Fiber?
I started Paleo a couple of months ago and have been primarily eating just meats and veggies and drinking 90+ oz. water. I am no nutrionalist nor am I very knowledgeable w/ Palo, so what about fiber? I have not had any issues, just someone asked me about it.

Whole30 - Day 1
Today is Day 1 and I'm pretty confident right now, lol! But it's only been 1 meal, lol. Is anyone else doing a Whole 30 right now? Any tips, hints and recipes are welcome!

Glad to see a paleo community here!
I was 300lbs on my wedding day (6.5 years ago). I dropped to 250 but have been losing the same 30lbs between 220 and 250 for the last 5 years. I'm over it! I was an avid crossfitter (quick, hard workouts and olympic style lifting) until I was laid off - the company was paying the bill. That happened in October...since then…

Addition of raw foods
What is the connects of raw foods as an addition to a Paleo/Primal diet? Someone I am working with on another level is also a health coach but she is not Paleo, she is recommending that I try some raw food green smoothies. I was thinking that perhaps a few would be ok. I used to study energetic nutrition and herbalism and…

IF?
Has anyone out there had success with intermitten fasting (IF)? All of my life I have heard the importance of eating regular meals, so now I am on the fence about this. Thanks! Kelly

Cooking with lard
I like to cook chicken leg quarters on top of the stove by just frying them in a little oil in a big skillet with no coating and just some seasoning. The last 2 times I made them my husband just raved about how good they were. The only thing I changed was that I used lard instead of oil. I'm liking lard. It's not just good…

Quaker Rolled Oats....Paleo Yes / No ?
I have been eating rolled oats in my Protein / Oats breakfast and got to thinking that I am saying that I have cut all grains out of my diet but I am not. I only use these in a meal shake or breakfast with Protein supplement. Is this considered Paleo still because they are not processed ? I am losing fat still at a great…

Not eating enough
I'm starting week 5 of primal/paleo and am gaining this week. I don't think I'm eating enough and probably have to drop wine for awhile (yes, I know it's neither paleo or primal). I'm getting to the point meat is not appealing to me so I need to change up how I'm eating, what and when. How do you get fat in? What's your…

Getting rid of sweetners in my coffee:(
I'm rady to get ready to rid my diet of Splenda... I'm one of the morning cheaters. My coffee will never be the same:( this morning I used just coconut milk and didn't add the Splenda. I also like bulletproof coffee but can drink it daily because my body protests too much fat after a few days in a row. I drink it…

Has anyone else had similar reactions.

First Month Paleo Success
I just wanted to share my success with my first full month of Paleo. Not only have I not been hungry/feeling deprived but I have lost 8.9lbs while maintaining lean-body mass (huge win). I have not been working out other than walking with my fitbit. I am starting weight lifting this weekend and looking forward to cutting…

Would a caveman really do this??
I was in a recent conversation with a friend of mine who happens to own the local health food store, and she was telling me about a study that was done that shows that eating meat causes cancer so she's going to start getting more of her protein source from vegetables. Apparently this study looked at different countries…

bland calming paleo foods?
This is maybe odd, but I'm currently under a lot of stress and have lost my appetite. When I do eat, I stress eat a bunch of carbs--bagels and other horrible things. Don't worry I'm putting an end to it. But I'm wondering when you are stressed if there are ready to eat, healthful go-to foods. My thought is soup or…

What are you eating on the Whole30?
So I just started the whole 30 today. I am looking for ideas as to what to make. I just ordered the Practical Paleo cookbook, but I am looking for ideas for before it arrives. This is what I'm eating: Breakfast: Eggs scrambled with sauteed onions and swiss chard Lunch: huge salad with field greens, lots of parsley,…

paleo/primal no meat
I'm curious if any of you out there have done this without meat and fish instead? I have severe digestive issues that are making it difficult to digest meat without taking enzymes so I thought I would take a month and stay off meat and see if giving my digestion a break would make any difference. Let me know your thoughts…

Giving the Primal lifestyle a shot (starting today)
I don't know that I'll be able to do it, cutting grains is going to be tough for me and my family (I'd like to bring my kids along for the ride - at least while they are at home to start). But my family's overall health is very important to me (as is training my kids to eat healthier as a natural habit) and I keep hearing…

The Extraordinary Science of Addictive Junk Food
Makes my skin crawl: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/24/magazine/the-extraordinary-science-of-junk-food.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1& I think my favorite lines were in regards to Lunchables: the most healthy item is the napkin; and in regards to marketing Coke to the slums in Brazil: "These people need a lot of things, but they…

Looking to start a whole30 - advice needed
Hi Paleo friends, I am thinking about starting a Whole30 on my own starting March 1st to re-start my weight loss/motivation. What do I need to know/do? I don't have a book and don't have time to get one and read it before then. I know the basic idea: no grains, no dairy, no legumes, no processed sugar. What am i missing?

Juicing?!
Does any of you guys use a juicer on a regular base? I just started a few days ago (love it!) and am not entirely sure how to track the calories. Since pretty much none of the fiber is being digested, I wonder if I should just count all the fruit and vegetables I juice regardless of the fiber, cut the calories in half,…

Macros? Cannot hit them all!
I have set my macros to 15% Carb/50% Fat/35% Protein. I am usually good getting the to grams for Carb or close to but not for fat and much less for protein. In fact in looks more like 33% each macro. I seem to be loosing weight (about a pound a week)and shrinking but I wonder if I should be eating more. I also exercise…

Starting - looking for encouragement
Hello all! My husband and I have decided to start Mark Sisson's 21 Day Transformation. Tonight I'm going to clear out my pantry. Looking ahead, I see a few hurdles and struggles, such as ditching sugar (I love to bake pies and desserts) and pasta. Also, it's gonna be a bit tough to follow the routine exactly because he…

Recipes for veges on the side
I'm always stuck for great tasting vegetable dishes that I can combine with a steak off the bbq. I came up with this one tonight and it was pretty good served with a pork steak. Think this is going to become an easy standby dish as it would be easy to sub other veg. Tastes good enough to serve to company too! Would love to…
