Anyone discover hypothyroidism in early pregnancy?
I had my first trimester bloodwork done last week and the doctor called last night with the news of "some abnormal results." Since I was tested for HIV and for being a carrier of some horrible genetic diseases...my heart naturally started pounding. All that is was was that my TSH was high (8.7), and that my T4 was "normal"…

Weight Questions!
Hi everyone, I am 11w, 0d today and have some weight related questions for you! Due to PCOS, I had to take fertility meds to get pregnant. and I got a condition called OHSS, in which I gained 7 pounds in the course of a week, right before ovulation (I went from 156 to 163). That put my BMI right up into the overweight…

Low calorie preggers snacks
I have really bad nausea and the only thing that helps is to eat every 30 min or so. What are some good low calorie snacks to keep nausea down?

Will I pass my 3 hour???
Ok ladies. Just wondering if anyone is in my shoes... I failed my glucose test this week with a score of 207. I know the max is usually 130 to pass. Since mine was so high I am really scared of not passing the three hour test and being diagnosed with GD. Ugh. Just stressed. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the…

Too much sugar!
I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and first started using my fitness pal to lose weight. I lost about 25lbs ;) Now I am using it to maintain a healthy pregnancy weight gain. Some days I don't meet my calorie goal but other days I do or go over a little. My biggest obstacle has always been sugar! I don't eat a lot of refined…

Quad Test... NTD "High Risk" Results
Hi All, I was just wondering if any of you had the quad test done; mine was last week and I got the call yesterday that I was "high risk" for neural tube defects. They are setting up a level II ultrasound asap. I am worried sick about this. I know it is just a screening test, but it is still difficult to stay calm. I have…

What's your postpartum plan?
I am SOO ready to get back into a normal workout routine!! I was doing so great before I got pregnant and had such great intentions when I got pregnant, then the nausea set in....I really let that throw me off track both diet wise and exercise. I'm down to just walking, although my diet isn't so bad at this point. I've…

Pregnancy Workouts/DVDS
I'm currently looking into getting another prenatal DVD for home workouts, but am super hesistant as to which to buy due to all the mixed reviews. I have Baby Bells by Lauren Brooks, The Perfect Pregnancy Workout Vol. 1, and Suzanne Bowen's Long and Lean Pregnancy Workout. The only one I truly enjoy is the Baby Bells…

C Section recovery
Hi ladies. So I'm having a scheduled c section end of July. Have any of you previously had one? What I want to know is how soon did you have visitors at the hospital? I'm already dreading seeing my parents in law after the birth, because I know there will be comments about how I look or what I'm supposed to do or…

Video monitors
I just created a blog post called "On Baby Monitors and How to Save Your Money and Sanity," in case any of you are interested  I figured a blog post was more appropriate than a new thread, since I (obviously) had a lot to say. There's a TL;DR version at the end, too.…

Ouch! (TMI-ish)
I need some advice here- I'm about 15 weeks and lately my boobs are killing me!! I've definitely grown in that department (usually not that big) and I'm wondering if getting new bras would help? Or am I just going to need new ones in a few weeks anyway? Could they possibly get even bigger? This is not my first pregnancy…

1st trimester weight/calorie question
Hey ladies! I am 6 weeks. EDD 11/30/13. I was 128 when I found out I was preggo and today I weighed and was 131. I had changed my calories to maintenance but with exercise I have still been "under goal" every day. I am pretty active because of my two boys who are 3 and 4. So it is strange to me that I have gained 3 pounds…

Cloth Diapers
Anyone else cloth diaper? I cloth diapered my first kiddo from birth (she's never worn a disposable), and I plan on cloth diapering this next kiddo from birth as well. I'll probably have 2 in diapers when this one is born (my dd will be about 22 months) and I must say I've very excited to be able to start buying newborn…

Free baby slings.....
For anyone interested, just got a random Parents magazine & a website called sevenslings.com is currently offering "free" baby carrier/slings while supplies last if you use the code PARENTS4. The reason for the quotations is they don't charge for the sling, but they do charge almost $12 for shipping. Anywho, they have some…

MFP and Pregnancy
As I prepare to leak news of Baby #2 to the public (MFP friends included), I am wondering, how have you approached pregnancy on MFP? To my knowledge, there exists no Pregnancy Mode. Did you simply announce to your MFP friends list then periodically remind them why you are eating a few hundred extra calories and why your…

Frustrated
I'm getting tired of calorie counting. There, I said it. I realize that no one is forcing me to, but I know if I don't keep logging I will over eat. I'm annoyed with myself for not having more self-control. I'm annoyed that being pregnant requires gaining weight. I guess this is probably just a rough morning, but I needed…

new here
Well hello all! I have been with MFP now for awhile and lost 30 lbs before pregnancy. I am going into month 7 and I feel fantastic and have a 4lb weight gain so far. Exercise is still great at this point until it is time to tie my shoes and logging everything that I eat has not been as challenging as I thought.
