It has been tough since I have been working a bit more at my second job. Too many hours sitting. I did a 24 hour blood pressure monitoring thing for the clinical trial I am participating in. Boy, did it disrupt my sleep! I find it more difficult to stay away from snacks and fast food when I am tired. Going to try to get to the gym this weekend. I am five pounds heavier from the summer. 😑 Winter weight, begone!

In terms of numbers, this doesn't look good on paper. Step goal completely off the goal. Weight up 2.5 pounds. However, I am putting in the extra strength/weight training for the savage race, and I have upped the cardio quite a bit. I'm drinking A WHOLE LOT MORE water. So even though the numbers aren't great, I feel stronger, and I have increased my running distance. These numbers will get more in line once race day approaches. 35 days and counting...5 -

Six weeks to Cancun and I would like to be under 200 by then. we’ll see, I am very good at sabotaging myself when I get close to a goal 😞.
I am very happy with this weeks weigh in as I had a heavy weekend in Memphis and it lasted longer than I planned.
I've got a trip in about 6 weeks too. Let's support one another. I also tend to self sabatoge at the end. How are you setting yourself up for success for the coming week? I've out 3 trips to the gym on my calendar for next week.
I’m in! I have to tell you I felt a slight twinge of guilt that I don’t have an action plan for this week and then I remembered I have done a menu plan and shopped for supplies for the week already. I haven’t any activity planned so I will match your 3 trips to the gym and will post here when completed.
You are so on it! I haven't done menu planning yet but that's on my list for tomorrow. Just got back from a walk in the park with the dog and my daughter. Movement for today - check!4 -
Great news blast, people - thanks! I love all the vacation news and warm fuzzies @bowens1973 - I know you two have been having a fabulous time, and even though you may have picked up a few pounds, you also did so many amazing outdoor, active things. I have every confidence that the both of you will get right back on it and make March a totally winning month for the WaistAways!
There's a team challenge we could do in March. It would help us all cheer the post-vacationers on, and get the pre-vacationers (and all the rest of us!) on a good losing streak. In honour of Saint Patrick's Day (or for any other reason that has prominent green about it ) let's all try for a solid green March. That means a loss, however small, every single week. Everyone. I want it to be SO difficult to post the results at the end of March because SO many people will have all five weeks "in the green".
if you're not sure what "in the green" is, go check the spreadsheet -
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cG-qE7UiBkCfP2wXD8gdVkRP70PmEsxk3_T3aa2nZxs/edit?usp=sharing
Scroll to the right, and you'll see the "weeks in the green" chart. This counts every week that you lose some weight, and it's green for the simple reason that the loss numbers show up in green. We like green. I think it would great to aim for just tons of that green stuff in March. Otherwise, Brad and Ashley are going to show us up something terrible! We don't want them to lose alone, now do we?
I love your pact @adrimango and @LoraineGB - Your planning inspiration will help with all this greenness! Planning and logging - two of the best tools for hammering out those losses.
On we go!5 -

@bowens1973 those are some great pictures! That is so neat you got to see a sloth and watch dolphins from the boat!
@jugar I am in for the green March. I don't think I have had a full month of green yet since joining, but March will be it!
I have had a decent week so far. Today I may have overindulged in some margaritas, but it was good to catch up with a friend. Tomorrow will be a gym day since I didn't get there today.
Work has been slightly more stressful this past week and had more last minute lunch meetings. Why do they want to interrupt my me time during lunch? And they are changing our templates at work which will really be interesting to see how it goes. Some people have mentioned leaving, so I wonder how long it will stick...
I can't believe February is more than halfway over! Time just seems to be flying!4 -

Sorry to give the group an increase. I’ve definitely been overeating emotionally this week…more than usual. My best friend (we met at a spa where we both worked in 2002), originally from England, died a week ago. She was superbly stubborn and wanted nothing to do with her 80-year old body that was suddenly disintegrating so, she had a few days of multiple strokes and leapt from this mortal coil. I’m glad for her she was able to avoid months of medical treatments even though I’d hoped to see her in her adopted state of Virginia one last time. I hadn’t seen her in person since 2013 or ‘14.
So, I’m beginning anew next week and will get more walking in after work as well as more time in the pool during work. That always helps.
Be well.8 -
Good afternoon Team Waistaways!
Sunday weigh-in:
PW - 187

