Motto: 🏋🏾‍♀️ Don't think, just do it!!

Recap: It's going to be a bit of a tough weekend. Yesterday... unplanned lunched out. Called my son to visit with my grandson and they suggested lunch.... Today there are two NFL games. I will still be within budget but the food choices will not be the best. Yes... I "could" make better choices but this is for the long run so I have to make it liveable. But to counter... this is my rest day but I went out and walked (minded you "out" means out in the cold (30 degrees) and walked for 30 minutes.

1/26 216.4 ~ not thrilled with today...but considering the big picture > down 7.2 for the MONTH! That's HUGE!

Good morning! Like I said, I plan to be here a bit more this week, given my gain from last week. This is exactly the point where the effort would have just faded in the past, so I am working on my "turn it around" skills. Identified some trouble spots and have upped my mental game on them. I am also aiming to monitor and increase my protein this week (I am such a carbs girl!) Walked to our local bulk food store yesterday for some protein powder (which I have never used) to try out a new breakfast bar recipe. Extra steps and extra protein - seems an okay start.

Keep hammering it, girl. Your team is here behind you!

Hey, good morning, Downsizers! Hope you all had a good week.

Here are my numbers for the week, @lindamtuck2018.

    Member: rwillems
    Weigh-in day: Sunday
    PW: 286.6 lbs
CW: 275.4 lbs (down 1.2 lbs)

Nothing spectacular but in the right direction. Slow and steady, stick with the plan.

Congrats on the loss! My motto is slow and steady wins the race.

Bleeegh, currently under the weather. Set my move back a couple days as I have a multi-hour exodus to my new home. "Every little thing is gonna be alright" 💛

What a terrible time to get sick. Feel better and good luck with the move.

Way to go walking in the cold. Looking for ways to offset a higher calorie day is positive. I think every precious moment with our grandchildren is worth a restaurant meal out. We go out for breakfast with our granddaughters every 3 to 4 weeks. I love getting that time with just the girls and its worth having a higher calorie day than I normally would.

    Steps: 6,384
    Rings: ✔️
    Walk: 1/3
    Swim: 0/2

My step count was surprising. My biggest plus yesterday was I resisted the urge for a blizzard.

@lindamtuck2018 Great surprises! Good for you! :) My husband likes to bring those blizzards home for us all. I have to put mine in the freezer and ration it out.

No, they weren’t aerobic. But thanks for trying 🤓

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
So 1/23 is only the step count. 3,893.

And no I didn’t see any message regarding 1/23, I looked back to see what I missed and I couldn’t find anything, sorry.

    After some advice .....
I'm going to the usa for 6 weeks later this year. Which are the best restaurants to get low calorie/low carb meals? And best supermarkets for low calorie ready made meals?
    Appreciate all your wisdom!

I like Chipotles. Order the chicken bowl, with no rice, or beans. Also, just about any steakhouse, where you can order a steak, or any lean meat, and then add some vegetables. Places like Longhorn, Houston’s, and Texas Roadhouse, are among my favorites.

    Weigh-in day: Monday
    PW: 221.3
    CW: 220.6

My weight has been all over the place the last week. I keep telling myself to only weigh once a week but I can't stop myself from stepping on the scale each morning. Luckily whatever number I see doesn't spin me out and I go on about my day.

Hi everyone 👋 thanks for accepting me to join the group. My name is Edith and I'm 53 years old and I live in The Netherlands, Europe. I've been on MFP for a long, long time but haven't noticed groups like this, unfortunately. I've had weight issues all my life and tried so many diets and other ways to lose it. Didn't succeed until I came across ketogenic diet. Lost a lot of weight in 2017 and 2022 (if you want more details you can read on my profile) but gained lots back again.. So now I need a bit more to keep myself motivated and that's why I joined this group. I saw lots of items on the group page, which I will start reading tomorrow (it's almost 10 pm over here now). I'm curious to see how the group members are doing.. I hope everything I'm doing regarding to reactions or messages and so will end up in the right place, as MFP doesn't show the right pages easily. I have to go through multiple pages, change the language and log in to get to the group page. Still I love MFP and it's members very much though..
