Boy was it ever a ton of work making that 1.5kg and 1500+ Cal "food for today"salad!!!!🤣🤣🤣

Tomatoes, purple/black and yellow bell peppers, cucumber, yellow onion, all claiming to be grown locally-ish, mixed pickles (dill, onions, green bean, olives, mushrooms), black olives, yellow and red potatoes (300+go), boiled eggs (100g), formed "grilled white" chicken pouches (250g).... that's what I remember!😲 🤷‍♂️

    Way faster to nuke baggies!

You using trend weight or similar? Or just visual/napkin averaging?🧐

I log my weights into Libra app, which is a trending app. It gives my trend as 146.1.

Visit with the doc went fine. First question out of his mouth is wether the weight I've lost since my last visit a year ago (roughly 23lbs) was intentional. He was very pleased that it was, lol. He ordered some routine labs, I asked him to add cholesterol and thyroid panels and he did. I'll go get those done in a week and a half or so as my schedule doesn't fit it before then.

Back in town and catching up on posts. The raccoon/bear/etc talk reminds me of a opossum encounter I had with the pooches a couple of weeks ago.

Let them out at 4:30 am (yes, I get up that early) and both raced for something, barking their heads off. I called them off and took a look — thought the opossum was dead. It was all flopped over and completely still. Planned on going out when it was light and pick it up - when I went out it was GONE!

It played dead very conviningly, even with two dogs pulling at it's fur. So much fun living in the country!

    The "struggles"🤣🤣🤣

I've got to whack me on the head and at least do TV dinners or something closer to nutritious instead of downing 5-600 boluses of calories in two minutes consisting of less than six bites... which is what a couple of candy bars works out to.

The usual thing. A little bit tired. Hours to go. Stuff to do. Don't want to cook / warm up stuff because a dog stare down will ensue. And dog gets actively sick when eating incorrect items (fats esp), and especially without the various gastric medications that are all designed to decrease acid and move things along faster through her digestive tract.

So easy to sneak into kitchen, grab a pack.... grab a second pack: bang a full meal of calories in nothing more than six bites 🤷‍♂️

Maybe I should go back to having pre prepared yogurt containers with fixings — same calories but much more filling and nutritious.

I know, intellectually, that if I cut off salty stuff and sugary stuff within weeks everything will be tasting too salty when not prepared by me and the candy bars will be totally over sweet instead of "normal"🤔

Whack me on the head ms Yooly!🤯🤔

Maybe later I’ll whack your head PAV. Right now I’m relaxing on a perfect day looking over the Gulf of Mexico

So as the proud winner of a slot in the domestic availability fifa world Cup slots, and having received my notification during the day, I went to buy a couple of tickets to see Canada play in Vancouver!

To be greeted by: no single tickets available/ sold out!

For any and all of the games in Canada including Toronto (Not games that Canada is playing but all games played in Canada)

But! But! There is still availability for hospitality suite packages! Not the one where you buy the suite for yourself because those are sold by quotation after contacting a rep. No no. I am talking about the hospitality suites run by FIFA of which there appear to be five levels I think.

You know, one level includes free parking and gourmet food availability and a free premium gift!

And at the low end there's no venue parking for you and lower end gourmet-ish food and just a commemorative picture or gift or something!!!🤣

You would be glad to know that if I were to act fast the second best level hospitality suite experience still had two seats available for me if I were to add them to my Visa card on the spot. The top was not available and and the next couple I believe also were not available.

But one thing's for sure. If I were to buy a couple of tickets I would not have to worry about parking with that level of suite!!!!

    Why you ask?

Because the per person rate for one single game would divert the pre tax amount of funds that one could use to buy a Toyota Corolla crossover or Prius plug in Hybrid.

    Outright. 2026 models. New.

For one random game where Canada is NOT playing. For ONE ticket.

    Just over $40,000 CAD!

Only two left. Get it now before they're gone!

So I checked out the hoi poloi hospitality suite (I note that it still remains a hospitality suite and not general seating).

Again for a random unknown game that does NOT include Canada.

These were a bargain. At about the same price as a full price economy to low priced premium economy ticket to Europe!

Coming in at the entry level point of just under $2600 though most games were just over $3100. Per person. Per game. Without knowing the teams and without Canada included!

I'm just not sure why I did not go ahead and buy a few! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Use your words... what good advice. I didn't!.

So canine started going down the alley.... I see coyotes crossing at the bottom of the alley!

Since I was already getting ready with the leash (we were just getting started), I didn't do more than say her name a couple of times while trying to catch her.

Of course she thought that I was racing her for a full attack on the Coyotes!

A slight pull at the back of my left thigh led to a hop and a face plant heading downhill in the middle of the alley!

At least I remembered her name and COME to stop her from becoming coyote dinner!

So. No need for a dog vet!

MY vet appointment is for next week!

In the meanwhile I've gotten a tetanus shot and a three nurse debate as to whether to get a suture for my almost missing fingerprint… but in the end I'm just sporting a finger condom unless things deteriorate!

Wrist is a bit sprained… thigh pull is still painful. Almost one lower and upper paw are still functional… can't open jars or type fast!…

So… for the brave mommies out there… a little bit of gratuitous blood and skin! knee was through TWO sets of pants! ;-)

Holy crap Mr.PAV! Both hands and the knee. And I’ll bet lots of muscle aches too - because you ain’t a spring chicken anymore!

Take care of yourself… and no dog walks in coyote territory.

The left side is a bit useless. The precipitating hamstring pull, the strained wrist, and the non-visible in the pictures bottom of middle finger which was flapping around, all conspire to make it a bit hard to move around and open jars!!!!🤣 😡🤷‍♂️

So maybe eating out, takeout, frozen nuked meals? Can you drive?
This sounds like at least several weeks of recovery! ❤️‍🩹 It’s sad your CCCGG is not there to care for you.

Ha! I haven't even shared info since someone was on the all us girls are 60 this year trip to Marrakesh and Casablanca!

I still have the right side so all is good! 🧐 Yesterday was a bit unsteady on my feet (even thought about using a cane)!!! Today I'm thinking of shuffling to the store to get bread. No canine excursion though for sure. Slow pace!

Have the cabbage bunnies. And yogurt. And frozen stuffs! So all good!

Added six dumplings and 500ml low sodium chicken broth to one of the cabbage bunny containers and I'm desperately trying to leave some for later! 🤯