Count me in on the Green challenge please! I have a trip to the Netherlands scheduled for a week in April, so a green month in March would tie in nicely.
I already have all my meals planned for the coming week, along with my scheduled workouts (sticking with Heather Robertson's 3rd volume of 12-week workouts - Heather and Caroline are my favourites!).
I think that this challenge will help enormously.5 -

My condolences for the loss of your best friend1 -

Up a little but the overall trend is downward so I'm not taking it too hard. I keep reminding myself I've lost over 6 lbs since Jan 1 and am allllllmost half way to my goal.
Currently being held down by a sleeping kitten but movement is planned for today for sure. I'm 90% over this cold. Meal planning for the week is also on deck. Here's to a green week!5 -

👊🏼 Yay! Me too, and if I hadn’t committed, I wouldn’t have done it so thank you for the push ☺️2 -
What a day - I had a long drive for a lot of hours with a new group I'm playing with, but with the smallest amount of rehearsal for the time invested. There were photos involved, which always makes me grumpy. Hopefully the next time there will be more actual work done!
I have not been as diligent lately with the No Zero concept, but I have been doing at least one thing daily. Today I might not make it. Lunch was healthy - that's about the best I can say! Hopefully between now and bedtime I'll do a short Pilates or breathing session. That would feel about right.
I hope you are all having a non-zero Sunday - I love the enthusiasm for green March!6 -

Yesterday 's win was I got hungry
after dinner but snacked on veggies. I have also worked out 3 days in a row...which is definitely a record for 2023. I am going to try so so so hard for a green March.🍀I am going to take measurements next weekend. My lower belly feels big. My pants are tight, but I think my arms and back are looking good.6 -
Happy Sunday, everyone. It feels good to be here catching some inspiration and support. Thanks for being here!
I, too like the sound of a green March. It'll probably take me a bit more than Irish luck but I'll try! I can just imagine how grumpy you got, Liselyn, not having enough work time *as well as* a photo shoot! Yowza. I'm currently wearing my fleece snow-themed-PJ bottoms instead of my jeans because they're a tad short as well as tight. Ugh - dislike that feeling! I'll be back in my "work bathing suit" (H2O-wear is a great company for chlorine-resistant suits for those in the market for one). I like that one can purchase the "tankini" style and mix and match sizes top and bottom. The shorts I get for that are the mid-thigh type, which feels more professional than a standard one-piece suit. It's at least more "modest". Oh, when will my grandmothers get out of my head?!
We're about to eat a dinner with fish and veggies. Lunch after church consisted of a 4-oz hamburger and some fries. I also ate some sweets during coffee hour so, the day is pretty much shot. I'll do better tomorrow at work, I'm sure.
Good start to the week tomorrow...I know...technically, we start the week here on Sunday. Here we go!7 -

** Huge shoutout to @lindamtuck2018 for surviving dental work without the liberation of ice cream, and for staying grounded when it comes to that funky number on the scale. You may not feel like you earned a win this week, but you're a warrior, and everyone should know it.

We snuck into 3rd place for week 3 - and stayed in the green as a team! Our wonderful top 3 losers @CarolAnnM2 @eggfreak and @adrimango helped us through Even though we as a team only lost 0.4 pounds, that is still green. Let's keep that going as we gear up for green March! We're now building weigh-ins that will happen in March, so track, log, move, and be awesome!
But first, let's get week 4 all tied up with a ribbon.
Sunday - Monday weigh-ins due:
@ells_bellz
@BlueSkyNomad
@nightfeeding1
@CarolAnnM2
@MoonlitMuse
@cleaneater80

😃 Gearing up for Green March! I will stay diligent with weighing and measuring.3 -
Did my first BurpeeGirl workout this morning. She switches the moves super often so it will take me awhile to get it down but it got my heart rate up and my body moving. I'm only working 2 days this week and have declared it Wellness Week. I have a salt cave session scheduled for later, a massage on Friday, a therapy session and am seeing two friends this week.5

Happy Monday! I am enjoying my 3 day weekend (President's Day in the States). I took a few minutes to write my Why for March and my How. I really had the motivation in February but between illness and holidays, that didn't happen. I feel really good about March. I am working on my exercise and meal plan for the week. While I am not perimenopausal yet, I know it is important to start working on habits now. I am going to try three solid meals a day, 10 hour window, no snacks. My fitness goal is to move my body every single day.8
