@TeresaW2024 You're welcome. Thanks! It turned out I'd accidentally turned off water to one side of the house, my brother and nephew came by and looked at it last night. Oh no hope your hard is on track to look beautiful next year! Very nice of your niece to share the produce enjoy those sweet potato fries!
@megnolia82 Wow that's an awesome difference in your waist, congratulations!
@trooworld Books and bread sound awesome! That stinks on the pool I was looking forward to hearing how much fun you had. I hope Violet gets in fast and is feeling better soon.
Hi team! I got in a workout and a lot of gardening today, feels good to have that done. I met my Dad for coffee and brought him some vitamin/mineral supplements to try, he's having a hard time with IBS and I'm hoping it will help. Not much else going on I have some HOA stuff to do and some work then bathtub. I'm attending a webinar in an hour, forgot what it's about but I know Joe Dispensa was one of the speakers. Have a great night and happy Monday!3 -

Well this looks a bit better. My scale gave me 3-4 different weights each time I tried, but this was good middle call.
Back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks off 😞
Routine is good, but so is sleeping in.
Back to a routine of caffeine and sitting.4 -

Not much but I am thrilled for it to be going down this week.
I haven’t checked in for a bit. It was quite busy before traveling. Trying to settle before I pack up again in a few weeks.
I am getting my meals back on track. Starting back to tracking, it’s been a bit since I tracked things. I am feeling positive about things though. Now to get to the grocery store to stock up for meal prepping. Hopeful!
I hope you all are doing well. I’ll be back to catch up soon.4 -
Good morning,
Congrats @Jactop @megnolia82 and @lislisa123 for making the leaderboard
@trooworld Yes, we used the starmark collar for this training and while walking pass Gracie with Diesel I will tug on his leash and reward when he looked at me. I hope Violet's eye is doing better.
@vegan4lyfe2012 I am sorry things are so rough right now, I hope you get our home back soon.
@Katmary71 I am glad the Salsa Cookoff went well. I am glad there was nothing seriously wrong with your sprinkler system.
After taking a break yesterday Diesel and I will be at it again this morning. We have a class at the park this evening we will be working on his interaction with other dogs while working on his down. I am back on track and all the eating out for the month is done. Sat. was not that bad as I ended up choosing grilled catfish over fried. John and I shared a dessert so all in all it was not too damaging.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

Congrats, @Jactop, @megnolia82, and @lislisa123, for your hard work this past week! Keep it up!!

@Katmary71 glad you got the water issue figured out in your yard. Easy fix to just turn the water back on.
I hope the supplements help your dad with his IBS. Did you learn anything interesting during the webinar? I had to look up who Joe Dispensa is.
@trooworld My mom also has very good skin, and hopefully I will age just as well. But just in case, I’m gonna slap on that serum, Castor oil, Frankincense, and moisturizers just to be safe.
I’m glad that Violet seems better.
@txcritter69 Have a great week with Diesel! That was a good choice you made eating out with John. Sometimes you just need a few bites of a dessert and not the whole thing.
Good morning, and happy Monday! I’m starting week 5 of the 8-week weight-lifting program I’ve been doing, and this week, I’m going to really work on upping my weights. I want to embrace the hard where I can, and that will include a week of zero snacking, zero sugar, and really watching my portion sizes at dinner. My DMSC program has us focusing on one main thing each week, along with an assignment. This week, we are working on not complaining and doing one 24-hour fast. Joe has promised to help me catch my complaining since he is my main reason for the complaining.
I will probably do the 24-hour fast starting after dinner tonight and going until dinner tomorrow. Have a great day!

@trooworld – Yes, they had broken up, but now they are back together. They are seeing a marriage counselor. I wouldn’t even contemplate co-signing anything for them. Hunter is good with a budget, but Michael isn’t. And he’s had several jobs in the short amount of time they’ve been together. Not trusting him at all when it comes to paying for things. Sorry your Saturday didn’t go as planned. I’m glad to hear that Violet’s eye is better.
@Katmary71 – So glad the Salsa Cookoff was a hit and you had surprise visitors!
@megnolia82 – Nice job and thank you for the inspiration! I bought one of those smart tape measures with Bluetooth and it’s been sitting on my counter since April OF LAST YEAR. Never used it. I’m totally going to start measuring. No excuses!
@TeresaW2024 – My quiet corner would be my craft room. I plan on being in there this evening for sure. I have a LOT of stamping to get caught up on! You’ve got me craving fresh sweet corn now!
@Jactop – CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Congrats to everyone on the leaderboard and to those that saw losses, no matter how small
I am trying so hard to stay on track. I am focusing on my tracking this week…instead of eating and then writing it all down and tracking, I am going to make a conscious effort to point it all out first before consuming. I’m also going to start taking weekly measurements. Those are all my brain can focus on for now. Trying to form better habits. I hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!

