Food inspiration, or what's for supper?

You seem to be quite chai oriented! are you going full Indian boiling it with cream and sugar or more along the lines of using the aromatics without the extra calories?1

Was dry and sunny today. Real nice.
Hooked up with friend for lunch.
Didn't eat (almost) any of the noodles from the large hot and sour seafood soup.
Then ordered a large broth to go to add to my leftover noodles!
Pretty much takes care of both lunch and dinner! Especially if you add a couple of cookies to the mix...
Since I'm only half evil, image password is three threes in a row!
Somebody was mugging for the camera!

Sorta authentic, sorta not. I use traditional ground masala chai, sugar free salted caramel syrup, hot water and just enough fairlife milk to make it milky (about 1/6th cup for big mug up to 1/4 cup for my thermos)1
-
Today:
2 cups of decaf with fairlife 2% milk and sugar free syrup
Egg/egg white scramble with scallions, diced ham and fat-free cheddar
Strawberries and cabot lite cheddar
Thermos of chai with fairlife milk
My zucchini lasagna chopped up to make it more sauce like and served with egg white noodles
Caramel apple pie yogurt

Is that repurposing of the bunnied lasagna? hmmm.... I admit to maybe adding apple pie apple filling to yogurt lately. Would probably work better with straight up lightly cooking the apples or just raw with some cinnamon. Watch it with the sweet tooth! It is still, easily, my own undoing as I can rack up the points (calories) in no time with a "few" grams of chocolate and cookies1

The left over (cooked) rice noodles were 675g. Some sprouts and onions were mixed in there of course but still! I eye balled about what amount of noodles I imagine I actually consumed yesterday while at the restaurant.... easily 175g. So about 850g of cooked rice noodles in the soup as originally delivered.... restaurants.... got-ta-love them!1

For weirdness, I will time stamp (roughly) my food today:
Chicken broth - 0100
Sugar-free lime jello and beef broth - 0230
Tea - 0400
Decaf coffee with milk and sugar-free syrup - 0600
Had to hit urgent care after work, so didn't get home and asleep until 1015. Up at 1730.
Strawberries and a vanilla cold brew coffee shake I had prepped (cold brew coffee, milk, vanilla protein powder, collagen, sugar free caramel) - 1800
Thermos of chai with milk - 1930
Chicken a la king with egg white noodles, depending on how work is going - probably 2200ish
Key lime yogurt - 23302 -
What's weird about it 🤷♂️ asking for a friend😎
Coffee, Lindt balls, melon, pineapple, rice crackers, white bread, regular chips, my home made egg lemon cauli and konjak rice soup, restaurant miso soup, seaweed salad 103g, sushi roll with mayo (250g) 🤯 hoping to not exceed maintenance 🤕😡 yes I did take the car scale into the Sushi place. Was curious! 🧐
And that's why we log before or while we eat not after! Cause I looked at my log. So we can add eggplant in tomato sauce (canned Greek type food, 153g), a (chocolate) rice crispy square 22g, part of a mini Danish (40g including the jam but not the rest of the pastry--so 15g turfed!🤯), 10g of weird pea protein based BBQ crisps, and a 9.5g piece of dark chocolate to get me out of the Lindt balls!!!
All in all pushing just over 3K Cal which is about where maintenance will probably end up (looks like a 25k+ step day midnight to midnight)

Right. Mine is literally all pre-prepped as well. I do not mess with cooking while I am in the trenches of my three 12-hour shifts in a row. The chicken a la king was from a previous cook, I just pulled 2 pre-portioned containers from the freezer. I cut the strawberries up and popped into portioned containers on Monday and made my two coffee protein shakes as well. I measured my milk for my morning work coffees into individual containers, with the sugar free syrups pre-added. The yogurt and the jello are convenience food packed.2

I've been "suppering" on frozen meals the past few weeks. Always so exciting to find good things in there - and they always seem tasty - almost like the food that other people cook always seems to taste better. And. Nice to be making room in the freezer for more variety. Trying to avoid the grocery store so I'm not tempted on the bread front. Must go today though, because I'm out of greek yogurt - my breakfast standard.2

