We have 2 (C) mostly sunny degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 12 and 24% chance of precipitation.

Shopping is on the agenda for today.

Jason will probably be heading up to Kentucky for a week or two.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday!

We have 6 (C) rainy degrees with an expected rainy high of 10 and 93% chance of precipitation.

I am feeling the rain in my bones this morning. I didn't sleep well, awakining from digestive issues several times.

I may take a nap in lieu of lunch today.

Jason made it up to Kentucky safely.

Back to work in a few.

    good morning all
Ed, I didn't sleep well last night either. Read a novella in the middle of the night. Jason's safely in Kentucky, glad you have your pets to keep you company.
I went to TJ Maxx yesterday for a little while, picked up some I things for the little ones and some tea.
We had baked eggplant with tomato sauce and cheese for dinner last night. It was good.
    It's currently 28F, -2C. Sunny. High 44F, 7C.. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.
I have a recipe for easy gluten free pita. Maybe I'll try that.
Will see what the day brings. Wishing all a bright shiny new week. ☕🌞🌟🍷🕊️

    Good afternoon
    Currently 34F and sunny.
I didn't have to serve. I had number 52 and the jury was picked by the 30's. So I am good for the
rest of my life. I read that after age 70 you do not have to serve if you don't want to.
Irene-I am glad that you are feeling better and good luck with your MRI.
Ed-It is good that you have the cats for company when Jason goes to Kentucky.
Vix-I just bought some homemade pita from Whole Foods. It is so soft. I will let you know if
    it tastes good.
    Have a good afternoon. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

We have 0 (C - feels like -3) sunny degrees with an expected sunny high of 14 and 2% chance of precipitation.

I ended up taking the whole day off yesterday, as I just couldn't take the computer screen for long stretches and didn't feel I'd be very productive. The cats did allow me a short nap after lunch but I still went to bed early as I was feeling very tired.

I did rally enough to make spaghetti with meat sauce for my dinner and have a plate of it left for today's lunch or dinner. I used up two hamburger patties and some leftover zesty red pepper pizza sauce, both of which I had handy in the refrigerator, along with some cut spaghetti and enough water to make a one pot spaghetti that could have been more than two servings but I still divided it into just two and had a hearty dinner.

A friend messaged me and is wanting to hang out sometime this weekend. We agreed to ponder that and firm up any decision later in the week since I was sick when he messaged. I hope we can get together.

The dishwasher is running now and work is happening this morning.

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 6 (C - feels like 3) clear (moony?) degrees with an expected mostly sunny high of 18, which will feel very spring-like.

Still having a few digestive issues but I feel much better than on Monday.

Work beckons, but not TOO soon.

    Good morning all
Irene, glad your cold is better and that the MRA went well. Hope they can figure out what's wrong and how to fix it.
Jo, glad you got out of jury duty. I couldn't remember whether it was 70 or 72 when you could just get out of it! I try to make gluten free things at home, that's why it's more of a challenge, the dough is different.
Ed, I hope you are feeling better and able to see your friend on the weekend. Our youngest granddaughter had a stomach virus last week and was sick for a few days, and shared it with her parents. They are all feeling mostly better now. Yay for comfort food.
I finally got a little sleep last night, didn't really sleep the 2 nights before that, so I'm feeling a little better. Off to see the pain Dr. this morning.
It's currently 38F, 3C. Mostly sunny. Becoming windy this afternoon. High 51F, 11C. Winds W at 20 to 30 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph. Warmer but windy.
    Wishing all a happy 🐪 day. ☕🌞🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

We have 6 (C) partly cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 18 and 37% chance of precipitation.

Yesterday Jason attended the wedding of our ex-roommate, in Louisville. David married his boyfriend, Jimmy, in a courthouse ceremony. Jimmy's parents were there, and David had some of each of his parent's ashes in vials, as it was important to him to have them with him for his wedding.

For dinner/supper last night I slow cooked some crowder peas all afternoon in seasoned vegetable stock, then baked four boneless, skinless chicken thighs with some seasoned avocado oil rubbed on and in the pan. To complete the meal, an eight-inch skillet of homemade golden corn bread, made with only corn meal, no flour.

