I got about a half mile walk in. I started out to walk a mile, but I got stopped by a man wanting to buy a house in the subdivision and was asking questions. If a house comes on the market, it usually doesn't stay long. I directed him to a one bedroom that has a sign "coming soon, house for sale". He should have gotten that number from the sign. The house next to me is under contract. It is basically the same size as ours, but the sunroom is built on (and not as nice) but the baths have both been remodeled and are really nice. I decided I had better just make a quick loop since I didn't want to leave Bill. Then when I got back home, the next door neighbors and her kids were working at packing and filling 4 cars and SUVs. They filled 2 panel trucks and 4 cars the other day. She is moving in with her daughter and son-in-law, so I don't know what they are going to do with all of her stuff! I had to stop and visit for a while and get the scoop. I hate to lose her, she's very nice and her kids are very friendly.

Got my mile in. I don't want to leave Bill for very long at a time, so that is as far as I will go. Right now sitting at almost 900 calories.

You probably work of more than the calories you are taking in with those walks and taking care of Bill!

I did get more steps yesterday walking back and forth to Bible Study. I can't say I did great at eating though, I did have a miniature white chocolate Kit Kat Bar, and my snack after Bible Study was some Christmas shaped Ritz crackers (Ollie's special).

I've done fairly well with my walks. I have been varying between a half mile, 3/4 mile and 9/10 of a mile. I need to figure out a full mile since that route is so close. Most of the time I have done the 3/4 mile, but I have been doing more of the 9/10 lately. Tomorrow is supposed to be kind of nasty, then Sunday will be a lot colder. We will see what happens those days.

I have stayed low in calories and have stayed away from sugar. If I crave sweets, I drink a small cup of Crystal Light, eat a SF jello cup, or just pop a tictac in my mouth. So far, so good. I have lost about 5.4 pounds, so I am going the right direction.

Congratulations on being so consistent and losing that weight!

I had four really good days with mild pain when sitting, standing, or getting in and our of bed. Walking around was much easier. Yesterday I walked back and forth from the Net House (where we worship) and after service we had a fellowship meal and a birthday celebration for our pastor who is in his 79 year of life (although he is 78 today he always tells us he is in the next year of his life. When you are born, you are in the 1st year of your life, but we are actually 9 months old when we are born, so we should be one three months after we are born! Then on your birthday you are 1.9 years old! heehee, figure that one our. I guess in China you are 1 when you are born and then your birthday becomes Jan 1 just as everyone else's in China! I guess you are not allowed to even have your birthday for yourself! When I got home from our fellowship I was hurting and today am still hurting. Just did too much, but I wouldn't change it for anything, love our fellowships!

I didn't walk on Sunday due to rain, but did .77 mile circle today. It was beautiful. I cheated eating a half brownie today. I checked my calories after dinner and they were seriously low, so I split a brownie I bought for Bill. It was soooo good. Shame on me. While I was losing weight originally, I didn't eliminate sugar, so at this point I should be okay if it isn't daily.

Yesterday I did not blow the diet, but ate many more calories that normal, and ate another half brownie. I was right at 1100 calories, I think. I walked .85 mile, and the hardest circle. I usually don't like that road because it is the only real hill in the subdivision. Today, my shins are sore! Back to my regular diet, today. All but my brownie was healthy calories, so I felt good about the take-out that we did…and it tasted so good!

Day 11 of this cold. I finally got someone to make me some chicken soup - me! I finally felt up to it last night. I can tell I'm at the tail end - the coughing is minimal and I'm not nearly as congested as I had been. My weight is holding steady. I'm not gaining - but not losing either. 😑

Cindy - Get to feeling better!

Actually added a couple of string cheeses as a snack to get my calorie count up today.

That's a long time for a cold! Did you do a covid test? Praying you feel better quickly.

Wow, 1100 is still a good number. You are doing great! I'm looking forward to the day I can walk again. I'm holding steady at the 239-240 range!

I am really tired of rain. I miss my walks, and the sunshine. At least right now it is only rain and not storms. And I don't have a basement that might leak if the rains last too long. There are good things about not having a basement besides no steps.

No on the covid test. I've been hanging around two different sick grandbabies in the last 2 weeks. I think I caught that cold from my 3 year old granddaughter. It started with a scratchy throat, then I got congested... 4 or 5 days in I had a cough. I started feeling better, then we watched our other young granddaughter - she's 13 months old - and she had a runny nose. Today I feel pretty good. Just in time to go out of town to Phoenix tomorrow for work.

I'm going to try to stick to salads for at least one meal each day for the next 6 days. That's how long I'll be out of town

Take it easy while you are out of town! Lots of vitamin C and zinc!

Sitting at less than 1000 calories, but no walk in the cold rain.

Walked 1.25 mile today. Found the perfect circle without the big hill. I kept meeting another couple that was walking the other direction. I told them that one of us was walking the wrong way.

Went a little over 1000 calories today, will probably be close to 1100 by the end of day. Our dinner was a bit higher in calories that I expected, but it got rid of left-overs in the fridge, so was at least easy.

I'm feeling so much better. No more cold! Today I've had a yogurt and a tuna (with mayo and celery) sandwich. No calorie count but it can't be high. I'm hoping to have a salad for dinner. I hope we don't go late - I didn't get much sleep last night.

So glad you are feeling better.

I didn't get a snack last night, so the calories stood. I don't have tonight planned, so I need to get busy. I just got back from my walk. Today it showed the same walk as 1.1 miles. I think the pedometer changes the steps into miles and if I take more steps or less, it changes the distance. That's all I can think that could cause it. Also, yesterday the phone was in my pocket and today it was in my hand…that might make it show more or less steps, too. Who knows.

My weight is holding steady even though I'm not doing much to help it! I am eating my yogurt/apple/granola salad every day for one of my meals and I cut out my afternoon snack. Now to be able to walk again! I am going to work on getting up and doing at least one lap around the kitchen/living room every hour, it really helps if I get up and move a little bit; it helps with the stiffness and I'm able to get up with less pain. Hopefully I will hear from the rheumatology office today! Lord willing.

    Love y'all.

I've been doing well staying under calorie goal, and taking my walks if the weather cooperates.

I was able to get twice the steps I normally get when I had my good day, and that was still only around 1500 steps! I'm working on getting up and getting steps so that I don't get stiff and sore from sitting too long. It also helps with the ache that I get in my thigh and shin.

Wade wanted dinner a little later so I did have an afternoon snack, but generally I don't have them. He made a tuna noodle casserole last night - yummers. Can't say it was "healthy" but it sure was good. That will be lunch today as well.

    Have a blessed day!

Today I only walked about 3/4 mile. Bill and I had gone to Moms, then she needed a few groceries, so I got them and took them back to her. When we got home, Bill wanted to sit in the garage, in the sun for a while, so I left him there to take my walk. I didn't want to be gone very long with him basically sitting outside. He was ready to come in when I got back. I think the walking that I did at mom's apartment and buying groceries probably made up some of my walk.

Calories were in line, so did pretty good, but I did have a sweet evening snack.
