Steps 2360
So I did really well at the party. I chose to eat a chicken sausage with mustard and a pickle, and 3 of her homemade pinwheels. I passed up chips, cookies, stuffed jalapenos, hotdogs, beer brats and chose not to use a bun. Pretty proud of myself. As far as alcohol goes, I had one jello shot that I was asked to take as part of a group, and left everything else alone.9 -
Whoooo HOOoooo! Way to Go Team! 😃😎
I was dropping in to see how everyone was doing on our 22nd Consecutive Sunday Fast... Wasn't expecting that!!! Zip-Zip-Zowie!!!6 -

That's great! I'm wondering how things will fair when alcohol is introduced when the BBQ season starts up post covid restrictions. I'm not ruling out alcohol. I can certainly work it in to my day, and let me hair down a bit, I'm more concerned on how it may effect bad decisions that evening, and potentially the next morning, If I'm feeling like crap....

Yes, please keep me in your step challenge. That's the only way I'm going to be able to complete a mini-Megan. Seeing Linda's increase in her step goal, made me realize I should increase mine too. Please increase my goal to 11,000.
You are showing us how maintenance is done right. Great job increasing those steps!888Angie888 wrote: »Steps 6/26: 20,218

Yeah you did (really well at the party). You passed on quite a bit of triggering foods and drinks. Plus, you tracked everything AND stayed under your calorie budget, while getting in quite a bit of water (slosh slosh) and steps around the party 👏🏻👏🏻 That would be a huge win in my book🤩

Clearly my Fitbit died yesterday. I went down to cape cop Friday afternoon with my girl friends for some much needed time away. Lots of food and drinks but just what I needed. I did my workout Friday am before I left.
Terrific steps, well over nine thousand 👏🏻👏🏻 Oh no, did you phone at least capture some of it? That sounds so lovely, Cape Cod with the girls. Pretty impressive getting your workout in before you left👏🏻👏🏻

You are doing great with the bike riding and walk ... last 3 days have been over 20,000 so well done .... I started out very slow and just said 1 more mile each day .... I had to work up to 10 miles ..then with my foot problems and hernia surgeries I thought it would take me awhile to work up to it again...but I pushed myself of course I haven't quite reached 10 miles but I am happy with my progress4 -
Steps- 11,000 ✅
Seltzer- 8 cups 👎 only five cups
Tracked everything ate and drank ✅
Under calorie budget ✅
@Megan_smartiepants1970
Thank you, I appreciate you saying that. It's incredible how you walk with the pain in your feet and then of course after having surgery. I'm glad you're happy with your progress, you're doing phenomenally well!!
Steps are you sitting down? I know I am, and I may just sleep here because I don't want to move. 25,300!! I know! Ok, so this is what happened. Woke up later then I wanted, again, no time for coffee, again. Walked for almost four miles while waiting for hubby this morning. I was getting ready to come back home and drain a pot of coffee, when I received his text saying he'd meet me outside in five minutes. I have the devil on my shoulder saying, "I'm done. I'm tired. My hips are hurting and lower back feeling strain." I have the angel on my shoulder pleading with me, "You've been wanting him to exercise since you've been together (over two decades). Now he's coming and you want to go inside?" He comes outside, we start walking and talking, we get to the area that we usually turn around to make our way back home (it's usually a 5k loop) and, are you ready for this? He say's, " Let's go a bit further." We get there. " Just a bit more." We get there. "I wonder if we can make it to the next crosswalk." We get there. "You know we could try to get to the far cross walk." In my mind, I'm saying "who is this guy? where is my husband?" We FINALLY get all the way to the far cross walk (3 miles away from home) and all I'm thinking is "where are all of the shared scooters and shared bikes, so we don't have to walk home?" Now, I've already walked seven miles and we still have three more miles to walk home 😆. I was thinking, how do these amazing Downsizers do this? I just want my couch and my coffee. That's when the sun hid behind a cloud, there was a sudden strong breeze coming off the water and we somehow made it back home. I'm so proud of hubby. He walked about six miles! SIX! Ok, so we are now home. Finally. I'm making a pot of coffee, when my boy came up to me and said, "Mommy, you know what we should do today? Go mini golfing." 🤣

Y’all’s stories are always so inspiring!!! Y’all just keep going and going and going.
Whether it’s @Tazaria87 avoiding delicious-sounding food at a party, @Poobah1972 doibg the fast, @TheresaM787 doing major steps by herself AND with hubby, or everyone else just getting their steps in - y’all are amazing and so inspiring!
I may not respond to all posts individually like most of y’all, but I do read them, and sit back thinking y’all are rockstars!
Today I had a stressful day, full of anxiety, and when that happens I usually can’t eat because my stomach hurts. I’ve learned that the best way I can get relief is by moving. I walked around my neighborhood, with and without the dog, and then went to the park to walk and just sit on a park bench to get fresh air, quiet time, and clear my head. I spoke to my therapist, and a friend, which all helped. Toward the end of the day, I was able to get some closure, and finally calm down. I feel so much better. I’m also proud to say that I didn’t have a panic attack NOR did I have to take my emergency “calm down” medicine. I’m suuuuper proud of both of those! I think I’ll consider those my NSVs for the day.
Between all of that I got 6,700 steps. I think that’s pretty good considering Sundays are usually lazy days where I don’t do anything. Anxiety…it’s a doozy!9 -

Very impressive Theresa! I don’t know how you all do it. I walked for 34 minutes with my granddaughter this morning and I am embarrassed to say I have been in tears most of the night. My entire days mileage is 3 miles and you walked over 10 miles and went mini golfing! 😮 Keep walking together as you guys are helping each other stay stronger as you get older and to age gracefully. Now go soak those feet so you are ready for your 10 miles tomorrow. 👣 Seriously, do this while you can and be proud of each mile you walk. Be proud of your husband but take some credit that you have encouraged him to start walking and you are his biggest cheerleader. 📣 ✋ 👏5 -

Today was a good day...started with breakfast after church...this is the only day I eat before noon...stayed low carb!
Dinner was made by my dad and we had meatloaf with broccoli and cauliflower casserole.
Tomorrow is my first weigh in with the group....little nervous but I haven't been able to get back on tract like I've wanted..however I did go to the grocery and got some healthy things...
To be continued tomorrow 🥴