That was very tasty and I'll have three more meals from it.

Breakfast was some grits with butter, salt and pepper along with some warmed-up Spam as the meat.

I'm experimenting with eating less wheat gluten as I am wondering if some of the digestive issues I've been having periodically could be related to too much gluten. We'll see if my experimentation yields any results.

    Work beckons.

Ed, good luck with your gluten free experiment. We've been doing it for decades, it's easier now. (I do eat some meals with gluten when I go out, it's a treat.) I do usually gain weight when I eat out, so I am probably sensitive to it. I'm having a hard time with trying to get my weight down again. Got used to eating a little more, not good for me.
    Hi Irene and Jo.
I just chased a persistent squirrel from out bird feeders. Give the birds a chance!
It's currently 34F,1C. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 47F,8C. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.
No special plans for today, will see what the day brings. Seems kind of nice out.
Wishing all a happy Thursday. ☕🌞🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's fabulous Friday!

We have 13 (C) cloudy degrees with an expected cloudy high of 19 and 98% chance of precipitation.

Sounds like an icky, sticky day, good to stay inside.

The dishwasher is running now. Other than work, nothing critical on the agenda.

It's currently 42F, 6C. Rain. High 51F, 11C. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch. Completely overcast, though not raining yet.
Our housecleaner is coming today, and I have a cardiologist appt this afternoon.
    Wishing all an easy Friday.☕🌧️🌂🍷🕊️

    good morning all
It rained yesterday. I saw the cardiologist. I have an appt for an echocardiogram in March.
I just started a 6 day pack of cortisone for all my aches and pains. I see my rheumatologist on Monday, and that should be it for a while, except for my 6 month check up at the dentist next week. Hopefully, I'll be feeling much better in a few days. Had a small glass of wine last night, that was good.
It's currently 39F, 4C. Partly cloudy skies. High 41F, 5C. Winds NNW at 15 to 25 mph. Higher wind gusts possible.
I've been making an apple with cinnamon baked in the microwave for breakfast the last few days. It is so simple and so good!
No special plans for today, run some errands, will see what the day brings.
Wishing all a happy weekend. ☕⛅🍷🕊️

    Good morning;
Currently 31F and very light snow. We had rain yesterday and the temp was in the 40's.
The temp dropped overnight, so now everything is a little icy. I think it will be a good day
    to stay indoors.
Ed-Good that you are feeling better.
Irene-I hope you get some good news from your MRA.
Vix-I hope the cortisone helps you.
I cleaned and rearranged the living room yesterday. Sam was all confused. :D
Today my plan is to tackle the kitchen. We will see if I can motivate myself to get it done.
    Have good day. :)

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday!

We have 7 (C) partly cloudy degrees with an expected partly cloudy high of 17 and 4% chance of precipitation.

Supper last night was delivery of a gluten free (but not CERTIFIED gluten free) pizza, made in an environment where there were wheat flours present. Breakfast this morning was the rest of the pizza.

My friend will be coming over at 10:30 or 11:00 to hang out. Don't know how long we'll hang out, but it will be nice. Maybe have lunch together, maybe not. I don't always have lunch, but don't know about him on that question.

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Thanks, Jo. I've taken this before, several years ago and it helped. I like to stay in when it's icy out too. You work so hard around your house!
Ed, how was your gluten free pizza? They're hit and miss. Always nice to see friends.
    Irene, hope you're feeling better.
Yesterday I went to the library to exchange books, and stopped off for a prescription.
I baked a spaghetti squash and had some of that for dinner with tomato sauce and chicken sausage.
A little colder today, 18F, -8C at the moment. Cloudy skies. High 37F, 3C. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph.
I went outside for a few minutes, got yesterdays mail and took a picture of the early morning sky. It felt good.
Wishing all a relaxing Sunday. ☕⛅❄️🍷🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday!

    And it's Groundhog Day!

    m9wljdjxjqm4.png

We have 7 (C) sunny degrees with an expected mostly sunny high od 18 and 2% chance of precipitation.

