar...I won't melt. and it's a nice sixty degrees out there....that whole foot of snow is gone!

Merry Christmas to everyone! Had a fun morning opening up gifts with the kids. Then spent a bunch of time opening and assembling toys and cleaning up the wrapping. Went for a walk with my husband in the woods and found a new plant we haven't noticed before called little prince's pine. Relaxing until dinner and then having crab legs! Have a great day everyone!

It sounds like everyone is having a good day, and the weigh-ins are pretty danged good, I'd say! I stepped on the scale this morning expecting to have passed my upper maintenance limit, but squeaked in 0.4 pound under. I still can't quite believe that, but I'll take it! It's a gain, but nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.

I'm getting to the point like @micki48 when the special goodies just don't taste as good as they did a few days ago, so I think the week planning and then getting somewhat more strict for a while will feel great.

Crab legs - @conleywoods -- now that sounds good!

I agree. Crab legs sound magnificent and so low calorie. Almost doesn't seem possible. :)

@micki48 Gosh it sounds like such a stressful time for you, but I am really glad to hear you are all OK and also that you will get to have a Christmas just a bit later than planned.

I had a lovely day yesterday, cosy at home with my fiance rather than my usual manic family Christmases but it was actually really nice just the two of us! I'm not watching calories too closely (it is also my birthday in a few days!) but am happy that I haven't had a gain this time :)

Hope you are all enjoying your celebrations!

hurray, on the other side of that holiday. I'd bought more citron thinking to bake more stollen but I am going to stick it in the freezer for next year. I don't need that temptation.

@micki48 I just want to add, I missed the post about the SIL. I am glad you all are healthy. My mother in law had to do a video call to watch the kids open their gifts, too.

    Greetings Team!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas 🎄

I deliberately avoided most social media and neither logged nor weighed myself yesterday (nor today, now that I think of it) .

I started on my new planner today too - I am going to have so much fun with it. It's exactly what I need.

So Ben and I had a lovely Christmas together yesterday. We did Facetime with my mum in London and our son in Virginia. We also spent time socially distanced with our next door neighbours drinking mulled wine in theafternoon, huddled in blankets in the garden.

I must admit, I am enjoying the down time. But I am looking forward to January 1st and new beginnings.

Weigh in tomorrow and it won't be nice. But I'll take it, whatever it is.

    Ta ta!

Any suggestions for new years appetizers?

My favorite is bacon wrapped water chestnuts. You drain a can of whole water chestnuts and soak them in soy sauce for half an hour. Then wrap them in a bit of bacon, secure with a toothpick, put on a baking sheet and pop them in the oven at 400 until the bacon is cooked, about 20 minutes. I can usually cut one strip of bacon into thirds.

Also easy is to chop up garlic sausage, quickly pan fry them and pair them with chunks of cheeses.

Also store bought frozen mozzarella sticks.

Today was a nice day and I felt like I was back on track. No cookies today. Everyone is pretty over cookies so I threw the last 4 away and bagged up the candy and threw it in the cupboard. Did a little over an hour of ballet beautiful. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables today. I made chicken noodle soup and granola. Drank lots of water and I am ready to see the scale go down. I really need to work on eating more protein. I tend to get between 14%-20% protein a day. I will start by eating over 20% 5 days a week .

@Terytha I have a garmin watch too and love it so much. They are so pretty with fun features too! Enjoy

@micki48 Hugs to you and take care. So sorry Christmas didn't go as planned 😢 Hang in there ❤

Eggnog is indeed one of those things. Good thing it is not around the rest of the year!

I'm jealous of your air fryer! I almost got one for myself, but opted for a spiffy new skillet from Denmark instead. It is fabulous  Have fun with your gadget, though - they look amazing.

    @conleywoods
Look at you so far ahead of the curve! This week we will all work to catch up to you and start getting back on track - thanks for leading the way - tally HO!
