@gamommy2 The "jogging" part sounds encouraging! Your injury must be healing nicely!

I found some boots yesterday, two pairs actually, but I ended up in a small town about 45 minutes away, as opposed to the north end of the big city! A much more enjoyable drive and experience and price!! A few more errands today. Even though I am not logging food currently, I need to start making better choices. I do not want to get on a plane feeling bloated because I have been eating crap!!

    Official Hello to Tbbt team!
A short bit about me and then a bit of history of why I am here... I'm Shawnee, wife and mom to 3 kiddos..  haha no real kiddo left baby in college now. First semester empty nester here so that is taking some getting used to.  Middle one is college athlete for a 5th  (bonus) season so this fall is cherishing that travel for games for the very last time.  Thankful that it didnt end in the COVID shortened season. My girl is out and about so visits are for fun .. or for doing laundry! Haha. I've got one grand kitty and one grand pup... oh and this dang grand fish from 2017 high school environmental science that seems to love hanging with me!

I was here several years ago and did pretty well..  I left here at 214... then got down to 199 (ONEderland!!) In Aug 2020.
Then had my surgery on my knee.  Non weight bearing for 6 weeks and then a covid quarantine for another month set me back on pt and healing was long on slow. I watched my weight go up and knowing I could not cardio my calories away, started getting bummed out... which meant for me snacks at night binging tv shows.  Finally got the go ahead to start walking and really all clear in July 21.. got youngest settled at college mid Aug and got a couple walks in, and finally got my courage to go back on treadmill... and a week later had a calf strain pops out of nowhere and an instant can't walk.  Had to cancel a vacation and got bummed... that lead to my old habit... snacks and tv. While my bp was doing alright and blood work was mostly okay, that scale was like the Price is Right mountainclimber quick and wouldnt stop. So Oct 1 I hit stop before I fell off that cliff!  Logged back in here and found this group.  Trying to get used to logging again and am going to try that accountability for the team soon.

Sorry to have to start out this weigh with a gain.  I picked Wed weigh in as I usually have a long workday that day and then have a swollen knee so know I carry extra weight.  This week I worked Tuesday so you can guess... I was 225.2 Tuesday morning but Wed weigh in was not so nice. This morning it was back down a bit but not Tuesdays weight yet.  Oh well.  I know what needs done.. just have to find new ways to do it.

    Week 1 Weigh In:
    Oct SW: 173.5
    Current: 168.0

I'm expecting this number to change a little in the coming days with TOM around the corner! Plus, a majority of this is water weight, and will balance itself out soon enough. I'm happy with it and will take it after finally finding a little more focus!

@cmhubbard92 That first weigh-in after really getting back into it is always a pleasant one! Ride the wave as long as you can, and well done!

    PW: 143.3

It's up but I totally expected it to be worse so I'm good.

Visiting my son in Seattle this weekend so my food choices will probably not be the best but if you have ever walked around that city you know I'll get my exercise in. Lots of hills!

@DaffyGirl88 Have a wonderful time in Seattle with your son! Never been, but my husband and I were just talking about the Kracken last night, so I can see us taking in a hockey game there at some point!!

@HASWLRS You're trip is just a few days away. I'm so excited for you! I'm glad you were able to find boots that you were looking for. Getting to buy a few new pieces of clothing for a trip is nice but can almost be the most stressful part. I'm sure your son is excited for you to visit, too. While I know it is probably tough for him to be so far away, at least it gives you an excuse to travel.

@brandi-84 For sure it is the excuse... I can tell you that we would not be travelling to Europe right now if it weren't for our son being there!