    This feels like Spring!

The gluten free pizza was pretty good. It was made with ancient grains. Not as crispy as I might have liked but it had a good flavor.

My friend got delayed by oversleeping a nap, of all things, but did make it over in the late afternoon, after he ran some afternoon errands, and we hung out for several hours.

Upon arrival I opened a jennie of rosé (he picked the bottle from my wine selection) and we sipped wine and had a great visit. No television, no background music, just friends chatting. We will likely do this again reasonably soon.

It actually worked out really well that he came later, as it was wine o'clock. I know there are no rules about wine in the morning if that is what you really want, but that would have felt weird. LOL.

Grocery shopping is on today's agenda.

    d afternoon;
It is currently 28F. We had a small window of sun this morning, but most of the day has been
    cloudy.
I finally got my kitchen cleaned this morning. This included all the appliances, windows, counters
and floors. I got rid of a lot of clutter on the counters.
Tomorrow I have to take my car in for service. I have a 7am appointment.
Ed-It is nice to visit with friends.
Vix-I like chicken sausage. I have never tried spaghetti squash with tomato sauce.
Irene-when will you get the results of your MRA?
    Enjoy your evening. :)

But I'm working. I will get out to sprinkle some stale baked stuff out for the birds though.

Ed, the visit with your friend sounds really nice, relaxing. We have a white bird , I looked up , it's probably a leucistic bird, I don't think it has pink eyes. They are still pretty rare, about 1 in 30000.
Jo, that's a lot of work in your kitchen, I'll bet you feel lighter, relieved to have it done. Early appt for your car! Spaghetti squash is versatile. Sometimes I treat it like spaghetti. 😊
Irene, hope you get the results from your test soon.
It's currently 29F, -2C. Partly cloudy this morning, then becoming cloudy during the afternoon. High 53F, 12C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. It's actually totally overcast already.
I have a follow-up appt with my rheumatologist this a.m. (results of ultrasound). Will see what else the day brings.
Wishing all a bright shiny new week. ☕☁️🌟🍷🕊️

    Good evening;
Currently 38F. The temp got up into the low 40's. We had snow overnight about 2 inches, enough
to shovel. With the warmer weather today all roads are clear and dry.
    Have a good evening. :)

Jo, snow is pretty when we don't have to shovel it, though 2 inches isn't too much, and it's good the roads are clear.
It's currently 49F Windy with a mix of clouds and sun. Morning high of 50F with temps falling to near 40. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Sort of good news for me, it's not the RA acting up, it's more the fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel. Along with a cold, wonderful. 🙄
Today is craft day, so busy busy.
Wishing all a great day. ☕⛅🌬️👩🏻‍🎨🕊️

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday!

We have 12 (C) partly cloudy degrees with an expected medium cloudy high of 22 and 19% chance of precipitation.

Sounds like another overly warm day for February. Plenty to do on the work front though.

Dinner yesterday was Omaha Steaks Boeuf Bourguignon. Lunch today will be the leftovers. Breakfast was gluten free bread with gluten free sausage gravy. The gravy was my experiment to see whether the gluten free baking flour I bought would even work for gravy, and it did, quite nicely.

    Back to work!

Wow, those are warm days, Ed. Icy here. I just called to cancel my massage this morning. There's a sheet of ice on our deck and little icicles hanging from the trees and bushes. Not supposed to warm up until the afternoon. Schools are closed and county government is out until after 12:30.
It's currently 31F, -1C. Cloudy with freezing rain ending for the afternoon. Some icing possible. (ya think!) High 44F, 7C. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precip 100%.
MFP asked for my password yesterday, which isn't normally a problem, but I typed it in wrong a couple of times so was locked out for a bit. Never got back to it.
Last of the cortisone pills this a.m. Can't tell how much it worked because of this awful cold I picked up.
Seems like a good day for soup.
Wishing all a pleasant Thursday, be careful if you're going out in the ice. ☕🌨️❄️🍲🤧🍷🕊️

I just got finished shoveling the driveway, deck and patio. I wanted to get it done before the freezing