Good morning Slimpossibles!
First day back to work after vacation was difficult. As always, there was a PILE of work on my desk, plus the problems left by my boss Elissa, who tried to do some of the accounting in my absence. I fixed the problems, and I organized the pile of work; I'm about half-way through it and hope to be caught up by the end of the day on Wednesday. I have to day off today. WooHOO!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do I feel about my current exercise routine, and in what ways does it support or challenge my overall weight loss goals?
Since I'm on maintenance, my exercise is solely about fitness, not weight loss. I exercise several times throughout the day: strength training workout in the morning, a walk in the morning and again around noon, and yoga in the evening. Most days I ride my bicycle, weather permitting, for 10 miles or so. I tend to modify the routine throughout the year. In winter, I get more cardio on the elliptical or the stationary bike, and less walking. I feel like my routine works well for me.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do I feel about my current exercise routine, and in what ways does it support or challenge my overall weight loss goals?
My motivation; I’ve been dealing with some health issues since Jan. Most concerning is chest pain and difficulty breathing. Cardiologist thinks I have a small blockage (again) but with a daily nitro patch gave me the go ahead to exercise and encouraged me to tax my heart. Breathing tests show I have diminished lung capacity. Specialist says no treatment but 20 min of daily cardio will help. I also have CLL which is a slow growing leukaemia and tests usually show my lymph nodes are swollen so I’d like to do what I can for that before it’s a problem.
So my current routine is 20 min daily on the rebounder preferably in the morning before excuses. Other exercise (like walks and weights) is random. I have follow ups with all my specialists in the fall and know they’ll be asking how often I exercise so I want to be able to say “Most Days” and really mean it. I’ve only missed 5 days since June 24
As far as supporting my weight loss goals exercise diet and sleep are so interconnected for me that if I don’t do 1 then all 3 get out of wack

@ vegan4lyfe2012 I think it works best if you preplan your meals and track your calories before eating. That way, you are in charge of your food, not your food in charge of you. I don’t track my calories but I do know most days what I’m planning to eat for the day. Those pickle nails are too cute!!

@micarroo4 I hope you had a great vacation!
@trooworld I hope you can get to the bottom of what is causing your headaches. I love sweet and sour chicken! Hopefully, as soon as you start the water aerobics, your anxiety will leave, and you will love it. It’s such a great way to work out!
@Jactop, I’m sorry you have so many health issues, but it's good for you to do what you can. I love my rebounder! Do you do a particular program with your rebounder? If not, look up Earth & Owl on YouTube. Nikki, the instructor, is the best and has programs for beginners to advanced.
Good morning! Today, I have to work out and then go to church and Aldi. For dinner, I’m going to make meatloaf and horseradish mashed red potatoes. The best part will be the cold meatloaf sandwich I will eat tomorrow for lunch. I’m still planning to fast until dinner, so I better keep myself busy and drink a lot of water. Y’all have a great day!
DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do I feel about my current exercise routine, and in what ways does it support or challenge my overall weight loss goals?
Exercise is one area of my life that has been consistent. It is so essential for my physical and mental health. I strongly believe in the importance of strength training and try to do it at least four days a week. I’m not a big believer in cardio, but I know that getting in movement is vital, which is why I love the rebounder. I jump several times a week and often for a few minutes throughout the day since I spend so much time just sitting.

@trooworld – I am at the point where I just don’t care anymore if they are back together or not. I just want my quiet home back. They did start marriage counseling last week and they both seem serious about it, so that makes me hopeful. They always ask me questions and I’m all like Dude…I’ve never been married, so I can’t give a good answer. I chose to be viciously independent after Hunter’s father. Anyway, I’m sorry you got into an argument. Hopefully the sweet and sour chicken made up for it
And if I lived by you, I’d definitely go to water aerobics with you!
@TeresaW2024 – Yes, I definitely need to be in charge of my food and not the other way around! What is your recipe for horseradish mashed taters? I love taters and always ready to try something new!
I’ve been having a really bad couple of weeks with depression and not making the best choices. I saw my therapist this morning and we started working on really diving into the reasons of my overeating. He commented on a couple things I said and he wants to delve deeper into those. So I’m going to do a weekly appointment instead of biweekly to really get going on it. Sucks having ADHD and so much hyper-fixation going on. I’m going to seriously work on it, tho. Wish I could try a stimulant medication, but can’t because of hypertension medication. Ugh. Stupid Catch-22.
I hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday! I will after work…my stamp club meets, so I’ll get my crafty time in. Don’t forget to drink your water!

DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do I feel about my current exercise routine, and in what ways does it support or challenge my overall weight loss goals?
I like my current routines. Having an encouragement coach helps immensely. I think the key to it , for me, is to verbally talk to someone about the workouts. It definitely points me towards my goal weight.7 -

My dental work is doing well all of my stitches came out. I've been waking up between 2am - 3am every night, the last couple of nights was because I was in a lot of pain. I took some Tylenol and waited for that to work then went back to bed. I missed my Primary Care Doctors visit yesterday; I think I went back to sleep in the morning. I'm a bit fuzzy headed, because I'm not sleeping well.
I think I've finished my contest room; I'll think about it for a couple of days and see if I want to add more stuff. Judging starts in 10 days. It's still hot here, 104 right now.5 -

@vegan4lyfe2012 I will pray that Hunter and her husband can work it out. My niece let her man move back in last month. She is now on meds for her anxiety, which has helped, and they are both in counseling. I don’t have a lot of hope for them, but every month that I don’t have to pay that girl’s rent is a good month for me!
I also hope that you will find help from your therapist, and he can give you better coping skills so you don’t feel the need to turn to food.
My potatoes are super simple. I just quarter the red skins and boil them until done. Then I do a rough mash and add in melted butter, half-n-half, a good amount of prepared horseradish, salt, and pepper. It’s so good!
@FushiaKat, I hope the pain in your mouth will subside so you can get your sleep back. I’m sure your contest room is awesome. Can you show it to us?
@trooworld, I’m glad the Meloxicam worked, so you didn’t wake up with a headache. It is a bummer that you will have to miss your water aerobics class and make that long drive to pick up your MIL. I’m sure you are dreading that trip.
Good morning! I woke up early, and the air was cool when I took Maggie out. We both stood outside for a few minutes, soaking it in. It will only be in the low 80s today, so I will clean up the screened-in porch and do a little reading to celebrate. I keep feeling like I should find something for Joe and me to do other than stay in the house all the time. We only go out these days to church and doctor’s appointments. I know we will take drives in the fall, but right now, there isn’t anything I can think of since he walks incredibly slowly, and I worry he will get dizzy and fall. Plus, messing up his nap schedule means we will have more difficulty in the evenings. Ugh, I’m just frustrated and a little stir-crazy. I think I will work out hard and then be too tired to think about wanting to do anything. Have a good day!

QUESTION: How do I feel about my current exercise routine, and in what ways does it support or challenge my overall weight loss goals? I feel mostly good about it, my weights are keeping me able to grocery shop and lift cat litter and get around. I do workout challenges with some friends and I chose a stretching one this month but hadn't realized a lot of it was standing so two of us can't really do that. I'm not enjoying that part of my workouts at all right now and need to get back to more core strength.
@trooworld I'm so glad Violet's eye is doing better! Interesting I don't know about Meloxicam and headaches but that would be awesome if you could switch meds and have relief. Yum that sweet and sour chicken sounds amazing! I'm doing good just was busy Monday and Tuesday, Monday I worked then had Bible Study and yesterday I went to the allergist, Costco, then went and worked for a few hours and had my neighbor over for dinner (the hour cooking time for meatloaf was tough) so time was tight. I went out to water after she left and the deer were in my garden so I'm looking up prevention strategies now!
@micaroo4 You get some good exercise it sounds like an awesome routine.
@Jactop You're doing great with the 20 minutes exercise each day, I hope the fall visits to the doctors will give you some more freedom. I'm like you with food, exercise, and sleep (my fourth would be pain levels). I really hope the exercise will help with lung capacity.
@TeresaW2024 Funny I made the Skinnytaste Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball last night. What meatloaf recipe did you use? You've always been great about exercise and getting excited about new routines, I love that about you. Taking out some frustration through your workout sounds perfect, soon it will be fall and you two can go for those drives. Do you have any small farmer's markets near you?
@vegan4lyfe2012 I'd love to have all of you living by me too that would be amazing! That's a tough situation with your daughter I hope they have a great counselor and can move soon so you get your peace. A weekly appointment for you is a great idea, I hope it helps. Are you able to take amino acids at all? I have an idea of something that may be able to help you if you're interested I can send you the quiz (you don't have to buy hers, to take the quiz on her website you have to give her your email so if you don't want to I'll take photos of the quiz to send you, here's her site too: https://hypnoaminos.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoqatkNZQH4zuIYqUQOzOXd7Fb-Hjykhf4pOYoALyrVJcsHdF1Ua ). I take GABA and it helps me a lot with staying out of fight-or-flight and doesn't affect my BP except it being lower because I'm not a nervous burnt out wreck all the time. I'm currently using one I got from Amazon that doesn't work as well but originally took ones from this woman who learned how to supplement for her daughter to not reach for street drugs (her book was real interesting).
@FushiaKat I hope the pain from your surgery goes away soon all the dental stuff is pretty painful. That's great on your contest room, do you tend to keep tweaking once done or leave it alone?
@19shmoo69 How are the steps going? I couldn't log anything Monday and didn't get back on yesterday but am headed to post it now, I'm doing more than normal but can't do a lot of course.
Hi team! Sorry for being quiet had two real busy days back-to-back. I may be heading over to help the practitioner with her presentation for tomorrow's class. Definitely need a shower first after the farm! Did a ton of basil bunches there then took banners from the Salsa Cookoff back to the businesses after. I'm having leftover Giant Parmesan Turkey Meatball for dinner, can't wait! Doing better with diet finally too. My roommate said he'd be out early which is a week from Friday so YAY! Have a great Thursday friends.3 -
@Katmary71 how are the steps giong? My steps are ok. The challenge....0
