Hello!!!! Happy spring! Becky, did you get that snow? I guess where you are, March snow isn't all that unusual. We have had a lot of strong storms lately, and more are on the way tonight.
My half marathon is next weekend! Yikes! I am so not ready but I will finish. It might be walking, but it's going to get done. Yesterday two of my friends and I went down to Nashville to run in a nice neighborhood where there are lots of spring flowers. It was so pretty! Once the half is done next weekend, I am going to take some time off to rest and recover. I have been way to stressed lately! But I will do some 5Ks here and there, just some fun stuff, nothing hard, nothing fast, just out to have a good time and see people.
Becky, I am so glad that we are still in touch here - even if it is occasional. I also miss SparkPeople - it really motivated me and of course, I miss the people.
Take care!!!!!

good morning!
It’s already approaching the end of May. I didn’t realize I hadn’t posted in quite awhile. I guess life just gets busy.
We’ve had many seasons lately. No snow though. I turned the A/C on a couple of days and now it’s cold and rainy. I had to remember to turn the heat back on.
I finally am going to PT now. Between that and my chiropractor I’m hoping to get more flexibility back. It’s going to take time but I’m determined.
Gloria-how did your half go? I hope you had fun. We’ve had so many perfect running days here and sadly I couldn’t run. I will run again. Not like I used to but I will. Other than that I’ve been spending a lot of time with my grandson. He’s 8 mos. old now and he’s so fun to be with. I so enjoy my time with him. I wish I could bottle his smile. More fun times ahead with him.I hope everyone is doing well.
enjoy your holiday weekend!0 -
Hi Becky!!!!! It is great to hear from you!!! How fun to be able to spend time with your grandson. Eight months is a very fun time for sure!!! Hope that PT is going well! I've been thinking I need a chiro myself. Haven't been to one in a few years.
My running is okay, not to great, but okay. I did the half but was not feeling the best that day and I didn't do well at all. I had to walk so much and it was very hot. In my mind I kept thinking I should quit but I wanted that medal and so I made myself finish. I needed a reset so I dropped my running coach for now and am just doing some very easy slow interval runs, very short. I think my body is doing better with that right now. I still strength train once or twice a week and try to throw some yoga in there too. It's been a struggle bus for me lately but with the drop in my running, I am feeling better. I did a 5K later in April and had a blast with that - I did 5:1 run/walk intervals and given how badly I had been feeling and how badly my running had been going, I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe if I take it slowly, I will do another half next year. We shall see. In the meantime, DH and I walked a Mutt Strutt (for the Nashville Humane Society) on Sunday and that was a lot of fun. He doesn't run but we have walked this race together three times now.
Take care!

Gloria-the mutt strut sounds fun! I’d have to walk also. I always think back about all the running we used to do. I miss it so much. It kept me in shape for sure.
PT is going well but I have quite a ways to go. Maybe by late summer I’ll be able to incorporate some running into my walks. It’s a slow process. We’ve had such up and down weather. We are into the sumner weather now but not like the last couple of years.
Schools are getting out for the summer. The festivals will be starting and before you know it it’ll be fall. Time just goes by so fast now. Need to just stop and enjoy it.Keep up the running and enjoy it.
Take Care!

Good Morning!
I hope everyone is doing well.
I finally finished PT. I’m feeling more positive about things now. I have a ways to go but I think I can get there and possibly back to some running soon. It’s been humid here and we’re having smoke from the Canadian wild fires again. We’ve also had our share of rain.Gloria-I hope all is well with you.
Time to get this Monday going!Have a great day everyone!

Hellllooooo!!!!!! Hey Becky so glad to see you here. Sorry, I have not posted in a very long time!!!! Work keeps me soooo busy. I am running but only a little, and when I do, it's mostly 1:1 run/walk/run intervals. However, I have done some 5Ks lately and if I am feeling okay, I will do 5:1 intervals instead. No straight running right now. It is so hot and humid here right now! Becky, glad you are feeling better about things.
We've been camping and kayaking (with my DH and some of my girlfriends), and we are still traveling around a bit for our parents - to Kentucky for my MIL and to Michigan for my parents - but not enough to Michigan, I would like to go more. I just signed up for an overnight backpacking trip with some friends. Just trying to stay active! My runs are VERY short, and I am trying to get more walking in!!!!
School starts in a week here - this summer flown by.

hello!
gloria-it’s so nice to hear from you. It’s been warm and humid here also. Being active is a plus. I’m glad you’re able to get some running in. I wonder how Sharon is doing. Haven’t heard from her in a long time. I sure miss Spark. I wonder if it’s still going.
I’m finished with PT. I do the exercises a few times a week now. It all depends on how sore I am as to how much I do. I’d love to try a little run but it’s just been too warm and I’m not handling the humidity all that well. We’re supposed to see a bit of a cool down later this week. Upper 70’s, low 80’s. I’d love to be able to do some camping and stuff but our schedule is off. I am planning on going on a road trip in Sept with my son, DIL and grandson. They’re going to FL and are planning on stopping along the way. They were originally flying and I said no but since they’re driving and are making stops I decided to tag along. I’m sure I’ll be babysitting some. They’re going to Disney but I’m not interested in that. We’ll visit my MIL while we’re down there too.
I hope everyone else is doing well.
Enjoy the last few days of July!0