Hmmmm sounds good stuff!1

Wednesday was identical to Tuesday.
Today was multiple coffees with milk at the work in the wee hours, then an americano with milk while I ran errands after work.
10:30am: 1 egg, 1 white, fried with a spritz of non-stick spray and some thick ham. Cabot lite cheddar cheese
5pm(after nap): legendary chocolate protein pastry (fake out poptart, lol). The pastry part was tastier than the filling. Strawberries.
7pm: taco meat (extra lean ground beef), greek yogurt, Pico De Gallo, shredded cheese, lettuce, Queso cheese bottle sauce, half a bag of quest chili lime chips with it4 -
Hmmm. That protein pop tart did not sound like a hit!🧐 Coffee good... sleep better! Look who's talking!🤯🤣🤣🤣1
-
Today:
8:45am - thermos (so like 24oz) of decaf coffee with milk and sugar free syrup
Planned:
Fried egg/egg white and ham. Strawberries.
Lettuce wrap filled with leftover taco meat, yogurt, pico, cheese
Grilled b/s chicken thigh, roasted parmesan cauliflower1 -
Well..... I've got my remainder of my 10kgs of soup, plus the usual suspects to supplement around it (need to remember to hit the yogurt or egg whites to add to the protein content). As designed (and tested yesterday) I can even separate the broth and have it by itself and throw the well done bunnies into other stuff (indian curry pouch yesterday)2

I made an egg bake:
2 eggs, 3 whites, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/4 cup shredded cheese, 1/4lb diced ham, diced onions and peppers. Sorted into thirds, eating it for a second time today.3 -
This is amazing! Had not read this. Currently in the oven: 105 g onions, 38 g cheddar cheese, 104 g egg, 133 g egg whites, 100 g white bread. Not sure if something is in the air! 🤷♂️ I mean for sure they're different but there's some similarities there!!!!😁1

For sure Pav! I felt like a western omelet.
I also meal prepped for the work week:
Just Meats Hawaiian shredded pork with accompanying sauce, sauteed peppers and onion, scallion and egg white noodles. That plus a cup of yogurt and sugar-free jello are my work lunches.3 -
Today:
Western egg bake with a little extra cheese on top
2 cups coffee with milk and sugar free syrup
3/4 cup cottage cheese with cucumber, tomato and onion, with red wine vinegar and s/p/garlic
Thermos Chai and milk
Shredded Hawaiian pork with egg white noodles, sauteed peppers and onions and scallions
Key lime yogurt
Lime sugar Free jello3 -
Love how you are on the same wavelength!!!0

My supper will be Dal Makhani (sort of black urad dal, with spices, tomatoes, spinach, lots of ginger onion and garlic, and about 1/4 cup whipping cream added to the pot which is about 12 freezer servings - so not tooo bad) green beans and boiled white potatoes. If I make it to the grocery store, it might be roasted sweet potatoes instead3

Sounds like a good plan Laurie! Today I did a repeat of yesterday except I had no real eggs and no cheddar so I used just egg whites and un-earthed some brie to use :-)
So basically run a stick of garlic butter over the microwavable bowl (between 1 and 2g of butter ended up in the bowl), soaked bread in beaten egg white, added some thinly sliced onion and cheese on top, and nuked it at a combination of full and 50% power.... cause I couldn't be bothered to turn the oven on!
Actually came out fine! Planning on greek yogurt and more of the soup for tonight...1 -
You need to put together a not cookbook, PAV. Honestly - I'm amazed at what you create without "cooking"1
-
Third day in a row.... egg whites again, nuked again...
~150 Cal each of bread, egg whites and cheese. And another 25 Cal between the ~1g of butter (rub glass container with stick) and the thinly sliced onions Throw in a bit of sriracha and we get to maybe 500 Cal.

Somehow that just doesn’t have eye appeal….. maybe a simple sandwich with those ingredients? Of course you’d have to cook the egg whites separately.2
-
Eeeek! I think it's the nuke non color you're objecting to???! Or the cheese drooping!???
However it has extreme tummy appeal!
Ok ok: full eggs are even better but calories would go up and I'm refusing to pay the currently insane prices at Safeway so I'm waiting for a Costco trip to replenish and using my egg whites in the meanwhile2 -
Today looks like eating out though😰 we shall see! At least I have some Greek yogurt with my nuked apple mix (old apples, cover, nuke, cinnamon, drop of liquid sucralose)🤯2
-
Paid over $5 for a dozen eggs today! It’s a staple in our house but I’ll be looking for replacements soon. More yogurt plain or cheap cheese protein? Unfortunately more calories.0
-
Oh, PAV. I think we might not want to include this picture in your non-cookbook
I don't eat a lot of eggs - I recognize their nutrition value but sometimes they just won't go down.
I've been doing a lot more with lentils - very effective cost wise and not too unmanageable if you cook in bulk.3 -
I think you kids just have negative ideas about the beauty of melted brie
But that's another story
THAT said; I promise not to include the objectionable picture... maybe I'll find a good looking one instead!
and... THAT said:
WOW Yooly... your eggs are sounding almost like the price of OUR eggs... once you consider the exchange rate. Mind you I would have been getting "organic" for my $8.252
