Week 2 Weigh-in!
Friday
SW: 257.2
PW: 254.7
CW: 252.5
I'm a little surprised that the scale moved as much as it did this week, to be honest. I've been hitting about 400 calories above my goal fairly consistently this week, though I have been much more active (hit 10k steps for the first time in forever woot woot!) and most of those calories have been pretty veg and protein-heavy. I've also cut out a lot of my weekly sweets, sodas, and takeout, so water weight could account for the difference. Still, I was definitely happy to see the scale go down!
This week was pretty fun, but exhausting. I got my hair dyed and it looks really great. I also took my dogs for a few long walks and started redecorating my room on Monday and Tuesday. Then, later in the week I made homemade air-fried spring rolls and helped a friend with some date night grocery shopping As of right now, my plans for the weekend are a bit calmer-- I'm hoping to go bike riding on Sunday, finish a zine and take my dogs for a walk today, and work on some other more time-sensitive art projects.5 -
Weigh in day: Friday

I have no idea how that happened. It has not been a very good week. I've been very low on energy, so skipped the gym more than I should have, and have not really put much effort into food. Oh well. Hopefully I can pull it together this coming week. I feel like I'm starting to spiral a bit, so I need to get a handle on it before it gets out of hand.7 -

I’ve been committed to journaling my food this week and it shows, although I maintained my weight last week so I really see this as a two week loss. I’ve got to step up and get my walks in though. I think I’m put off by it getting dark earlier. It’s best for my blood sugar to walk after a meal, but now it’s dark when I’m done so I don’t want to go. So I need to readjust my schedule to better work with earlier darkness.7 -

I had my Physics midterm today. The professor already graded them - I got a 90/100!!!!
I'm going to treat myself to a donut and a relaxing hike.
My history course ends tomorrow (it is an 8 week course). I've got a discussion forum to post and 3-4 page paper to write. Need to read a couple chapters to get those done by Saturday night - eek!
I am making some time after work to go for a walk - been sitting all day for work and will be sitting to complete the assignments for history.
My boyfriend is planning a hike or bike ride for us on Sunday. Weather permitting of course.
Anyone planning a fall color hike?6 -
I saw this today and thought of our accountability group.

Hi @Pupowl sorry for mentioning it so late, but could I be excused from Sat weigh in this week.ive been travelling as my friend & I booked a last minute trip to Venice.I don't get back till Tuesday.
It's a beautiful city.6 -
Hi All...made it through a very rough week, both physically and mentally as work was busy and stressful. I'm planning to rest this weekend, do some reading, finish a few projects around the house, do a little walking and relax.
To all my Canadian friends...have a wonderful Thanksgiving...spending time with friends and family is SO important. Life is too short. Had a close friend lose a brother this week and she's devastated...you just never know, so love on everyone while you can, as tomorrow isn't promised.
If anyone has suggestions for what you might like for next week's or a future time's group challenge, please let me know...I'm always looking for a good idea or two...I have two floating around...and one already set for next month, but you can never have too much input...would love to hear from you!
Enjoy your weekend!

this week required a lot of work and conscious eating. i'm cooking alot and just don't have the time to enter the recipes so i'm guesstimating alot of my food tracking again. the upside is that i'm relying more on visual portion control cues and that's a skill i need to learn in the run long anyways as i can't be weighing out my food forever.
happy thanksgiving to my fellow canadians, and hope many of you saw the aurora last night! it was super cool.6 -
Please excuse me from weighing in this week. We’re temporarily displaced by Hurricane Milton. Thank you so much ❤️8

@Tomsgal1985 You weighed in early this week, so you are good for this Saturday. I hope you can go back home soon and that the damage isn't too bad.3

Ugh, what the heck. But I did space out weighing in until after I had coffee and water, so I'm sure it's not actually that high. It was a crazy week (I know, what's new, my life is always nuts) my autistic son has really been struggling in school so we have had 2 meeting this week with School and one with his doctor. I was actually suppose to work a short week this week because my daughter was running in a race, but I got called in for 2 extra shifts instead. I'm actually working an over night right now trying to stay awake, ugh.6 -

Gah! So much I want to say and am stuck using my phone. 😕 I know I'm going to miss someone/ something.
@PatriceFitnessPal great job! So close to your next milestone!
@frankwbrown you're having a great month!
Echo the wishes for the Canadian folks eh? 😉
That's the reason I am in Buffalo this weekend. My husband's sister and her children live in the Toronto area, we live in Maryland and my husband's brother and children live in Michigan. With Columbus Day in the US and Thanksgiving in Canada most (but not all) of the family has a long weekend. This seemed the perfect time for my mother-in-law's celebration of life. My son flew in from the West coast and my daughter/ son-in-law drove up from VA and we are staying together at an Airbnb. We are only together like that once a year so we were up late last night talking, drinking and eating chicken wings 🍗 The diet is already out the window. 🙃6 -

I think this is probably one of the best times to visit Venice, @izzyred9400. Have a great trip!
@Cyncia85 - Congratulations on your exam! You worked hard to prepare and your effort paid off. I hope the weather cooperates so you can enjoy your special time to relax after meeting your History assignment deadline tonight!
I wasn’t planning a fall hike but I like the idea so now you’ve got me thinking about how I might fit one into my schedule. I’m planning to drive to a boathouse that is about 35 minutes from my house tomorrow morning and there’s lots of nice foliage there so it will be nice sculling there. We race on that course November 4th, but I’ll be (sweep) rowing with seven other people and a coxswain then.
I’ve been doing some decluttering this weekend. It’s slow progress, but it’s still progress! It really was time to give away the laminated multiplication table placemat and study cards since my youngest son will soon turn 23. 🙄4 -

I’m sorry to hear you were displaced by the storm but I’m glad you are safe. It was smart to evacuate!
My uncle lives about a 10 minute bike ride from Nokomis Beach so he had to leave his house, too. His power is back and the foundation is in good shape but the shade structure over his patio got destroyed. Overall, he was very fortunate, even though the insurance company won’t pay for him to rebuild the outdoor structure attached to his house. He’s returning on Monday to start cleaning up.
My aunt lives in Ft. Meyer and had to shelter in her closet for hours because of the tornadoes. She knows she lost some roof tiles but it will take some time for her community to assess the damage.
I hope you get good news about your house and you can move back soon. I’m sending positive thoughts to you and your community! 💕💕💕

Surprised myself with that one, but definitely ate back the calories and then some. Enjoying spending time with my Kids and nieces though which is more important to me ATM. Will see what I can do today, although today is the memorial service and lunch and it's cold and rainy.😕

@jessicakrall8 Catching up didn't work so well for me. Now I have to slow down and rest and heal. Ah, well. Maybe next week will be better.
